I only played an hour or so the last time I tried, but it's already in the top 10 most crackhead games I've ever played. Still in the apartments/labs and I am shooting every scientist I see on sight. Any general gameplay advice? I remember not clicking with this game like the first one.

Yeah, I would bet most of the protestors are doing it because they don't like the idea of genocide, seems like a fairly logical thing.

The problem is that you have leaders that seem to be people who love chaos and attention.

For example, one of the persons organizing a protest for the DNC is bragging about how they want to make it big like the 1968 DNC protest.

And the 1968 DNC protests were a result of the Democrats refusing to do anything about their disastrously unpopular involvement in a conflict in which involved the wholesale slaughter of civilians. Vietnam is what cost the Democrats the Presidency in 1968. The scenarios are almost identical. I don't know how you can see this comparison and come down on the side of the DNC.

The fuck are you talking about? He's taken a very clear position on this, and it is absolutely psychotic. Nobody in his equally psychotic base is going to not vote for him because of it. A significant portion of voters don't see a big enough difference between psychotically fanatical and unconditional support for genocide and a "begruding" and calculated unconditional support for genocide like Kamala has. She needs to differentiate herself by coming out against it. I cannot stress enough how popular an immediate and permanent ceasefire is with the American people. She is shooting herself in the foot by being so similar to Trump.

It doesn't matter what kind of a zealot he is, Israel cannot continue the war if they run out of weapons. Israel cannot continue to exist if the US stops its unconditional support for it. Israel may as well be owned by the US, and Biden has apparently forgotten this. All he has done up to this point is give Netanyahu a blank check.

Kamala was in lockstep with Biden before he stepped down. She spurned Netanyahu when he addressed Congress. Two weeks ago she talked down to pro-ceasefire protesters, saying they want Trump to win, and just last week she was met with more of them and said she supports a ceasefire. The pressure works.

They absolutely, categorically do. Again, Biden could make a phone call at any time and it would be over. He is refusing to and there are very few Democrats putting any pressure whatsoever on him. They pressured him to drop out and there is zero reason why they can't pressure him here as well.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize those candidates had no agency whatsoever in the positions they hold. We've already seen this pressure by protesters work several times to soften Kamala's position on Gaza because, as it turns out, she does actually want to win and is capable of changing her policies to that end.

This polling is from May, and the genocide has only gotten worse since. A majority of Republicans support a ceasefire. This is what the country wants, and they are stubbornly refusing to do it. The Democrats will only gain voters by ending it.

What I'm trying to say is that from the outside looking in (again, I'm not an American), I cannot tell what the protestors want in this action. If this is a general cry for the US to stop supporting Israel in any way, why are the protests escalating against the Dems? Like... the party that would actually be likely to give a shit in the first place? I guess you could argue that trying to protest the Republicans on anything is a lost cause since Trump is a legit monster, but this seems like an odd tactic to take? Alienate the base that is far more likely to actually work with you and what your cause is?

And let's make no bones about it, every single American citizen who cares about what is happening to Palestinians will have to vote for the Dems. There is no other option.

The Democrats are in power and are not taking action. They care about winning the next election. You threaten their ability to win the next election by pulling your support. They, caring about winning the next election, do something you want to gain your support (stopping Israel from mulching toddlers). You get what you want, so you support them. It's not complicated.

The genocide would end as soon as Biden threatens to cut off all aid (not just weapons) if it doesn't. It's not complicated.
