In my manufacturing/engineering jobs where it's like 90% dudes, I can go "hey, dude. you made a mistake. Here's what it was. Please be mindful going forward" and they'll go "yup. okay" and we'll keep humming along. If he said that, they would go "yup, okay" and then proceed to actively make that same mistake for several months while also ignoring him/giving him the silent treatment until he apologizes for his harsh language. With his coworkers it needs to be something like "hey, is there something that you think we could've done better?" -- a passive question followed by shared ownership, when the asker already knows the answer AND that it's all that bitch Carol's fault. How is that allowed? They're long time members of the gym, who probably go there together and frequently, and they baked some cookies for the manager and staff. It's a little cringy but odds are it's a really sweet thing and a focus on fitness has probably played a major role in establishing or concreting their relationship, and is to be celebrated. Save points in older RPGs are a bigger deal too Final Fantasy 3's final dungeon is legit horrible because of this and I'm so glad my first taste of it was an NES emulator because of save states. I'm sitting around 600 hours in the souls series and I still have no idea what Mundane even does It rewards you for putting points into all of your stats. So you get a little of faith and intelligence for some intermittent spellcasting or weapon buff of choice, moderate carry capacity, HP, stamina, etc. It's literally just being a "Jack", but, like a badass one. Before level 50, you can refund any skill points so you can try all sorts of different builds and skill customizations so you can toggle things as you feel like experimenting, or a new skill becomes available, or you find some awesome gear combo that greatly rewards a certain damage type Oh, and if you sell all of your weapons (even the ones you have equipped) you cannot use any skill, and it's possible to get stuck if you're in a very narrow band of storyline where you're trapped, need to fight to escape, and no vendor is available. It's kind of like an office, with no door or windows And close proximity to others who are often trying to have a conversation or hold a meeting and honestly multiple people all talking around me while I'm also trying to read, write, or also talk in a different conversation is a frustrating experience.
