Beneath this, he is driven by a singular, violent goal: vengeance. His Lawful Good alignment isn't just a philosophy; it's an act of desperate overcompensation for his family's dark past with the Cult of the Dragon. He doesn't just strive to do good; he feels compelled to perform good deeds to an extreme, almost reckless degree, as if each act is a direct atonement.

He is not being cruel; he genuinely doesn't read the room well enough to know he should stop smiling.
