K, so still having issues.

My team is:
Warrior of Light
Rikku
Tilith
Marie
Friend DPS (used Fryevia on the last attempt)

Despite using Hyper Nullall and Love You All back and forth, keeping Attack and Magic Broken with Arms Eraser and Sonic Knuckles on Warrior of Light to clear the Deep Breath, I still just get destroyed.

Acid Rain keeps clearing buffs and does massive damage at the same time, so if any team member other than the DPS unit dies, I have to figure out how to raise them, fully heal the team, and still get Elemental resistances and mitigation up without falling behind.

I'm obviously still overlooking something or doing something wrong.

Wind attacks... Negative. That would make things easier. I had missed that aspect of the fight strategy.

I was thinking of taking one of Marie, Rikku, or Tilith out and replacing with Ace or Orlandeau so I had a bit more damage.

So I'm going to start working on Trials that I've fallen behind on.

I did the Echidna Trial today and cleared it on my second attempt with 2/3 missions, and then went in on the third attempt and collected the last reward. I used Marie, Rikku, WoL, Tilith, and the best chaining DPS friend I had.

Now trying to do Ultros trial, and I've failed at it three times already. I feel like I am missing something rather important here. I'm either not doing enough damage and I lose members from Typhon snorting them out, or I am getting attritioned by the massive amount of damage going out and having to constantly raise people.


What 5 Staples should I be going for in the Ultros fight that I'm missing here?

I like Marie, I put Recovery Rod on her and run her as a secondary full support. She was great for Echidna, and I imagine she'll prove pretty useful for Malboro when I attempt that.

I gotta say, I'm getting a little green eyed with the way you guys keep talking about how many TMRs you have been able to obtain. It's a little disheartening that I can't macro farm and I have to basically use Trial Rewards and Event Rewards, and hand select TMRs to put Moogles into.

I'd love a couple Champion Belts, Quick Assaults, and other shiz.

I do have Beastlord, but Excalibur was needed for Chaining. Genji Blade is better attack, but I have Cruel Oath as well, but I will have Virtuous Contract in 2 more Moogles. I use Cold Snap, but could also use my only Ruler Ring and get the same attack but boosts in a few other areas, I just have the Ring on someone else right now.

I only have the one copy of Blade Mastery and Large Sword Mastery, and I don't have any other Mastery materia yet, so I can't reach similar attack levels without poaching the skills.



Without poaching from Orlandeau, the best I can reach is 642 Attack on my A2.

Being Free to Play might also have something to do with it since I'm not getting any refreshes for Raid Orbs or Energy, but it could just be bad RNG for me not getting all that many Snappers too.

I don't understand how people have banked SO MUCH gil to be quite honest. Most I've ever had on me at any given point was probably around 7 million before Enhancements came out. Expeditions and leveling alone consume a ton of gil. I have about 30 max 6* units and a bunch of other things that I've leveled up as well into the 5* ranges.

I never expect it to go so fast, and I never really recoup it back either.


Plus it doesn't help that I get WAY more Cactuar and Trust Moogles than I do Gil Snappers from Raid Summons, and when I do get Gil Snappers in a 10k pull, I maybe get 1 Gil Snapper Family every 20k pulled.

Im down to 220,000 gil... ugh. And I've been running Raid and Enchanted Maze non-stop.

Expeditions eat more than I make, and I just awoke most of Soleil's abilities, so now I'm hurting bad for gil. I might have to seriously just run the Vortex of Desire of Gil repeatedly at this point just because of how bad it is.

I have Ace and a Ribbon, but not together; I suppose I could set it up though. My Ribbon is currently on my Ashe who is on my Arena Team lol, and my Ace could poach all my best Magic gear from Fryevia.

I fail the first floor of the Maze twice 50% of the time. It's really frustrating. As I said, for 15 Energy, I generally get 2 Gigantuars and a King Gil Snapper. Only one time did I actually make it to the end for the bonus reward, but on occasion I'll make it to floor 3 or 4.

I actually got the special finish for the Enchanted Maze INT. At least 50% of the time, the game has me fail on the first floor twice and then I walk away with 2 Gigantuar and a King Gil Snapper only.

I had twice as many Beastlord Moogles as any other Moogle, topped only by Adam and 21O for TMR quantities. Luckily got my A2 yesterday so they wouldn't go to waste.

I've finished Beastlord, and I 'should' be able to finish Pod 153, Resentment, and Virtuous Contract before the end of the Raid though since all are at or around 70% finished, and I'll still have two more 9Ss and a 2B to work on, so I could get started on second copies of those.

I live in Northern Utah, so while I won't have the 100% best view of it that those people in Idaho will, I'll have a pretty good view of it. I just dont feel like traveling 130 miles to see it perfectly. My kids had to have permission slips signed so they can watch it with their class (with protective eyewear of course).

Bare in mind that it was recently stated that his behavior is explicitly his strategy to play, and that he himself is apparently telling people to make sure they keep in mind not to take him seriously and he's doing it as part of the game in order to tilt people.

Maybe not the greatest strategy, but at least he's sounding more human and less toolish.

I don't watch the Feeds, but the aired episodes are starting to show Alex's "petty" side pretty heavily, and it's clear she is tied to Paul quite closely. I still completely lost respect for Raven and the way she was the worst person who harassed the outside group other than Paul himself.

Josh moved up from worst players because he made it clear that his actions in the house were intentional and that he was always reminding people that even though he's being a dick, he was doing it as part of his own personal game and that they shouldn't take it seriously. I can't say it's the best tactic, but at least he's explained why he's so annoying and I understand it.

Jason and Matt are still mid-quality players that haven't done much to gain my ire, but done nothing to impress me either.

Christmas, Mark, and Kevin are still portrayed as decent human beings with likable personalities on air, and whether that's the case on the feeds or not, I really don't care, but considering that someone has to win, I'd much rather it be one of these three than anyone else.

After somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 summons, I walk away with one A2, two 2Bs, three 9Ss, four Eves, and too many to count Adams and 21Os.

I am officially done drawing daily until I get over 7k Lapis again, and no heavy pulling until I get at least 50 tickets restocked too.

Yeah, unfortunately after Nier, I can't afford to do any form of Rare Summoning for a few months. So regardless of who is released, I won't be doing Dailies, 10+1s, or Summon Tickets until probably after the New Year.

I was at 7500 Lapis and 150 Tickets before Nier, and I'm now down to 1500 Lapis and 0 Tickets. Been using every ticket and the 10+1, and even spent 5k Lapis on the banner itself, so I just can't afford to drop anything for a while until I get myself padded back up again. And considering I am almost completely out of Story Missions to do, the Lapis isn't going to be flowing in so quickly for me anymore.

So chances are I'll be missing out on Mistair or whatever else might be a big deal for the next few months.

I feel like if Christmas was going to back door anyone, it would be Paul. She's been sowing the seeds of discontent with his influence on the game for several weeks now, and I think she knows that if it comes down to it, she is going to have to strike first.

That said, I can totally see her trying to break up major duos as well, and the two most well known house duos are Matt/Raven and Alex/Jason (even though I personally think Paul/Alex is a closer duo, but most the house don't see it).

I was thinking the same thing. That said, Fryevia isn't the end all be all DPS Chainer, so I'm sure they've made do as well. Plus by the time Fry was released here, they already had other units that are superior, like Onion Knight. They also have Cloud, so I'm sure there isn't nearly that much salt.

Once the Nier Daily 1/2 Pulls are done, I think I am done doing Half Pulls and Rare Ticket Summoning until 2018 so I can get some Pull Power back by stocking up Lapis and Tickets again. I doubt I need anything coming out between now and the New Year.

i don't know how Marie compares to Ilias (haven't seen her enhancements much yet) but it's worth noticing that he's likely going to stay bugged forever. he still is in Japan. meaning he's able to chuck out AoE Elixers or AoE Chocolates like a boss. if an item whore isn't what you want, okay fine.

Ace and Tilith are mainstays in my team due to damage and heals, and they cover mp recovery and health recovery pretty well.

Soleil is a question of "do you want 100-120% buffs and a mediocre break to the opposite stat of your buffs?"

I "think" that Tilith's Celestial Light and Elza's enhanced Ravaging Blow (60% defense/spirit break) for single target or WoL's own multi team breaks might be better than a singular stat buff (considering I use Physical, Magical, and Hybrid DPS units) and mediocre break from Soleil, but someone correct me if I am wrong.

Well, it's not so much about Cactuars burning a whole in my pocket, just trying to determine what's really even worth it at this point since I have all my bases more or less covered.

I have tons of options, but I just doubt anything would take a spot on any team I have at the moment since I have plenty of things to choose from and all I'd be doing is overlapping.


Veritas of Earth? I have WoL.
Ilias? I have Marie... and she's Enhanced.
Soleil? Is she REALLY worth taking a slot from a DPS or Enhanced Elza?

I have Orlandeau, Fryevia, two 2Bs, Ace, Elza, Rikku, Tilith, three Noctis, and plenty of other 6* options that aren't even all that top tier, like Ramza, CoD, Firion, and ExDeath.

So it's mostly just starting to boil down to "who looks awesome," for me lol.

I have the hardest time chaining anyone not named Orlandeau lol.

I even had Fry, 2B, and Landeau in a team and couldn't get over a 12 Chain with Blitz, Speed, and DR.

Looks like I can save 1750 Lapis on daily pulls for the next week at least, and hopefully longer if the coming weeks are still rather pointless. I might continue to use excess tickets on the Nier Banner in hopes of A2 though.

After this next week it's back to saving tickets until probably Basch or Onion Knight I'm guessing.

I have two Leons for DKS, and while it's tempting to raise up both of them to get DKS faster, I imagine it's more valuable to only do that if I get another copy somewhere down the line, as two copies are likely better than one. Still, just want to make sure before I put myself into a bit more of a slog.

And is there any reason to have two Aqua Blades, assuming I have two copies of Dual Wield? I know AB has a bit more restrictions on being useful, so if I only need one copy, then I can train up my Camille's in unison.

If you macro TMR farm, it's more efficient to run the same unit at the time, and then whether you need one copy or not, you can opt to fuse multiples together and combine their total values +5% for each above the first.

I wish I could Macro farm, but I don't have the capability, but when I went for Dual Cast, over the course of about 5 months, I ran 5 Ludmilles at once doing story mode missions with a carry friend unit until each was about 18+%, then fused them all together and finished it off with a few regular Moogles. I only got one copy of Dual Cast, but I haven't needed more than one copy.

All my other TMRs I just go for one copy at a time. Once I get 100%, I might start another copy if I get another unit with it, but as Free to Play with limited TMR gaining capability, I only worry about getting 1 copy of anything at a time with my biggest focus on things that give either 30% bonus, Dual Wield (ability or items), or weapons of 120 attack (like Excalibur and Demon Scythe).

I have 70% worth of Trust Moogles for Beastlord.

In comparison...
-I've completed one Adam Trust, and have 3 more Adams.
-I have 15% towards one 9S, but have a total of three 9Ss.
-I have 10% towards one Eve, but have a total of three Eves.
-I have 10% towards one 2B, but have two 2Bs.


Also...
I started the event with 150 Tickets and 7500 Lapis. I am completely out of tickets and down to 2500 Lapis. Never spent money on this game, and don't intend to start now, but really sad that I might have to sell all those Beastlord Trust Moogles.

I have never pulled a rainbow from a multi pull aside from the guaranteed one.

So not expecting too much in this last ditch attempt at A2.

I pulled two Rainbows in one 10+1 way back during the original Brave Frontier Banner. It was the last time I did a 10+1 before they gave us the guaranteed 5* one and all the tickets. I got an Elza and a 5* Tilith in that pull, and I remember saying to myself I am never doing a 10+1 again because I had consumed all my luck on that pull.

Well... I did a another 10+1 on this banner so lolme (spending the 5k Lapis). I am down to 2500 Lapis, so I will probably continue doing Daily pulls on this Banner in the hopes of getting A2, and then take a break from spending Lapis all together until I can restock my supply.


I do have two 2Bs though, which is way more than I was expecting to get tbqh, and the only reason I want A2 is because for some reason I am getting a crap ton of Beastlord Trust Moogles from Raid Summon, and if I don't pull her I'm going to have to pretty much just sell them :(.
