I had, a frozen meal....that tasted good. I mean.....without adding anything except rice.

I had a Newmans Own Brocolli Beef frozen bag, which I cooked in a pot, and then added Jasmine Rice (boiled in a bag), and.....it was delicious.

I am going to buy more of them.

I was trying to resist spending $40 to get Chineese food delivered, and figured, why not, I bought this a year ago or something, as a last resort just in case i'm starving or something messure.

It was good. Better then what they consider chineese food anywhere closer then the place which is a freaking 40 minute drive away (so I get food delivered for there, but it costs an extra $15 dollars).

I mean, I have had frozen burritos that where not horrid. Not good, but edible. That was about as close as I have ever gotten to liking a frozen meal before.

With edible frozen meals as a possibility, would I ever need to leave the house?

My mind is blown, I can no longer say "YEACH" any time someone mentions frozen dinners/meals.

Perhaps I have just gotten old enough that my taste buds are dead enough to like it or something. IF so, I wish it hadn't taken so freaking long. Frozen dinners would sure make life easier.

I went back and listened to all of it (only made it half way the first time).

It's not horrible. I have heard other parts of Hamilton though that seemed like rap or cursing or something, it's been awhile, but I KNOW that I didn't like what I heard back then.

That being said, Let it go isn't horrible. To be honest though, that type of music/singing/musical performance only really works for me live. There is something about feeling the emotions, and seeing the performers that brings it to life.

So yeah, I would have to experience it live to really know if I could like it. I'll try and keep a more open mind about parts of Hamilton, but I still would not go see it. I may look up other songs and see if I like them online though.

I didn't expect to like Chicago at all for instance, but really enjoyed it. That being said, I don't like rap (at least not traditional, some music rap is ok) so if many parts of Hamilton are rap or rap light, that isn't going to work for me.

So GMG has a summer sale going. I say Tyranny on sale for $22, and knights of pen and paper 2 for $3 and chance, and they have this BIG banner saying if you add SUMMER2017 you get an additional 15% off at the top.

So, yeah, I spend a good 40 minutes searching through their games to find the above 2, add them to my cart and type in the coupon.

Sorry, this coupon is only good for FLASH SALES!!!

It does say that in very tiny little writing at the bottom, but yeah.

So I'm not buying those games unless they go on flash sale now. Freaking bait and switch!!

GRRR.

Anyway...if you don't know, or don't have Borderlands 2 game of the year edition (or want dead rising 4 since it's also on flash sale), they have a big summer sale going on over there.

Still....blah.

Guess it's good anyway, I have too many games. I need to stop buying them just because they are on sale.

I have always found it a bit rude, I really don't want to talk to random people about that stuff lol.

And yes, I should just not bring the topic up...but I don't remember where it leads and much like I post stream of conciousness, I also talk that way. I'm a horrible liar because of that (not a bad thing since I don't like lying).

But not Hamilton. Nope.

Also not The Lion King (I pretended to be sad when we didn't get to go, but inside...I was SOOOO happy).

Seriously though, Hamilton sounds like torture to me. If there is a hell, and I somehow deserved to go there (I'm not worshiping any gods so yeah...could happen), I'd probably be forced to watch that for eternity (then again even being forced to watch Bill and Teds excellent adventures for eternity would eventually become torture.....probably).

There are enough games etc for me to enjoy that I have not played that I could go back a year or so, play the lotto and get a huge jackpot (2 posters mentioned the billion dollar one already), but I wouldn't stop there. I'd plan for that, but also memorize/write down games to bet on, the best stock market picks etc, so I could make a ton of money in the next year after that as well.

Hopefully get a few billion out of it, then I could invest that money on making some really freaking awesome games for me to play and really get VR going (good VR rpgs and especially get a strong good SAoL type VR mmo going as well.

So yeah, back to 2015-16 or so before the big lottery.

I said....no...I've been burned with pre-ordering too many times, lets see if there is a sale after it's released.

Sure enough, it's 20% off on release day.

What is more, we didn't realize that it'll eventually be free to play even.

I'm trying to be a bit more responsible in my game purchasing choices as I just have waaay to many I have not played. Glad I waited for now, as I would again, have been mad at a sale that starts on release day.

Seriously rediculous that they PUNISH people for pre-ordering their games.

I don't think I have. At any rate, it'd be between (and not sure if I can mention, since 2/3 would probably be honorary mentions) Time Crisis 3, Ninja Assault, and... I'm blanking on the third one. Maybe it was RE:UC.

Ninja Assault is one of the best relatively-unknown shooters. It's a game about gun-toting ninjas fighting the undead and supernatural things in a feudal Japanese setting:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninja_Assault

It was an arcade title which got a ps2 port.

I own Ninja Assult, it's one of the games I have set asside to play when I set up my light gun system, but have not in ages (don't have a CRTV anymore and don't wanna pay for a HD lightgun (it's like $70). IT was good, but yeah, Elemental Gearbolt is freaking awesome. IF you like lightgun games, you gotta try it sometime if you can.

Other then that, everything other then fast food and places like Mama Bears Diner seem expensive. The diner has mixed reviews with some people saying the burgers are pretty bad...and if you have bad burgers.....

I'd check out original Joes though, 3$ happy hour is probably worth it if nothing else.

Might consider choosing your resteraunts/stops ahead of time and calling them, letting them know your on a budget, but will be blogging about your trip and would love to stop by and eat there, take pictures etc. They might be willing to comp your meal, or give you a discount or something.

I could stretch $25 for a week to buy food with, but it would totally suck... Get a jar of peanut butter, some jam, and a couple loaves of bread. That's only about $10cdn gone. Anything left over spend on value menu burgers for a treat.

Well, peanut butter you would need to buy, but jelly you can get from any dinner that serves toast etc, and it won't need to be refrigerated after opening (since it's in small packets). You can find somewhere near you with a jar of peanut butter for $2 I'm sure (heck sometimes even less). If you can find somewhere with Tuna on sale for $.50 a can, that would rock as well (just bring packets of mayo and your set). Sandwiches can be super cheap for a week, which could leave you most of your mulla for actually getting decent meals. You might be able to get everything you need for $5 and have $20 left over, but it would be hard. Safeway does have the loaves of French bread for a buck still sometimes, and that can make at least 4 large sandwiches (so 2 for the week). If you got a thing of Peanut butter for $2, and 2 cans of tuna, that could last you the whole week for $5 I guess (although you would probably need another loaf of bread, so $6 min. Still that would leave $19 for decent meals.

Ok, best I could find for deals in Jasper are:

Lou Lou Pizza, cheapest pizza prices and still has good reviews

And

Whistle Stop Pub (burgers etc, good fries, large portions, cheap).

The others are all sandwich shops, and you can do sandwiches cheaper yourself.

On to the next town.

Btw, this is not with any calling of individual places, if you care enough, you could call around and see if anyone would offer you deals, let you wash some dishes or something for a discount etc so you could try their food. I bet many would be so honored that you want to eat there that badly that they would offer you something.

Here is a list of cheap places in Medicine hat. I found a few on this list already, but they are all the list so I figured I'd just post this.

Tino's Drive in was the one I was going to suggest first as the prices are pretty cheap. Most of the places had at least $12 for a meal, this place has stuff for $6 or so.

Not really sure if it's worth eating there, but it has good ratings and is cheap. I'd rather eat at the Whiskey Creak club as they have entertainment (I think dancers) and good food, and you can get a Chicken meal or Fried Fish meal for $10 there (and the food looks delicous).

Gonna look at the other towns now.

It might be possible to spend only $25 for food on a week long road trip, but it's going to be a miserable road trip.

When I was young, I graduated HS early (on my 16th Bday) and my wonderful mother kicked me out. I had a job already, but I saved as much money as I could, only renting a storage locker ($50 a month), and didn't spend much on food.

You can still eat fairly well cheaply, you just can't really take advantage of the new places to eat while your on the trip. Tons of food can travel safely though (same as if you go mountain climbing/white water rafting which I did in my 20's). You could travel with a variety of sandwich stuff for instance, and it them for less then $10 a week easily (especially if you don't mind using packages of mayo from fast food resteraunts etc...same with mustard etc).

If it was me, and I had a hard 25$ limit, I'd probably go with $10 of food for sandwich stuff etc, throughout the week, and then careful choose where I would spend the remaining $15 on either 1 really nice meal, or 2 decent ones along the way.

Actually if it was me, I'd freaking still research the good resteraunts that I really want to try, and call ahead and see if they would let me wash dishes so I could try their food, or get a discount or something, cause yeah, I would not wanna miss out due to not having enough money.

If your good with a musical instrument, perhaps you could play for your supper or something. Gotta be a way, cause good food is such an important part of a trip!

If you wanna post where you are going or if it's a road trip the route you will take, I could try and find you some really good deals along the way.

I love food, and I especially love eating out. I spend alot of time planning where I will eat before any trip.

I generally don't factor in the money much, but instead aim for the best food, most well known places etc (or something I can't get near where I live), but I can use those skills to find cheap deals as well if you like.

Don't even really need the dates, just the route/locations and I can go from there. That being said, $25 is REALLY low, andI woudln't be able to do that much with it. Is there any way to up the amount you would have at least to like 8$ a day ($50 for the whole week). It would make a huge difference. I really wouldn't want to go on a trip without being able to spend $10 a day to be honest, but you can probably get some decent food once a day for $8 a day, and then use 1 days worth of food to get some staples you can eat every day (2 loaves of french bread (buy one at the start, and another on the 4th day), cheese, salami etc....for sandwiches throughout the week, then spend the $8 on the other days for decent meals.

Alternatively if you can't get any more money....I could try and find 1 or 2 nice meals you can have, then just do the sandwich thing for the rest of the trip. It's such a waste at a chance to try new foods and places to eat though!!!

Perhaps early Laurrel K Hamilton as well (first bunch are great).

Might try some of Terry Pratchets books, they are fun comedy/fantasy books. Color of magic I think was the first, although I like some of the later books more).

The Dresden Files are overhyped. Take it from someone who is on the lest book in the series.

The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson is MUCH better.

I have re-read the Dresden books as every book was released, and a few extra times as well (now that he's not releasing new books very often......sigh.

It is my favorite series.

It may not be as great for everyone, but I am far and away not the only person who loves it.

Don't get me wrong, tons of other series I really love, and other authors, he is just my favorite, and has been for at least a decade.

you can be physically tormented to such a degree that you would beg for death, and it's exactly the same for psychological and emotional torment. just that psychologically healthy people have no experience of anything like this.

if I could reach into your mind and turn the knob for "positive emotion" all the way down to basically zero, and the knob for "negative emotion" up to 500+%, you'd be horrified. you'd do anything to get out of this emotional state, but when this is happening to you, there isn't a damn thing you can do about it. it's intense suffering with no tangible remedy.

Even when it stops you keep having difficulty afterwards if you have lived through a period where all you have wished for is death with no way of obtaining it. It's extremely hard to recover from that. Even if you do, anytime bad stuff happens it's easy to fall back into a "I don't care about anything" state and it's almost impossible to live a life where nothing bad ever happens.

Of course, if you do take on responsibilities with such a history, then you made a choice and need to be responsible for it. Anyone who has lived through that and continues to be a productive member of society should be applauded, but then again you probably would never know they did.

Just because life sucks, and people can be monsters, does not mean you need to be one as well. I think most people who live through such experiences end up dead early, or end up hating everyone/everything and self destructing (in jail etc). The few who don't probably dedicate their lives to preventing others from having to live through such things.

Back in the day it was easy.

Today...well....you could make it work, epecially if you eat fast food etc.

You can usually find places with all you can eat pizza buffets for $6 at lunch (there is one chain that offers that, and it's all over...so you could plan on going there...finding locations ahead of time. Think it's Pappa johns.

That would be $30 for the whole week, but only one meal a day (but you could eat a ton).

Mc D's etc could get you pretty far with $5 a day as well if your careful.

20 years ago they had deals at places like Weinersnitzle where you could get 3 corn dogs for a dollar. You could get by with just eating that, or other such foods and pretty much spend 1-2$ a day if you wanted.

You can still often get a full loaf of french bread from many supermarkets though for $1-$2, and then get a cheap block of cheese for $1 or so, Hard salami (doesn't need to be refrigerated) etc, and make sandwiches. That could last at least a few days for $5...so you could easily do 25$ for a whole week.

Nuclear weapon

It only equals 1 picogram worth of TNT.

Super fast typing and reading.

But you always post waaaaay to long and nobody reads it because it's a freaking paragraph and they don't wanna spend an hour reading it.

In fact, you often make great points on message boards, but, due to typing so fast, you post a stream of conciousness response and everyone just ignores it. This frustrates you and you try and post shorter responses but your super typing speed defeats you every time and you end up with at least 3 paragraph responses.

Eventually you just give up and stop typing all together so your power goes to waste. Meanwhile you can read super fast but you forget everything you read a few minutes later.

You can shoot lazers out of your eyes (and your a cat!!).

Is this response the definition of irony?

Hehe, I thought it was funny:) *ps..this response is short!!*

^Except, if you're crazy it's not selfish regardless of kids or other responsibilities. You're fucking crazy. It's no different than hallucinating that you're Jesus or something past a point. It depends on the motivation. I'm not saying it can't be sometimes, just that it's not that simple.

If you mean crazy in that you are not in control of your actions, or you hear voices etc, then I agree. At that point you are not really responsible for your actions as your not really in control of them.

Killing yourself when there are others you can still help, misery you can help prevent, and you still have the ability to make a positive contribution is sad. I would not say it's cowardly, but it is the easy way out, and it's selfish to some extant.

If you are sick, need others to care for you and are in pain or unable to enjoy life or contribute much, then I don't think it's wrong at all, and I think it should be something that is made as easy as possible for people in such situations.

If you kill yourself when you have others who depend on you (especially kids), then you are both a coward and selfish and there is no excuse. You took the responsibility to have children apon yourself, and you should live with the consequences and ensure your kids have the best chance to grow up happy.

Just living for others can get old eventually and always focusing on helping other people can wear you down over time. I'm not saying everyone needs to be a freaking saint, but at least give helping others a chance before offing yourself, you may find it helps you find other reasons to live of your own as well. Quite often when you can find no joy in life yourself, you will find you are capable of sharing in the joy of others still.

I'm pro assisted suicide though, especially for those in constant pain and who are terminally ill. I also think everyone should have some form of written consent for assisted suicide well before they hit an age where they could be put into an assisted living facility. Those places can be horrific and I would never want to end up in one, unable to care for myself, with nothing but rushed nurses that come see me (and there are tons of people living in such situations right now). You don't need to believe in God, Heaven or Hell, cause you can find Hell right here on earth if you look for it.

the Dead Zone

Oh wait, I've read this.

Guess I have read a Stephen King book.

The dead zone was made into a movie and then a TV series as well.

I believe I saw both, but remember almost nothing about any of them (book, movie, or shows).

Old age blows.

The Bible is all you need.

There are many copies of the bible, so you don't need to feel so bad if your freezing and need to use it to start a fire.

Yeah I said the same thing about children but it doesn't hold up in court.

Burn the court down!!!! Burn it to the GROUND!!!
