Baseball isn't the kind of sport where a team can depend on one or two superstar players to carry the whole team. The Angels are ranked 17th in MLB in both team ERA and OPS, Ohtani can only pitch once every 5 games and he and Trout are only two spots in a 9-man batting lineup.

On topic, Ohtani's pitching numbers are better than his hitting this season, but he hasn't pitched enough innings to be a qualifier in things like the ERA leaderboard.

I did it once at a call center. After three weeks of working there, I got an ear infection and missed about a week, but I got a doctor's note for it. I went in and gave them the note, and waited for them to make their decision. It was when they came back and told me I still had a job that I realized I had been hoping they would say no, so when they walked away I clocked out and left without saying anything.

What's weird tho is that it leads me to deconstruct things Im genuine about and see ways they could be seen as manipulative. But then, changing my actions that don't hurt anyone just cause they could be perceived as manipulative would actually be me not being my genuine self. So, I just live with the understanding of how manipulative I can be in a genuine way, if that makes sense
