Anybody who watches baseball knows that there's a lot of foul balls hit into the stands every game. I'd get more joy out of seeing the joy on a random kids face than from keeping it for myself. A home run ball is a keeper, if it's hit by my team

I like exactly one Slayer album, Reign In Blood, and it's an absolute classic that was a big influence on the early death metal scene. I crank that shit up, from Angel of Death straight through to Raining Blood. They have some other scattered songs that aren't bad either.

Pantera has like 2 songs that I like, and I rarely get the urge to listen to them. Dimebag is overrated and most of his riffs are boring, and Phil Anselmo is annoying as fuck.

This is funny because last week was the first time i casted fireball and I DID hit half my team by accident, I wanted to hit 3 enemies, worded it to my DM that I wanted to hit just 2 because my AoE would not be able to hit 3, he says "yes you can" and I say "okay then"
he asks 3 of my party members to make the saving throw, I explain that when I casted hunger of hadar earlier I worded it so that the edge would be right besides them so it you can infer that I'm right now also trying to also not hit them and this is why I was targetting two of them on my first claim, but I let him decide that due to thsi being a very pwoerful spell and this being my first time casting it, accidents can happen.

It's either they can't control their temper or deal with stress well and lash out or they genuinely think it's the best way to discipline kids and punish them for poor behavior.

A combination of the two sounds about right, at least from my experiences. Kids can do some really dumb shit sometimes, they're still in the process of learning what things are really stupid and why, and someone who isn't in good control of their emotions will find it really easy to lose it on them, and then feel the need to come up with a justification for it after. It's never justified, but someone who isn't a psychopath needs a way to deal with the cognitive dissonance that their actions produce.

The people who hit their kids just to hurt them even when they've done nothing wrong are truly the vilest scum of the earth and deserve to have crows eat their eyeballs.

I always thought Beakman was better than Bill Nye. Not that I have any issues with The Science Guy.

Generally speaking, the paradigm of Satanism that I work within is one of self-empowerment, to the point that self-deification is the ultimate goal, so I generally avoid terminology that implies subservience. Grovelling before demon lords generally does not earn their respect, it is far better to take the approach of walking beside them and learning from them rather than bowing before them. No gods, no masters, respected allies on the path instead.

Who is Satan to you? Can you describe this entity? I'm sensing here you're not referring to the biblical fallen angel and master of hell.

The full identity of Satan is actually kind of a nebulous thing. You could put two Satanists in a room and they would give you three different opinions on the topic. Satan is a title that means "the adversary" or "the accuser," and he actually isn't mentioned in the Bible very much. I've seen multiple different possibilities for the identity (or identities) of the entity that answer to this title.

Some people say he is Lucifer, who is generally said to be the greatest of the archangels cast out for his rebellion, but others will say they are separate. Interestingly, there was a minor Roman deity that went by this name, the god of the Morning Star (the planet Venus when it rises in the sky just before dawn.) There are multiple deities across multiple cultures associated with the Morning Star, and all of them have themes of a fall from grace or death after trying to reach too high, and then returning stronger than before. Lucifer only became associated with Satan during the times of the early Catholic church rising to prominence, when the books of the Bible were translated into Latin. It comes from a passage of the Old Testament, which was possibly a political statement about a king going too far in his pursuit of power, setting himself up for a fall and comparing him to the Morning Star. The Hebrew phrase was Helel Ben Sahar, which was translated into the Latin Lucifer. It's interesting to note that most Medieval grimoires that include Lucifer clearly indicate him to be separate from Satan, often as second-in-command of Hell, structuring the rest of the Infernal denizens like a Medieval court.

A more Hebrew view of Satan, particularly within Kabbalah, identifies him with Samael, the rebellious angel of death who was sent to bring the plagues to Egypt during the Exodus. Samael is an interesting being, both on his own and in his marriages. He is said to have four wives, Lilith, Naamah, Eisheth Zenunim, and Agrat bat Mahlat, who are collectively known as the "Four Angels of Sacred Prostitution," or more modernly as the four Succubus queens. Of them, by far the most has been written about his relationship with Lilith, which has quite a large number of parallels to the relationship between the ancient Hindu gods Shiva and Kali. There is even a 16th century Kabbalistic writing that lists a number of secret names of Lilith, with Kali being one of them. There is far too much written about Samael to go into much detail here.

Other modern pagan Satanists attempt to identify him with various gods from various pantheons. It's well known that most of the demons of the Abrahamic religions are actually the gods and spirits of other cultures. When those peoples were forcibly converted, their gods were made into monsters both to try to scare people off from returning to worship them, and to create a good excuse to persecute those who did anyway. People who take this viewpoint tend to identify Satan with either underworld gods or trickster gods. The Temple of Set views him as the Egyptian god of the same name, others view him as Loki or the Mesopotamian god Enki, just for a few examples. Some view him as being a god but separate from these other gods, while others still view him as a primordial god who takes a variety of different faces as suits his purposes.

I personally don't have a strong opinion on the matter, as I mainly work with other demon lords and queens, but my small amount of experience with Satan would place him into the trickster god territory. Not a bad guy, just a wicked sense of humour that might be easy to misinterpret as malicious when he's really trying to use a joke as a teaching tool.
