Kind of neat in some areas but simultaneously plenty of rudimentary or awkward design choices holding it back. I had already bought the sequel years ago as well, so I'm curious if they fix that stuff.

I've played quite a bit more of Cat Quest, but I honestly couldn't tell you how far along I am because there is absolutely no sense of progression. Movement and combat seem quite fluid, and I like the art style and isometric viewing angle, but the game has really just been go to this arrow, then go to these other arrows, possibly taking you to caves or ruins with minimal design and variation. I think this could have been a very neat game if they had more ambition and also took a non-linear approach. I still plan on finishing it because I am enjoying it enough, but it just seems there's plenty of wasted potential.

Poi (XB1)

A retro-styled 3D platformer with Super Mario 64 as its clear inspiration. It's mechanically solid, and some of the later and optional levels are when the game is at its best. It stumbles with combat being pretty rough and janky, and the boss fights are lame, but I'm glad that I finally took the time to go through it.

I guess that I am in the club. Good thing liking it wasn't a prerequisite!

Many toy cars also have doors, though not necessarily functioning.

I originally thought wheels, but there are just so many buildings that can have an obscene amount of doors, and as mentioned, several things (mainly thinking of various vehicles) with wheels also have doors

I know that I say this every year, but seeing very much non-B8 games in Prince of Persia: TSoT and Rocket League win it all will never fail to bring a smile to my face. It helps that I love both games, especially the latter.

I've been making a concerted effort to go through games I bought 4-6 years ago, and this was a very good color-based puzzle/platformer. In some ways, it makes me think of it as Limbo but good.

James Riley was player of the week, not Clark who plays for the Packers. Other than shared position, I have no idea how I mixed that up.

I got this for charity first and foremost.
