the very first use will draw your chosen unit guaranteed though

after that i probably wouldn't touch it until you have all your other units heavily heavily upgraded

Also just had a funny one where we're playing normally. Opponent seems to be setting something up but I'm not sure. Weirdworld reveals on 3. On 4 he plays my Sword Master and... discards Agatha. Emotes and retreats.

most agatha decks usually want to discard her (and then have hela play her again) but he probably didn't draw hela yet and weirdworld means he wasn't going to

i've come up with a strategy to cheese the final fights of the trial grounds

your goal is to clear the majority of the stage and pick up as many of the burn (burn 1-3% hp from your opponents for the first few seconds of combat) and stun (stun opponents for the first few seconds of combat) augments as possible

then when you're approaching the end of the stage you can send into combat a single 1 lvl fighter by themselves (with your strongest fighter tethered to them to give them a bit of base hp)

your unit will die instantly when the stun expires but that will burn a good 8-12% off their hp. repeat until they're softened up enough to kill with your remaining strong units without them dying.

this won't work on every fight though, especially ones with healers or instant dmg done to you, but it definitely helps

I got Attuma as my free Series 3 for the month (was previously series 3 complete so it was attuma or orka) and i'm thinking he might not actually be terrible in a shuri deck now that aero is probably not worth playing. you're already playing 2 cards (zero and armor) that synergize with attuma and it's not that bad of a card to hit when you whiff on red skull or she-hulk

oh true i completely forgot that rule. so yeah if you never invite anyone over to your house you will literally never lose to a vampire with some fairly annoying lifestyle restrictions while you determine how to kill it

but that's pretty much a wrap, i think it's gotta be vampire

with 24 hours to prep you can definitely beat a vampire. i think they have the most straightforward weaknesses of any on that list

crosses, garlic, fires, even holy water to an extent are very feasible to obtain or make yourself, and you're permanently safe during daylight hours so you can buy a lot of time to eventually plan to kill it.

well if snowguard stays the same as the datamined version, that'll be the card for everyone who wants to do location antics

or maybe the raft is a better example. are you just straight up negating the effect? or the first person to "not fill this" draws a 6 cost card that costs 0?

the clarity i think starts to get really sus especially as they add more and more unique locations into the game

What about a card that inverts location effects? That could be interesting

i don't think they would do this because it would limit design space for locations that don't have inversions that make sense

like quantum tunnel for example, what's the inverse of that?

also i will be greatly looking forward to howard the duck and will probably play him in most control / combo style decks.

knowing a turn in advance if i'll draw galactus by turn 5/6 is absolutely huge for snapping / retreating

Lockjaw, and/or Beast.

Lockjaw helps you churn through the deck to make sure you get Cerebro, and Beast is great for picking up cards that are added by effects or buffed and you need to remove from the board.

Ive been burned far too many times by mystique coming out of lockjaw to put those two in the same deck again

Id suggest blue marvel as its generally a cerebro 2 staple

when you drew decently and played skillfully, shuri decks were already relatively aero proof, or at least compared to other decks

the goal against decks that run aero was often to stack 4 cards in one lane with either cosmo or armor to protect them and drop taskmaster in another on turn 6 to win

well its not coming until may, and by that time Ill probably be most of the way toward another 6000 tokens

debating on continuing my plan and saving my 5400 tokens for thanos or swapping over to kang for now

unironically the aero nerf is the biggest nerf to shuri decks (alongside the taskmaster nerf)

i dont think the red skull or she hulk nerfs do too much

Something kinda like this happened to me earlier. They beat me with a Knull + She-Hulk turn 6 drop after I used Wave T5. They weren't running any sort of destroy deck and their only Knull power came from a T1 Sokovia which hit my She-Hulk and some 1 cost card for them. So they were running Knull purely as a tech choice for opposing destroy decks I guess. But they also knew to withhold energy T5 too

It was probably a real person running a janky deck but it struck me as a hand reading bot with the way stuff happened that game.

knull doesnt get buffed by sokovia or any form of discards. It was probably a yondu buffing it?

i once was a summer camp counselor and had to drive a big van full of kids and other counselors after previously having never driven anything larger than a small car. and let me tell you, there's nothing like that experience to train you to use the side mirrors because you aren't seeing shit out the back with a bunch of kids pumped up on sugar.

but ultimately i still think it's far less than many of these answers. i probably absentmindedly / autopilot check them every fifteen to twenty seconds or so but i would only say i actively think about using them when changing lanes.
