I've said it for several election cycles, but at this point the Republicans need to lose ALL power for a period of no less than 10 years. It's to the point where they'll legitimately destroy the republic if given full control.

I don't work in the food industry, I just have basic respect for the workers and their time.

I did work in it for 4 years prior to college, I just have basic respect for the customers that want fresh, hot food.

This isnt true at all if you are doing hand cut fries and half cooking them.

As long as they werent completely cooked the first time it helps remove the starch and makes them even crispier with a fluffy inside.

The best way to do it is actually with two or three dips with a 5 min interval in between.

The typical fast food place doesn't do that. They just do one soak to completely cook the fries, based on a timer, and then dump the fries in a warming display. Some places will then take the fries out of the warming display, put them back in the basket, and re-fry them for another minute. The result is pure trash.

You should follow that advice. Just say "I'm too selfish to give customers hot fries" and leave it at that.

Yes wasteful, because there are likely already a batch of fries ready to go and now they're doing a new batch prematurely. So now those original are even older, and it throws off the timing of everyone behind the counter and in the kitchen.

Learn to portion-control? The employees shouldn't be dumping a full basket of fries for the 'no salt' order if they don't need more than a handful at the moment. If they do need more fries, then it's back to drowning the rest in salt after.

To be honest, people wouldn't be using the 'no salt' approach if portion-control was implemented in the first place. People don't want 10 minute old fries that have been scattered to the corners of the warming display.

Yeah, or worse still the places that dip old fries back into the oil to make them 'hot'. That behavior is really obvious to the customer, and makes the fries total trash.

Their pricing can be silly though. The Wendy's near me charges $5-$5.80 to go from a sandwich to a combo meal. Yet they also sell the $5 Biggie Bags. So, naturally, I now just order a Biggie Bag and get the sandwich a la cart. It's cheaper than purchasing the combo and I get an extra sandwich and some chicken nuggets.

There are some perks that are better suited for solo queue play. Stuff like 'Off the Record' can help you out by allowing you to take an extra hit from the killer without getting downed; helpful if teammates love to pre-drop Pallets. 'Wire Tap' is always fun, since it basically broadcasts the location of a generator to allies while displaying wall hacks of the killer's location.

If possible, try to complete generators in the middle of a map, then move to generators opposite those completed by teammates. This avoids the dreaded Three Gen situation, where the last generator needed is clusted together to allow the killer to watch all 3 simultaneously.

If you're put into a dependent role, yeah. Some of the more passive things, like the bloodstains and messages in the Dark Souls games, can be fun. The first time you see an apparition of another player traversing through a secret wall is always a kick too.

Just from my own job hunting experience, way too many employers are requiring Bachelor's degrees and years of prior experience for jobs that would otherwise require minor training and at the most, an associate's degree.

Yeah, it's sort of a joke, in the same way reading between the lines on ads is usually some variant of "the perfect candidate will have 10+ years of experience doing this exact job and be willing to accept half of what they were paid at their last job".

It's one of the areas where it is helpful if you're good at conversations with people, as you can bypass a lot of that useless crap if you can simply talk to the person doing the actual hiring. Give a good first impression, even if it's just conversational fluff in hindsight, and you'll likely get the job.
