I think the past designs mostly ended up cooler than the future ones. Koraidon > the other guy for sure. Past Donphan is way better than the robo version too.

aww, I like Oikologne a lot. Maybe not as much as Lechonk, but thats a high bar to cross.

Its weird how early and easy to find Flamigo is. That opening area is filled with pathetic little baby Pokmon, then youve got this 500 base stat monster. It absolutely destroys the bug gym.

oh yeah, as a kid I thought Hitmomchan was totally broken because it could learn all the punches, totally not considering that its special stat made those punches useless. Im on team Hitmonchan

You level up so fast in recent games, you barely get any time with the first form before it evolves. The journey is mostly with the middle and final stages, lol.

but the base forms get revealed months ahead of time, so by the time I see the final form Ive already spent a bunch of time attached to the little guys

like I picked Sobble last time because I was immediately very into Sobble upon reveal, but my favorite last form was probably Rillaboom. But Intelleon was good enough to not drag Sobble down.

Ive got every cartridge game Nintendo ever released, and I think full collections for Genesis, C64, and some other stuff too + a bunch of later stuff

so yes, more than 5

being able to just bounce around between totally random SNES games Id never buy is fun

and also very easy to do at this point up through at least the Wii and DS

and extra super easy for the cartridge based systems, which have such small game files that you can just get a big old zip of all of them at once and not even worry about downloading individual games

looks like the DLC paradoxes that were known to be Suicide and Virizion, are each probably the whole trio combined into one Pokmon. Like Suicune may be the base of the design, but it will have features from Entei and Raikou.

Lechonk is still great though. They came out of the gate strong with the starters and Lechonk, then stuff got more questionable.
