ok so I got Dagger, and her thing is when she moves somewhere she gets +2 power for each character your opponent has there. She costs 2 and starts with 1 power.

the first location was the one that gives +2 power when a character moves there

through a combination of Doctor Strange, Cloak, and Heimdall, she ended the game with 21 power. Thats so many power!

I got Quinjet today which seems maybe interesting in Collector decks ? (all cards that didnt start in your deck cost one less)

also I feel like these guys cant tell the difference between someone who is mad and someone who is just pointing out how dumb an idea is. I assume this is because people are constantly calling them dumb, and they need to pretend that its not because they are actually dumb.

I hate to hand it to Matty, but I think theres probably some truth to what hes saying. I definitely feel like Elon and a lot of his supporters just fundamentally dont get the point of the checkmark, and think its more of a cool status symbol than it is.

No one thinks its cool. people regularly just dunk on people for having the checkmark already, and that will only get worse when the checkmark is also a signifier that the person is dumb enough to spend $8 a month on a checkmark.

I can see it being frustrating again when Im in the third card pool. Theres a lot of cards in it, and you get them pretty slowly, so it might be annoying to have no control over what I get.

So, has anyone run into the location Ego or the TVA yet because I just ran into them in the same game. Ego was the first location and the TVA was the second location and so we didn't get to play our hands and the game ended on turn 4.

I got Ego once, TVA a few times

Ego made some really non-optimal plays for me. It was frustrating.

Isn't the point to monetize the platform, that many who have blue checks marks make money on the platform in the forms of marketing and such, and that it stops the process of trying to get authorized if not a legitimate account due to the monetary cost behind it now

they already dont verify illegitimate accounts, the money doesnt help with that. Im pretty sure the verification process involves actually verifying the person is who they say they are. Theyre not giving check marks to imposters.

also, as for check mark people making money off the site, I think thats a two way street. Celebrities may use the site to market their stuff, but theyre also getting people to visit Twitter and see ads.

The users of Twitter create all of its content. Twitter needs its users more than its users need Twitter. It seems like a bad idea to ruffle the celebrity users feathers like this.

You nailed it that its a completely unnecessary service for most people, so the people who want it are going to pay for it.

You just have to charge a small enough amount where its not worth the hassle of being unverified. 8$ a month is too high Imo

Verification should be free because it benefits the other users of the site more than the actual verified person.

if some guy pretending to be Lebron James is scamming people, thats a problem for the people getting scammed, not for Lebron.

The amount of money Twitter realistically can make from this scheme is pretty small relative to their annual ad revenue, but it could do actual damage to the user experience. It seems short-sighted to me.

I think if he made it $10 a year most people would have begrudgingly accepted it and it would have been an instsnt few million dollars a year

Hot early collection pro tip: its more credit efficient to level common to uncommon than any other leveling, so try making a deck out of only unupgraded cards

then every match you play (if it makes it to turn six) will get you a new collection level!

and hey, even if the deck seems shitty you might still win. I got some wins with total garbage decks. just need to make sure youve got a playable range of energy costs.

but 90% of my interaction is just doing the Spider-Man pointing meme when the other guy plays the same card I play

i had one match where we did it like three turns in a row and both kept doing the emote each time. It was fun.

given the job sort of requires a knowledge of US law and the constitution, I think its pretty likely the most qualified person is from the US

but I do think its suspicious that Americans keep winning the World Series

I'm totally addicted to it. I do think it'll lose some steam eventually when I unlock all the cards but who knows when that happens. I've only got 170 collector level and apparently it doesn't happen till 3000. And then of course they probably are adding cards as I go.

I kinda wish there was a way to see variants from the card. Like I kinda don't want to waste levels on a card where I'll just use a variant but I guess I'll need to start leveling cards that I don't use to gain levels eventually.

I found a website that has card descriptions and pictures of most variants. Its probably not totally complete, and seems to have some misplaced images, but it might help.
