In Australia if you dont provide your tax file number (something you will only have if youre a legal resident or on a visa) to an employer not only do you still get taxed, but youre automatically in the highest bracket. Its kinda hard to avoid paying tax when its automatically taken from your pay before it even reaches your bank account.

Is this something other countries just cant figure out?

that's assuming that employer and employee go through all the legal steps according to labor rights.

One big problem of illegal immigration in the EU is the lack of documents.

They have no papers, no ID, nothing, so no one knows who they are or what they did before, not even checking fingerprints or anything at all. Doesn't help that the countries don't want to document wandering migrants either, as long as they can assume that they leave the country to travel into another country (looking at eastern europe).

Caused quite some ruckus 8* years ago in Germany / Greece.

Quality over Quantity, and ffs, never drink to get drunk.

Better to buy a bottle for 50 and drink a glass enjoying it, instead of buying some cheap stuff and empty it, because you just want the feeling of alcohol in you, and not the taste.

In the end it's cheaper and much much MUCH healthier.

I mean, at this point you could say that Breath of the wild and Tears of the Kingdom are pretty much that.

And Mass Effect is like "We have to prepare for our fight against the unstoppable Reaper!" for the whole trilogy.

Not only was it clearly designed for mutant aliens, it was the king of controller drifting.

If you had an N64 that you played frequently and the joystick never got loose/drifted, you're lucky as shit. Every single first party controller I owned either experienced drift or the joystick got very loose, or both.

Yes, the N64 controller was pretty loose, but never to the point that I noticed some drift at all.

Regill hates it.

Regill hates the Trickster path so much.

Regill is probably the only companion were I was always motivated to see all his reactions.

Doesn't matter if it's some nod of respect, or pure disgust bordering to despair on his face seemingly made of stone.

Being mean to Amber was impossible for me, being mean to Regill is something that is entertaining.

All in all, I enjoyed the game a lot. Act 2 and Act 3 were the highlights for me. Act 4 was a bit of a downturn, the city only setting kinda got old after a while, but it picked up in Act 5. Threshold was kind of a bullshit final dungeon tbh, they just threw high AC enemies at you one after the other, no real strategy other than "power through it." But eh, games usually sputter toward the endgame content anyway, so it isn't alone in that regard.

I remember how intimidated I was at the beginning of this game lol. Proud I stuck with it.

Now to decide the next character. I know you all say Lich, but I'm really curious about Trickster. After being an orderly angel, I want to try dancing with a little chaos, you know? Don't know what race I'll be yet. Will try and go for the secret ending this time.

The reason why Lich is so popular is because it's such a nice but rare option.

But that doesn't mean that you should not go for trickster or Azata or whatever you want.

A bit firewood for updraft here, one or two bomb shield for airtime there, a failed try to learn that the mirror shield is uncool and useless on top of that, and he died.

The final phase I cheesed with eyeball arrows, because every hit meant instant death.

I do that way too often.

I don't have time for game X one day, or switch to another game for some reason (new release, playing online with friends, not enough time for a long X session, playing more casual Y instead, taking a break because I played it for dozens of hours last week), and suddenly I stop it playing alltogether, because I simply went to other games instead.

Even with that knowledge I can only look at that image and see (blueish) white and gold.
No matter how many times I see this picture, I know this dress is blue, but I still have to say that it looks white in that light.

To me, it doesn't look like that the lightning brightens everything up, it looks like as if the dress is getting shown too dark because it's in the "shadow" of the overly bright backlightning.

It's not the discussion about blue & black vs. white & gold that triggers me, it's the photo itself.
