Oh god, this topic blew up more than I expected, and definitly not in a good way.

I also think that a logic problem with a scenario defying logic and reason isn't the great philosophical gotcha some think it is, but it's crazy how aggressive some people here are discussing it just because they can't deal with a scenario that doesn't follow common logic.

That's exactly the point of this thing.

Honestly, I can't understand the sudden hype either. It's gonna be a great game (only played early acces a bit so far), but that's it. Especially the level cap "dissappoints" me a bit.

It doesn't do anything that blows my mind that wasn't already done 20 years ago with Neverwinter Nights (except a much more intense start at level 1).

It shows that AAA graphics and AAA marketing are fucking important, even if everyone claims that they don't care about that.

But hey, if people get addicted to Baldurs Gate 3, and get hooked to such games more, maybe we will see more games like Pillars of Eternity or Wrath of the Righteous too.

How do your night food binges happen, and what are you eating?

Are you just getting in a mood of eating something, and then just eat stuff thats there?

In that case, the obvious solution would be to have less (unhealthy) food at home that can be eaten spontaniously, and need some time to prepare, or replace them with some fruits.

If you have to eat late at night, let it be an apple or a banana.

Taking A and B will always give you 1000$ more, no matter the prediction, but with choosing B, the prediction is supposed to change, giving you the million.

Out of all gametheory paradoxa(?), I think I dislike this most.

It's silly.

Your action is predetermined, and changes the payout table before the action is even done.

At the same time, you are asked to act as if the predetermined choice of yours can be changed upon your choice.

The theory says that it's possible to trick him, because the money is already in B, but the scenario says that he can predict the future accuratly.

This is not about bluffing, gambling or putting RNG in it anymore. As soon as you think B is the better option, it's B, as soon as you think about the risk if he guesses wrong, it's A+B.

I've only played a bit of FF14, but lalafells just look kind of ridiculous. They look like children, so it's hard to take them seriously when there's a whole storyline about them being involved in complex political backstabbing.
