People have to be somewhat restrained if other people have to do some surgery on them, doesn't matter if it's the foreskin, appendix or any other issue, doesn't matter if the reason is stupid or medically justified.

It shouldn't have to explained the absurdity of thinking just because you travel to a new country at a young age it doesn't magically sever all ties you have to the country you were born if nefarious parties are involved.

That's just some line you can move around however you want. When are the ties existing, and when are they not there for sure? Just because of the place of birth?

I'm not from the US, and here it's only about the citizenship (not where you were born), so I think this is somewhat stupid.

But changing it also sounds stupid, because these days it would only serv the "Musk for president!" crowd.

So, if there is a change it should be because the change itself is desired, and not for a specific person --> let it only affect people born after the change was made, and don't make uneligible people suddenly eligible.

No idea how it is in Tokyo, but we actually have some problems with "illegal haircutting".

There are cases of "self-employeed" hairdresser who are "renting" the chair in a saloon, and are doing their "freelancer" stuff there.

The result? Well, self-employeed people are not part of any regulations aimed at employees, so they can shit on any kinds of maximum working hours, social benefits, and so on.

The result is that the "hairdresser industry" here is probably one of the most shady and abusive industries you can find in our streets in open daylight. (Right next to delivery jobs).

I honestly prefer characters with some smaller edges over the tropey ones.

Alisa is much smarter than her trope should allow, and she had some normal conflict with her mother. It only became shit with the conflict of her father and Sharon with CS III.

All of them felt like real characters in a real world, because it felt like they were just average guys in their environment.

Warhero and general marries some sweet music teacher and the result is Eliot, an average boy who likes music in a military academy. They felt more refreshing than most other characters in gaming, they just had the problem of not enough screentime or arcs because the cast was so big.

Gaius is a great example: I think he was pretty interesting too if you ask me, and his whole culture clash could have lead to much more than this one dialog in CS I where he goes like "Why are nobles so special?" but for some reason he seems to have taken an oath to say the word "wind" in every single sentence after CS II, because that's the only thing he says later on.
He even got his power up development after CS II, but it just doesn't matter at all.

Meanwhile, new class VII felt like filling the trope gaps.

"Wait, we don't have a 'punch first, ask questions later' blockhead and genki girl" <wush, insert Juna> "Now we have" (To be fair, Juna is the better part of new class VII).

"Wtf, how could we create a whole class of high school students, but no delinquent one (inb4 you cant be more delinquent than a fucking terrorist leader)? Lets just add Ash, and let him go tropy with no breaks at all".

And then we have the whole stuff of the new class VII kicking everyones ass after 2 months of high school, with the old class VII, heroes of the civil war, sitting on the sidelines as their equals.

Hell, at the start of CS IV I was expecting the old class VII to kick the newbees asses, and not turn everyone of them into a depressive mob who needs a kick from Juna. The old ones are the veterans who went through multiple crisises.

Zero risk, zero effort, and if it doesn't work you can try something else anyways.

Rean is Rean, but honestly I vastly prefer new class 7 (except Kurt). They got far more character development than anyone in old class 7. the smaller class was vastly to their benefit over the giant OG class

My problem with the new class is that they are more typical trope heavy than the old class VII, and that especially Ash and Musse are more or less powerleveling the cast with their background.

Ash is the special special mary sue who somehow gets involved with the plot more than the average guy from the street should, and Musse is the most noble of the nobles, the smartest of the smartest, and a genius beyond the geniuses, playing 4D chess with everyone including the blood and iron chancellor as soon as she left kindergarden.
