The option at the inn wasn't actually "switch to a different character's story", it was "hear a tale", meaning what's happening is that the character that joined your character can tell you their tale, meaning you the player can go back and play their beginning story. And from that, it sounds like only one character choice is actually required for the entire game, but then you have the option of also playing through the other seven if you want, possibly with a reward system in place of some kind. So the character you first pick is the "main character", the other seven become your party members, and you can optionally play their beginning stories.

That's how I see it.

The thing is it says you can play everyone's tales on a single playthrough, which to me would mean during that time they are the main character. Furthermore in the video it's shows two character's chapter 2 story, which to be fair is early on but I don't really think it's going to be the beginning exctly.

One of the trailers show that you can go to an inn, and switch to different characters story. Also IIRC in the first demo you could go find the other character available, and recruit them.

This trailer gives the best information I can find:

It's wildly assumed that at the end of the game, the characters join up, and defeat some final boss. I don't think it's been confirmed, and some people think different characters may have different final bosses/final dungeons.

I guess the question I have is if it has different bosses, and dungeons how does the game handle the other characters?

You didn't ask me to explain any problems. You asked what the difference between two things was, and I answered that. In future if you want the answer to a question, ask that one instead of a vaguely related question.

If your argument simply comes down to "it's eugenics", then you still need to explain both why it counts as that

Preventing people, who you don't want to reproduce, from reproducing is textbook eugenics.

and why that itself is a bad thing.

I don't need to explain that anymore than you need to give me a million dollars. I never claimed the idea is bad only that it's eugenics.
