It's in a similar vein to Alien(s) where the first is pure horror and the sequel is a horror / action mix.

They hadn't quite found their footing with the first one; little details like Arney getting out of a car and skipping up onto the curb instead of walking like a robot. On the other hand, Arney was way creepier in the original than the sequel, partly due to him losing his eyebrows about a third of the way through.

It was pretty bad. Not the worst movie I saw that year (that dishonor goes to Suicide Squad), but still pretty bad. Most of the jokes fell flat - the only one I remember laughing at was Kristen Wiig getting under Andy Garcia's skin by calling him the Mayor from Jaws. The group chemistry never really gelled, though McCarthy and Wiig's had some unrealized potential. And as much as I do sincerely hate to be that guy, there was actually a surprising undercurrent of misandry in the movie: with the possible exception of the Chinese delivery guy, every male character in the movie was either an asshole, a wimp, a creep, or a moron.

If a woman walked into a room with the exact figure of Jessica Rabbit, would her cartoon version cease to be, or be suddenly accepted as photorealism?

Even beyond my personal taste on the issue, my problem with this emerging trend is that I do feel it's setting unfair body standards on women, who are increasingly expected to maintain the best features of two very different body types.

Apart from those LR lvl 50 perks, the only time I know of that karma actually matters is with Cass, who will scold you and then leave you for good if you fall below the dead middle of Neutral, which as previously mentioned is very hard to do.

The Elves sets sound cool. You should search for some castle sets on Amazon as they will have a lot of discontinued stuff available that you won't find in most stores.

They've got some nice mystical pieces that can really make a castle set pop. Ten-years-ago me would've been too embarrassed to buy them since they're clearly a girl-geared subgenre, but current me gave far less fucks, heh. I almost bought the big evil witch's castle set 40% off about a year ago, but that was also the same day Wally World finally had a Switch in stock and I had to prioritize.

And thanks for that link, looks awesome. Even though legos are probably the most sound toy / hobby investment in the world since they'll never decrease in value, I still don't have the money right now to start sinking back into said hobby. Hopefully someday.

RotJ is the only one in the series I can't bring myself to rewatch. The Ewoks were far worse than even Jar Jar Binks. It had some good moments but there was too much crap that simply ruined the movie for me. If given the choice to watch TLJ or RotJ again, I'd choose TLJ every time (only watched TLJ once, on opening day).

Just skip the middle third of RotJ every time - works for me. Fast-forward through the Endor cuts of the final battle if you have to; while I don't mind the Ewoks in and of themselves, their sections of the battle are among those Lucas / Spielberg action sequences that annoy me more than thrill me (same reason I can't sit through Temple of Doom anymore, most of its action / suspense sequences irritate the hell out of me).

RotJ still has my favorite overall scenes in the series - Jabba barge fight, best space battle, anything to do with Luke, Vader and the Emperor (provided that my DVD copy of the movie works well into the future and I don't have to put up with that NOOOO horseshit). I enjoyed TLJ in pieces in a similar way to how I enjoy RotJ in pieces, but RotJ's best moments >>> TLJ's best moments.

That awesome castle is the exact type of thing I always wished I'd had the money / pieces to build. About ten years ago I tried to make my own interpretation of Castlevania out of my 90's-era castle pieces and Harry Potter sets, but never had enough to finish it. I tried to get back into it a couple years ago, even got all my pieces sorted and bought about a hundred bucks of those Elves sets (since they were the closest sets to castle / fantasy available), but was going through a move and they've sat in their boxes since. But they're waiting for me if I get the itch.

Apocalypse and Ordinator vastly improve combat magic in this game, adding spells and abilities that actually make it fun and tactical. The only minor downside is that Ordinator removes Impact and thus your ability to control bum-rushing bandits and shit at low levels - grab a follower or get in the habit of conjuring minions to draw their attention until you can get access to Apocalypse's adept-level spells (particularly destruction and alteration) and really start owning your enemies.

I would also highly recommend Summermyst for some much-needed improvement to Enchanting effect options.

And are you talking about visual brightness? Go into your settings (Display or Visual or something) and turn the brightness up.

But nothing I know of can fix the moronic Thieve's Guild questline. If these games weren't so reliant on voice acting, modders would have a much easier time rewriting quests if they so chose. So either plow through it or ignore it.

The regular Grenade Rifle w/ barrel mod and its uniques are the all-around best explosive weapons in NV period. Grenade Launcher technically has more power, but far inferior range, and the Rifle is much lighter and versatile than the Grenade Machinegun and the overall-underwheming Red Glare (especially after the infusion of GRA's ammo types).

The Missile Launcher / Annabelle is second best, but the weight and scarcity / cost of ammo hamper it. Plus arc fire > straight-line fire for AoE damage in most situations, and the Grenade Rifle's shots travel faster.

Of course you need all ranks of Demo Expert to get the most out of your explosives. That's one of my few true complaints with NV - rather than just porting the perk straight from Fallout 3, Obsidian should have realized that given the limited amount of perks in the game (and the general better quality of perks over FO3), they should have at least turned Demo Expert into a two-rank perk of 30% per rather than 3 ranks of 20%.
