Tax businesses for automation but keep it low enough to make it worthwhile to automate most jobs over actual people. UBI would mean people could focus on schooling for careers they actually have passion for rather than just searching for money. More teachers, more engineers, more scientists, etc etc. This will also let nonprofits and small businesses thrive, because they can afford to hire the staff they need while having a larger pool of people to hire from.

too soon for universal income. when things become more automated sure.

Actually I think now would be a great time. Tax automation that replaces manual labor, but make it low enough that the replacement is a sure win. This will remove a lot of jobs but also remove their need, while making it easier for smaller shops who need those employees. We're far enough into automation that we should push for it and make it happen on our terms :)

Don't trust them blindly, either. Same as you wouldn't blindly trust the mechanic who's working on your car. Reserve the right to challenge and ask questions if you have doubts, and don't feel obliged to accept every answer at face value and seek no other opinion.

This. Seek another opinion if you have doubts, don't just assume you're right. If a doctor gives you a bad diagnosis that you know is bad and you do nothing to change things, that's on you.

Im not against giving him another shot. He seems like a good dude. Just not a consistent movie maker.

To be fair, there are two understandable reasons most Sandler movies suck:

He has a specific audience of fans he continues to cater to and entertain, and he wants to keep making movies with his friends so they can keep making money.

He's done several critically acclaimed performances though, and definitely has deserved award recognition at times.

I'd argue they've both aged unfortunately poorly :( I haven't played the demo, but I hope it's good. SS2 was one of my favorite games of all time, especially when the devs saw people complaining about an annoying aspect(overly frequent gun jams) and actually patched in an option to determine the frequency.

Have you played BOTW before? Because if not, I'd warn it doesn't really play like a typical Zelda game, and the game itself is kinda lacking in some ways. That said, what works in it fucking excels, so if it sounds interesting just go in with those expectations and you'll be happy :)

Switch is at its best if you like indie games, because nearly every major indie game has gotten a port or rerelease on it, and that's my main use for the platform. Lots and lots of awesome games to choose from, hope you enjoy it :)

The whole movie was about him finally stopping running and learning to be at peace with the Hulk. If anything, Avengers set him back to just hiding out in the third world somewhere no one can find him again. Any movie can be boiled down to "he goes places and does stuff". It's certainly not a great movie but the plot and character arc are pretty clear.

But he never does that. He's never at peace, never controlled. No development was shown. Really the only MCU movie that has shown any real character development for Banner and Hulk was Ragnarok, which is a shame because he's a fantastic character that deserves better.

Because the movie is really just Banner wandering. There's the one plot thread of him trying to cure his condition which goes nowhere, and outside that there's no real growth, no character development, and is just him moving from setpiece to setpiece.

It's not quite that simple. Working with addicts, the most harrowing thing is when I hear them talk about how afraid they are that they're going to break down and go back to using. Addiction isn't a choice. Nor is it really as simple as "they knew the risks when they started", as plenty get addicted through legitimate means, or start using because of various issues. Few people just look and say "yeah meth sounds fun".
