But, i dont mind Reys lineage itself, as it does some fun things in matching her against Kylo, and her going dark makes for a decent hook that she needs to come back from and gives her some desperately needed character weakness. But all of this development should have happened in TLJ rather than here at the last minutes. imagine TLJ ending with Rey going full dark side, like Kylo made a wish on the Monkeys Paw and shes far worse than he could have anticipated. But besides nerfing Kuze and not giving best cinnamon roll Togusa any screen time I thought it was competently told. Visually it was pretty slick. And there were tons of Easter eggs and shout outs to the source material. actor who played Bato was great. Some goofus decided to fall into both the robot means no personality AND amnesia means no personality memes and ScarJo managed to be incredibly boring in her portrayal. She almost looked like an anime character though so it wasnt so bad. not sure if Final fight was cool. I wouldnt recommend it over any of the source material, but it was fun. >_> --- |

Bonus points if they pull a GB2 and follow the exact same formula of the first movie. ah...theyre old now...they havent done it in a while. Then they get the band back together in a flashy sequence that shows New York the Busters are Back, baby. Also Bill Murray had divorced his wife a second time and needs to reunite with her a second time. And maybe they adopt another baby or something idk the 2016 movie should have followed the continuity and been a sequel of the first two. Just say the girls were the current owners of the business and the old crew retired. Give them cameos. but no, this franchise is doomed to keep repeating the same basic story over and over again lol <_< --- |
