It couldn't decide whether it wanted to be a kid's movie or a young adult drama, and those aspects did not mesh well (hard cut from villain explaining stock manipulation to sugar-rush Spritle rocking to Freebird in front of a greenscreen and back again). The actual races and occasional fight scenes / car battles were gold, though - pure eye candy.
