Am I the only person who gets the issue on mobile with the upper ad frames loading in and bumping the page after a couple of seconds? That issue by itself makes the mobile site borderline unusable because it constantly moves the page just enough that you click on a different thread than the one you were aiming for.

That doesnt happen for me, no. Sometimes it does get a little weird and try to download some nonexistent file, but thats rare.

I dont think sephiroth/aeris would make sense at all and sephiroth/cloud would be a stretch. I think the important thing that would distinguish duos from rivals is that the two characters were on the same side. Id say any pair that was in Rivals should automatically not be eligible for Duos.

I never thought of Link and Zelda as a duo . Link and Navi or Link and Midna etc sure, but Zeldas mostly just a third wheel.

Theres a Chicago area fried chicken chain called Browns that no longer seems to have any locations actually within the city, theyre just in the suburbs. I really wish theyd open one somewhere in the actual city again.

I don't know if you'd call it a platformer because it's heavily hybridized, but my favorite game with the side perspective on the SNES is front mission: gun hazard.

I agree that Super Castlevania IV should be on here, I would also suggest kirby's dreamland 3, which is more charming than kirby superstar imo

Im not familiar with Front Mission, ill have to check it out

I thought about including KD3 but decided I liked the way the poll looked this way better than with two kirbies. Dreamland 3 isnt a bad choice at all.

SCIV is neat and I did think of it, but I didnt think it was really a classic on the level of these other games. Maybe Im underselling it.

What does "roguelike" mean?

Initially it had a pretty specific definition of being similar to a game called Rogue... so (I think) a dungeon-crawling type of RPG with randomly generated levels and permanent death. I think the gameplay was sort of like a Mystery Dungeon game.

Over the past like decade the term has broadened a lot to refer to basically any run-based game regardless of how the game actually plays. At this point if it has randomly generated levels and permanent death its going to get called a roguelike.

then theres another term, roguelite which refers to games that have randomly generated levels and permadeath but also have some kind of overarching progression system so even if you die during a run you make some progress that will help you on a subsequent run
