actually ill rephrase: none of these characters are anywhere near my first choice for Smash. I would like some of them, but I think the poll options are bad.

best: Crono is a decent idea

good but unrealistic: Alucard. no way they would actually add another distinct Castlevania character but hes cool and good

yeah ok: Dante and Sora are both significant and I like their games well enough but I wouldnt get too excited about them

maybe not: geralt and 2B. Also like them and their games but just dont feel like they deserve it... but also I would definitely get pretty hyped for 2B because I am a hypocrite

no dont: Kratos and Master Chief are the competition, also I think Kratos is too violent for Smash and wouldnt be the right Sony rep anyway... but again I would hypocritically get hyped for Chief

no really dont: Sephiroth and Squall. if theyre going to include another FF character it definitely shouldnt also be from 7 and 8 doesnt make sense as the next choice

dumb: Waluigi. I love Waluigi. Waluigi should not be in Smash Bros. He doesnt matter.

anime was a mistake: goku. Non-video game characters dont belong in these contests and they dont belong in Smash dang it

reading all of this is making me think of the season 3 finale of the Castlevania Netflix series

without getting into spoilers, its giving me the same feeling of something that was effectively dark and brutal turning it up in a way that just seems like overwhelming unpleasantness for its own sake that isnt earned or enhancing the story

I dont have a lot of knowledge of cases to inform my opinion here, but the thing that immediately comes to mind is OJ

technically no one is actually found innocent in a criminal case, the jury just rules on whether or not the persons guilt has been proven by the prosecution. The verdict isnt necessarily a clear point in favor of the person not doing the crime.

so I might generally be more inclined to believe they were actually guilty if they are found guilty in a civil case but not guilty in the criminal case. but it really depends on the specific details of the situation.

Terry or Banjo came to mind simultaneously. Someone who is relatively new to Smash (even nobodies in Melee/Brawl have had time to build some fanbase / meme value) and isn't part of a series GameFAQs even moderately cares about (so no Pokemon or Fire Emblem, etc.). Though leafing through contest history Banjo did apparently finish just ahead of Olimar, so obviously my guesses weren't the best! Alph if he counts is a great choice. Miis are probably correct though, I can't see them having much of a fanbase and they'd probably get some antivotes.

Below a certain point in the fodder zone, I think "being female" helps a character out, in terms of standing out from a mostly-male crowd like the Smash roster. You see the same thing in the huge Fire Emblem character polls with hundreds of characters, once you get down very near the bottom it's almost all dudes. So I'd expect Nana to be slightly stronger than Popo at minimum, and being ahead of those two doesn't stun me either.

I dont know if the stats were talking about account for this, but Lucas was in an SFF situation with Kirby so he may be better than that would suggest. Nana was the only remotely Nintendo character in her match so she maybe overperformed a bit by standing out.

only one SNES die 100%, but a bunch have had their disc drives fail which in the case of a GameCube may as well be death. My Wiis disc drive is busted too so I have no way to play GCN discs anymore.

the worst pain was like the second part of the insertion. It went in at first and was like ow and then it went in more and was like owewwewee and then it was mostly ok

before the tube the pain around my bladder was pretty terrible whenever I tried standing up and not so bad when I was lying down

I went to the emergency room because I had pretty bad pain around where my appendix is so I thought it was that, then it turned out to be my swollen bladder, there was like 600 ml of pee in there that wasnt coming out

I have to make an appointment with a urologist on Monday so they can try to figure out why it happened
