Lol well at the very least the VTuber tournament generally has a lower skill cap. They limit how many points you can have based on how high you've ranked at peak or currently. I think current season rank is weighted, like with Astel or other current masters, but your peak rank (if lower than your current season rank) point is generally manageable in terms of getting decent teammates. VGorilla had to have like a few fairly new players on his team because he was a Pred at peak. Otherwise it's pretty much impossible for current Preds to get a team in this tourney unless they got like unranked players somehow lmao.

Shouldn't be too bad. Teams with Plats often snag wins here and there. Usually the one pro person does all the shotcalling so it's not like they have to worry about non-on-the-fly skill usage.

Holy wrecking ball, the upcoming VTuber Apex Tournament 3 hosted by ShibuyaHAL is pretty nutty. A few hype teams teased already

Towa-sama is teaming with Kurumi Noah, who was in Astel and Reid's team in that epic tournament they won, and Ars Armal!! This is huge, cuz Towa's previous youtube personality was actually really close to Ars Armal's previous youtube personality til of course that whole male voice fiasco happened with Towa, which made it difficult for her to approach any male ever. The times have changed however, and the community is thankfully much more accepting of Towa interacting with whoever.

Astel is also teaming with... Roboco and Choco?! This is also ridiculous since... well aside from ID, I can't remember the last time a non-Fubuki or Matsuri member interacted with a Holostar member. Oh, I guess Suisei and a few other members were on the podcast that Roberu does that I can't understand. Because Astel is a current season master, his point req is higher, so he had to team with 2 people who are currently plat.

Izuru is leading the Holostars team this time around, teaming with Tenma and Rikka. Hopefully there are a lot of trash talking in between Astel and Izuru's teams

Matsuri is teaming with Kotone, I think this VTuber that I saw an MV for at one point, and Wat, who I think is in the same group as Met, and they're both in that clan BIG * STAR

Oh wow, they sure fixed a lot of stuff for AS. They fixed something that I once sent a report for, which was Louise's skill bugging the hell out of wood teams lol. Under certain situations, usually involving Areia, sometimes the extra damage from Louise, which is usually kinda small, gets stuck on the characters, making them permanently do weak damage til you active Louise again.

Good to know they're responsive to reports.

I guess there was a serious DMCA issue, and the Niji girls couldn't play for like 20-30 min because they kept playing on this like Spongebob stage. Pikamee also had connection issues and couldn't connect back in for a long time with nobody helping her.

But yeah Zentreya? apologized on Twitter for the poor execution. Seems they didn't fully consider a few things, and the collab was more of a spur of the moment thing that became a bit too big. Pretty shocking fact I found out just now in Alchemy Stars, spoilers for Mia's personal story that I dunno if it'll go anywhere

Mia is some long lost sister of Carleen. But I guess she was abandoned as a kid for whatever reason and led a completely different life, seemingly has lost her sanity along the way. In her personal story, she looks out for Carleen when the MC missed out on a chance to ask Carleen on a date. I didn't pick up on why but yeah it's because Mia is her sister. Ohh, in Carleen's bio at max affinity, it says she lost her mother and sister in some war, but I guess she survived but with various prosthetics

Oh dang, unlocked affinity 4's file for Mia, and yeah that one confirms it. She joined the knights to help out her dad and presumably got lost in action in that second Darkover Crisis thing, which is why Schwartz is really reluctant to let Carleen follow her suit.

Holy shit, I actually got past F43 of a Spire in Alchemy Stars. Honestly, I don't even remember what was it about this run in particular. I think I just got really lucky and had some jank damage avoidance because the 2 bosses couldn't walk on top of each other.

Goddamn it... it took a lvl 48 A3 Sinsa and pulling an Eicy and Faust to do it.

I'll admit, having both 2 cd tile changers that change different tiles is pretty op. If you're planning on building a mono-elem team, deciding to go with the element where you have 2 of these tile changers is the way to go

Yeah sad about the spire part, but yes, it means they do additional damage, but I'm not sure if it's 35% for the same element. If you match their secondary and they're subs, then they'll only do 35% damage in that element. It might feel like having the same elem is better, but for characters like Victoria, it means she can proc bleed off of both fire and water tiles

I think Steam Deck is just gonna be another one of those like overhyped stuff that's not gonna impress to the expected degrees once it comes out. Like this thing's still not gonna play Nintendo or most of Sony games or anything like that.

A lot of its discussions remind me a lot of Vita pre-release til the Vita became doomed real quick.

Also another big thing that I feel people mention but are really glossing over, this shit doesn't have any cartridge or cd slots lol. It barely has any storage space on default, and you'll need to spend 50+ bucks on sd cards to stand a chance, which reminds me a lot of Vita's memory card fiasco. Cuz otherwise, you download like 1 triple A game and you honestly don't really have space for another on the default model. Unlike the consoles, you can't choose physical copies as an alternative either.

It's also not so powerful that it's going to change your playing experience. It'll probably really benefit people who don't have a halfway decent PC, but conversely it's way too costly for people with great PCs to invest in just for the portability and less than half the power of a high end PC.

5* dupes get you like 5 star gems, which can contribute to getting the 100 star gems for one of the breakthrough items. Though the easiest way to get them is to just level up the right middle room to lvl 5

Ugh... this took me like a week? Doing the Touhou Scarlet Tower, aka the long hyped supposed hardest content in the game thus far, and boy people were not joking. This thing was gruelingly difficult. At one point I memorized like 12-13 different unit's billions of mechanics per character like the switching or the bullet elements etc because I looked them up so many times. I admit the design got a bit repetitive in between several of the floors, but if I wanted to optimize my full heals, then I needed to be pretty smart about a lot of the fights despite being so similar. I also didn't have a max Medicine, which made enemies with no weaknesses or enemies with weaknesses I can't break easily really difficult to deal with

And the reward for my effort is my completely F2P, incredibly lucky Alt Marisa MLB. Which btw, she utterly freaking carried me without her Last Word so... wow. Can't even imagine how broken she is with her Last Word now. The whole point of getting to floor 25 is that it gives you the special limit break item specifically for these special units. They gave 1 for free and I pulled 3 of her, so yeah this makes the 4th and final one. Couldn't be happier with my account, but kinda funny that now I've beaten most of the difficult stuff before I got what I wanted >.>

Scarlet Tower going on in Touhou LW. It is... a doozy for sure... I'm always down for difficulty RPG-y things. But boy, this is tiring. Definitely doesn't help that I never ended up pulling the last required copy of Scarlet Witch, but she's mostly the reason I'm doing this tower in the first place lol

I got past the 20th floor, maybe with a bit of an overkill. Should be possible to get to the 25th by the end of the period easily

But yeah... really puts into perspective which units are actually good lol. Daiyousei is top tier, Scarlet Witch is top tier, Patchouli top tier, Medicine top tier, Reimu/Yukari top tier, and anybody you maxed should be useful no matter what as the final burst to the set up by the top tiers. Basically if you haven't built like a ton of units, then you'll have a hard time. It's possible to brute force but breaking with elements or status is just so much easier.

It's just bizarre what the english guides prioritize. Most units can farm, and you only really need to build like 2 farmers at best. Meanwhile for Tower, you need to build a LOT of units to an acceptable degree

FFL SELeCT Cup currently live. It's a global invitational with teams that are 1 streamer and 2 pros with all the streamers being master rank or somewhere around.

Matsuri has a team, so does Kanae, Kuzuha, and Chihiro from Niji and the likes of VGorilla, AlphaAzur, playing with nutty teams like 2 of the members from America's TSM (no ImperialHAL though) and Europe's Genburten, who I saw for the first time just now and am basically a fan. This guy is mega cracked. There are also korean players from T1 and such. Nobody from CR though, because they have their own tournament going on at the same time.

Kinda wish I got to see Astel here. He's pretty much good enough to be a pro, and it'd be cool to see what he does with 2 actual pros that may or may not be better than him.

He doesn't really own Cinemassacre now and leaves most of the operation to those Screenwave Media guys that literally nobody likes lol. Since then those Screenwave guys have just tried to copy Redlettermedia, and James has relegated himself to a mostly actor role.

They also got rid of all those really good thumbnail arts that Mike drew in favor of some generic title and AVGN face. I'll probably never forgive them for that. I can understand Mike didn't want to do those anymore but the old ones didn't need to go away

One random tip about the IC voting event thing, it's just like the Zombieland collab event voting thing.

Make sure to vote for both sides. You get reward for placing in both winning and losing side, so it's just free. It's pretty easy to place high with like minimal voting on the clearly losing side so you can just put down like the 2 of the least point ones and just call it a day

It's kinda weird how that one works. I think either the description is bad or the skill is bad. So the enemy already needs to be bled before her chain skill, and only the first regular attack that hits recovers. Really most of her recovery comes from her active. The passive heal is pretty shitty

Somehow or another, this became a thing... I recently blew my entire normal ticket savings on the Yume banner, freakin' pulled her to finally get 80% of attackers available in the game. My 2nd highest % of owning a class is like 60%, so that's mostly why I'm probably gonna be using only Attacker leader from now on.

I finally got rid of Joanie Boom or whatever the fuck her name is; she was just a huge dead weight. Also Leonas story is pretty funny

Yeah Maggie. Those skills are just great, though the cd-1 LB is way too good to go without. I only have it on Sikare atm. Every elem has at least 1 of those.

Well outside just dating, they do technically have lower expectations than guys who are often ostracized for not earning enough for the family for example. Sure women have their own share of expectations, but I think all things considered, being expected to succeed in life is a lot rougher.

Which stage? It's possible they're expecting you to kill fast enough for the next spawn tho. I didn't do all the events myself. I don't have enough dps to take out the stupid fishmen and they just make my leader run away. I can clear all the normals but not the challenge difficulties

3*ing this shit took way long than I'm willing to admit. My only A3 character is still Carleen, and she definitely helped a ton with the bigger bosses, but really the key here was getting my Michael's equipment to level 9. Lvl 1 equip only gives you a 123% on an elemental advantage, but lvl 9 gets you a whopping 150% dmg lol. It takes less effort than making a unit A3 and gives way more damage output.

Probably the funniest thing about these types of topics is always that the grass seems greener on the other side. Like literally Sony and MS are frequently working at a loss on this industry, their games are often very homogeneous, their consoles are homogeneous, their developmental time takes forever, they lack the number of iconic IPs that they often run into months of games that majority of people don't care about, they are also heavily reliant on 3rd parties as a result which can result in the 3rd parties underperforming leading to terrible launches (like Cyberpunk 2077), most people they market to can't afford a TV to take advantage of 4K, Sony restricts crossplay, etc, etc.

I'm sure you can easily nitpick every other company and call them "the most baffling(ly) managed major company." There isn't really like a gold standard for running a video game industry. There aren't infinite resources, and sometimes some decisions are based on big picture that have short term complaints on either the supplier or the consumer side.

But yeah the Switch is doing well, and for the OLED, people have had very similar reaction to the lite... except that shit sold a truckload to casuals, aka the market that most people in any video game discussions have next to 0 idea about because they don't ever fucking talk to people in the real world.

OLED does not appeal to casuals in particular, of course, but there is a market for people who want a Switch upgrade and a huge subgroup of the market who only play Switch on handheld.

One other side thing to point out, some people who have a lite and really like it... might want to upgrade to the OLED, ever thought of that?
