Though you can definitely afford to build like 1-3 units on the side for specific purposes, so it's not really the worst thing to have her on the side and only use her when necessary lul.

Also one random side note about Alchemy Stars, you don't have to get any of the Sinsa or Eve related achievements to get the achievement goals rewards on the left side.

Then another good unit to go for is... Nicola? I'm pretty sure it's her, but look at her toolkit. She's a tank killer, probably does a better job of penetrating defenses than Ion, though obviously if it's some crazy heal heavy team then Ion is better (well the quintessential healer killer is Fenebeth because she makes heals become damages). Nicola is currently available for like 400 fan thingies in the battle pass thing.

I'm not huge on her design and already have Ion so >.>

Unfortunately I couldn't get Ion though. But realistically I probably wasn't going to use her, so it's more just that fear of missing out, which I have to train myself to ignore.

Kichou had a side story some time ago. I already got her, and she's one of my best units for sure. In case you didn't know, she's Saya's sister. She gets a lot of mention throughout the main story, but her story only really happens on her side story.

Ion is also pretty great. Yeah I'd say she's not like necessary if you have good enough DPS line up. What makes her great is her true damage that she does every 3 hits. Her ult hits 3 times, and her special hits 2 times, so she gets a surprising amount of true damage off, and against high defense opponents, she's always gonna be MVP. But yeah you won't need her, especially if you're already happy with your current team

I discovered I had a crapton of consumables that give random gifts, so I just opened them all and got 3 characters to level 5 affinity. That gave me the 70 points I needed to get the 5 Star Flares at the end of the beginners quest thing. But damn, if they expected beginners to actually fill out all the boards, theyre nuts, since you have to clear level 15 on all the spires :<

Yeah thank goodness Astel's mostly moved on and even have a whole imouto/aniki thing with Ollie that I rarely ever see outright hate for. Usually when I'm in Astel's chat, it's Apex aficionados and like half English and Japanese. I heavily doubt you can even watch Apex content if you have some problem with male/female relationship and banter and such, because 90% of Japanese Apex content are like mixed sex.

Also yeah lol event missions tend to be pretty difficult, but they actually don't take your character's levels into account, so you can feel free to use just about whoever. I dunno if the next tier opened up, but usually I dealt with the sea monster guy with Miyuki

It's not really niche under a certain age group. If you see some of the western viewership numbers on popular anime or even just the crunchyroll subscription levels, anything other than popular Netflix or Amazon shows (or previously Game of Thrones) don't really come close to their numbers. So you can't really call them niche.

Also CE's average age is like... pretty fucking high nowadays lol. Most ppl here don't know what's going on 25 or younger age groups, and that's natural unless they have like older nephews or something they keep in contact with.

Yeah Matsuri has since voicechatted with viewers in Apex. But for some time Towa did it first and as the only one as an offensively cute Merry Christmas thing to her viewers on voice chat (plenty of girls have interacted with viewers in the form of text vs speech).

I'm sure Suisei could get her way whether or not the viewers like it, but she's collabed with guys b4. Those 2 guys who cook for other vtubers and do singing stuff with them. She appeared on their show with Toko and did a cover song with them, though nothing much after. Also guys have wrote all of their songs, and her artist is a guy. I feel like the more mainstream Holo becomes, the sentiment of guys not being allowed in their presence is gonna die out or at least be drowned. Not many in the Western crowd would ever tolerate that kinda anti-guy behavior either.

I dunno, bruh, these people have to be like one of those guys who will gaga at any girls past a certain threshold of attractiveness, but most people don't tend to flirt with professional connections, unless their proximity is just always so short on a daily basis, then some sketch starts to start.

Also would like to mention Towa-sama has been in multiple Apex tourneys with guys, so has Matsuri. In fact, Selly (a Korean guy with a female avatar btw, who speaks basic Japanese) and Towa's friendship was something that people found quite endearing actually, which I think supports my opinion that most of this sentiment is no longer really a thing anymore, and many some girls are just scared of a past tendency. Selly and Towa is teaming up again, now with Met, in the upcoming CR cup

Also shout outs to Met again, cuz her voice is cute as hell, and she also screams like a doofus and it's funi

Although she initially showed up as a generic shrine maiden but she did change to a shark theme right when Gura showed up as a new model, she even talked about how it hurt her reputation a little since she was just like "Shark VTuber will be something different!". Her trouble began when she accidentally tweeted a clip from Cocos other channel, viewer counts dropped like a rock but not sub count.

But the primary point is it's hard to judge how well a channel is doing by sub count, views matter more.

Oh is that what happened? She made a name for herself on Twitter, and I did try to watch her content, but she wasn't quite doing it for me I guess.

I can believe 80 days. I'm on the 2nd tier and it'll take me about 13 days to get out of it XD. I have to wonder if by that point we'll have way better units. I'm taking my time with this game. I do want to progress more but the event will be telling on how this game will be handled in the near future

From experience, I have her at asc 2 lvl 50, and she's pretty sick. Her dash is really fun to use and does a lot of damage against big bosses, and her tiles are pretty nice. Pretty great boss character for lightning

Also I think she has a rather odd sense of humor for being emotionless lol. I think sometimes she's just trolling you

This Tenka beach event gave me so much money and mats that my team can just freaking auto the 50 stam stuff. Unless some fringe AI happens where Iai Strike hits the same target twice, which I've never seen it do so far, I can finally do this even if I run out of auto tickets.

But I still can't beat the first event of the part 3 challenge. Wtf is this shit... It really doesn't help that the boss is light type so my Aiko and Daphne can't survive the random AOE or single targets. Can't defend with them because I need their heals and shields.

Shit also has a bunch of like hidden rules. Like the first floor alone, took me like 10 tries to figure out how Petra's AI works. She will occasionally do some big AOE shit under some set of rules, and it's basically like... if there are 2 other allies left and one of them is below 50% hp, she will immediately try to burst you with the AOE, where guarding through that turn will guarantee survival. She also sometimes seem to use it like in the 3rd or 4th cycle, not sure. You also can't kill her immediately, because she will give your team a status that gives the middle 3 units 10 follow attacks, which you're supposed to use to interrupt 3 of the units when they're trying to curse you. I recommend taking the recov/shield debuffs. Leaving Petra for last also lets you stall nearly forever on her, but it doesn't matter cuz the next floor is ridiculous and has no clear answer like the first floor does

It's interesting, but some fucking clarity and less randomness and overtuned bs would be really nice.

I mean I like driving, but driving is incredibly irresponsible. East Asian countries pretty much prove that cars can be optional in a society, and the environment is better for it, and it also helps keep people employed or make stations hot spots that are easy to access.

We only don't have public transportation because of bureaucracy and the rich trying to keep the poor poorer. This isn't some like conspiracy theory. I've literally talked to people who've worked with Metro higher ups who purposely blocked projects that would make public transportation possible. In the media, we get some bullshit explanation about how nobody wants it because they use data from the currently garbage public transportation system, even though systems like Uber or Lyft has blown up in the last few years.

It's honestly more like if you're an adult and you don't recognize driving being a detriment to society, that's a major red flag

Because the way they worded it, I should be able to leave after the first fight and still finish the quest.

Like I said, what counts it is the act of pressing start at the building screen.

You can actually just leave off at the leader select screen and it'll count as being finished

Oh ho hokay, so people on reddit were crying about Spire 43 in AS. I was like naaah how bad could it be

Oh god. It is as bad as they all say, maybe worse. See, if a boss literally strands you with 0 way to do damage or escape, and their fucking attack range fills the entire map for whatever reason, and they hit like a fucking truck, AND they have a shitload of hp, then at that point really the only way to beat this is to just level up like a goddamn insane person lol

I mean ngl, I actually didn't mind 8-14 cuz it did make me really have to strategize. But this is just like a void of strategy, an anti-design. God I hope this isn't what's in store for this game, or a team full of 2 tile proc and insane turn 1 skills is pretty much gonna be the future.

Yeah you need a teleporter and a healer on the team for sure to reduce. Well Philyshy does fill both roles. You prob also gotta have one short board changer and a long but huge board changer and 2 DPS. Usually that'd be enough for every stage, but some bosses will require other things

Seems I wasn't the only one having trouble with 8-14 in AS. Just to give a benchmark, I actually 3*ing nearly everything prior to it with less than half the current power of my team in 1-2 tries. Had to few days of just grinding just to even stand a chance, needed a lot of luck just to beat it

Yeah it's nearly impossible. If you were able to brush it off fully with no real consequence, it wasn't really a trauma for you. Otherwise, it'll surface in various forms. To this day, I haven't really learned how trauma disappears. Sometimes it'll be like a decade but the effect snowballs throughout the years rather than get better. Even if you nip it in the bud, it still feels like there's some lasting effect. It really is more like a better that it never happened in the first place kinda thing, but that realization will start to make you retreat from society. It's a vicious cycle

Welp as soon as I made the post, I guess the next few more levels to my team actually went and did it. I beat the boss with literally 1 turn left. Michael is a freakin goddess. But it might be some time til I can 3* it.

Luckily, the last Colossus upgrade item is not locked to 3* so huzzah, I guess I gotta do the Colo upgrade stuff for a while >.>. But at least it'll speed up some aspects of farming, which is why I've been desperate to beat this shit.

Ngl I was gonna dedicate full time to asc 3'ing Carleen but now I think Michael might end up just being first. It just feels so good to use her skill too, like blam, everything in your path is dead

I made a ton of attempts with a ton of diff team comp, but the one that did it was: Michael (asc 2 lvl 50)/Connolly (asc 2 lvl 17)/Victoria (asc 2 lvl 38)/Carleen (asc 2 lvl 36)/Beverly (asc 1 lvl 40). Yeah it has 2 lightning, 1 fire, and 2 water lol. I tried Mono-elements and all sorts of wild shit, and honestly this team was just better. I really only think mono-elem is better when you have like 3 6*s of that element. Most 6*s just do so much utility and damage that they kinda make up for not always being able to attack. Ascending Beverly and Michael and leveling them up a bit will probably let me get 3*s on this, mostly cuz I managed to stay above 50% hp with next to 0 healing.

Man, it's crazy cuz you kinda need both AOE and single target damage. You probably shouldn't carry healing, and you just gotta play massively smart and just spam the shit out of checking the opponent's range. Connolly was also a low key MVP, because the 1x1 bosses can be feared, which means they don't attack and just run away. That ended up being crucial in one of the turns where I had no way to escape unless the fear landed on the small bosses

I mean generally, if he died like 2 days after the vaccine, most likely his immune system weakening from the aftermath of the vaccine invited another disease. He was also 13, which probably meant the malicious stuff grew very quickly to where his immune system couldn't cope. Hopefully something more solid comes up and it's not just a matter with Pfizer or anything, cuz Moderna isn't exactly that reliable either, but they've both generally protected from death via Covid.

Also in Alchemy Stars, I've been... stuck at 8-14, the last main story available atm, for several days now. Holy crap this boss is a bitch. Every single move delays your team's cooldowns, so if you get hit once, you're prone to getting mired in a middle of nowhere. The boss takes up a 3x3 in the center, which usually isn't bad cuz 3x3 bosses are easy to damage, but he's also got a ton of hp... and when he dies he splits into 2 2x2 bosses that also delay and are now even harder to avoid being damaged by. To make it worse, they seem to have just as much HP as the first boss. But the 2x2 split into 2 1x1 bosses that delay the least cd unit by 3 turns for every hit, which pretty much cripples you, but because there are 4 of them on the field, they're very hard to avoid. But on top of that, the 4 combined seem to have as much hp as the 1st boss, but it's even harder to kill them because they only occupy 1x1, which makes your AOE hard units far less good

Also their element is water, and I haven't built a single lightning unit to acceptable standards. So I've trained up Michael to be asc 2 lvl 50, which the req says asc 2 lvl 30... that's complete bullshit. Michael can do a hella damage but her skill isn't a low cd board changer, so the skill delays and the shitload of damage makes me succumb

Would it have killed them to maybe give me like 2 more turns if they're gonna spam skill delays on me?

I eventually got really good at GT with phone controls. The problem was whenever the game would throw some precision bs at me, and the phone controls are horrendous for those. Then I switched to emu and had no problem

But yeah the managers are greedy, but it's still not that bad for the beginners due to a lot of the free shit they can get. I feel like this game could've gone long term with a better management. Yeah if you go through it, then you click challenge again, if you see the image with the building and "start," clicking that is what counts towards that daily. If that doesn't work, then you might need to submit a ticket, not sure

Hey...the daily quest for the Tales From the Deep even in Illusion Connect is bugged. It says to challenge Illusion Corridor once. I did that, and it still says Not Achieved :<

For Illusion Corridor, if you click the run to start, you can continue it any time. But if you don't finish that run, it won't count towards doing it. I'm in an eternal cycle of doing a run, then clicking start again and leaving it off for later.

Monolith has said it'll cost too much for XCX port to be worth it. I guess it's not a simple port for some reason.

Another thing to note is that Monolith was just about developing both BOTW and XCX around the same time. Well it was at the tail end of XCX, then they worked on XC2 right after. That's a lot of worlds for 1 company
