I'm not very good at stealth games in general so I first played it mainly because other people were dead set on recommending it. A lot of the time I was waiting for it to click and become something I wanted to replay and experiment with but it never did. This was back before interactive movies took over so I couldn't instantly identify it. Kinda just shrugged.

As for giant distractions Eva is all I can think of, the other games were just a lot of skulking around murky rooms and a jungle. I've played 1-3 and then when even the actual MGS fans were starting to call out problems with the later games I backed right off for good except Revengeance which was okay. Quoting it is definitely more fun than playing it.

I often wonder how a Dead Rising one would work.
I know I've seen an item randomiser but scoops and the survivors the offer appearing in a random order could be interesting. Or really frustrating.

I voted no but they aren't going away are they? I wish the interactive movies with minimal replay value on the whole would announce themselves as such. That'd be a pretty clean fix.

The fans of those would even have an easier time knowing where to look too. There'd be a shelf covered in political statement simulators, walking simulators, experiences, interactive tours of the latest graphics, resident evil 7, games with the word 'important' used a lot in their high scoring reviews, games whose devs do not use the word fun, exclusives you can fiercely defend online to stave off the buyer's remorse after a console purchase, the game that has the current meme everyone's already run into the ground and more.
They could put that shelf by the funko pops. They could even turn the price up to 80 or 90 dollars since these people seem to overvalue a one time novelty to a comedic extent.

It's a really little thing but I love the mildly irked "What'd you do that for?" Trevor gives after the contestant miraculously rips both arms clean off by spinning a wheel too hard and it's become one of my default responses to insane accidents like that.

I never denied youtube does what it does for the advertisers benefit. Nothing it does is to help the viewer or creator, but if creators want to maintain a platform and income, they have to do what they have to do. Only a lucky few can defy this with how youtube has purposely built themselves.

And the real solution is to just watch the millions of other content creators who don't do what you think is an utterly unforgiveable sin. And if a five second "like and subscribe etc." at the end of a video really bothers you then I dunno, that sounds like a you problem. I manage to just ignore it from the ones I watch that do it. Several do shitty clickbaity thumbnails, but then I'm not sure I pay any attention to the thumbnail of those I'm subscribed to anyway as they aren't targeted to subscribers, but the algorithm and getting new people to click. And their content doesn't reflect the clickbait thumbnail, as those that maintain that idiocy into their videos are pretty awful, I agree.

That might as well be a me problem. I dislike that it's a me problem and that people are so excited to watch ads and be boxed into a narrow range of recommendations with the occasional random algorithm-boosted video thrown in but seeing people stick up for it like this leaves a bad taste and I feel like I should say something at least.

Going looking for new Youtube content is usually a fruitless endeavour and you're going to be sifting through a lot of the same glorified spammers and so it's gotten very rare that I'll find a new channel I actually like. I do like to go looking for new music occasionally but other than that I'm mostly carried by the fact I've been on the site long enough to just remember a pretty large volume of users and videos that I can go check in on.
I miss old Youtube when its old favorite game "Ah fuck where'd they hide the new comment notification this time?" was the biggest irritation you had to contend with.

And given how much youtube hates its creators, they need to ensure they can actually turn a profit. Many often have others who rely on them as well and not all can rely on sponsors or patreon.

You can hate it all you want, but blame youtube, not the content creators. I agree all the clickbait is stupid, but a large number of them who use it are pretty open it's just to game the algorithm and then make their standard content.

Youtube does what it does for the ad people these creators are trying to link arms and laugh down at everyone else with. Everyone using the site feels the brunt of most of it. I never liked how most of the focus is on people who're already yelling at you to follow them on 5 other websites including a patreon like they're the real victims, or targets here. The videos they get to make complaining are free easy content alone if they can rile their following up.

Those spam videos for money creators are happy to participate in the worsening of the site and rake in a few bucks but they freak out when the site's drastic or sudden changes affect them. Contort to any shape if it means the people using the site can't get your obnoxious mid-screech expression out of their recommended feed with a heap of ads stashed behind the image and surrounded by... pretty much nothing worth watching. If there's blame to be distributed they're getting an equal amount to the site itself.

Why would you want to make videos for fun when you could be the rat that meticulously studies the youtube meta and is most helpful to ad companies looking to force their shit into people's entertainment?

I cannot wait to sneer at people for not knowing that we're all supposed to forgive the enormous scam. I am so pumped to do my part to rehabilitate the company's image.

I like to collect up all the robot-like enhancements in New Vegas and pretend they're actually biological mutations that give my character those abilities innately. Like Vault 22's apex predator or something. It's a shame when my character is made to talk and there's no option to stop speaking and just turn hostile. I feel like the most he should do vocally is rasp, hiss and gargle. A lot of the other repeat playthroughs kind of clump together like it's all one collective Groundhog Day scenario so sometimes I just try to lie about what's going on and make up crazy additional lore.

Your version sounds a little tougher though, I don't think I could portray a very convincing Shulk in Xenoblade, especially with how garbled things get near the end. I'd probably be better at emulating a really over the top character like Wesker or one of the TF2 classes though.

Going from memory. 1 Regenerator in the room where you first find the card key, 1 Regenerator in the freezer room another 2 waiting in the hallway outside. 1 in the prison in 5-4. 1 Iron Maiden in that lab room, 2 in the room at the start of the chapter after they jump in the waste disposal.
Colmillos yeah, outside the church after Del Lago and the hedge maze around chapter 3-ish. Hey that's still an enemy, they even have a mutation.

You've also got 3 variants of plaga, one detaches and becomes its own enemy. I think Illuminados having shield, scythe and crossbow variants sets them apart from your regular Ganados. If you really wanna reach there's the snakes that come out of the boxes, tripwires and bear traps lying around and in the Krauser fight there's little robot drone things that shoot at you and try to explode.

I think reusing minibosses is handled well enough though, you get 3 El Gigantes, 3 Garrador encounters, maybe 5 chainsaws, 2 JJs, an optional Bella sisters fight and there's Super Salvador in mercs waterworld if that counts.

Dark Souls 1 is really great.

Yeah I'd have the ol "Why did I dedicate my time toward this?" feeling if I'd been on board for the best part of a decade waiting for that. Unfortunate.

I like the Dead Rising 4 to Dead Rising 1 comparison as well as the CSGO hysteria and forgotten TF2 design one.

I don't really need a clip show of what was wrong with each all hype no substance scam but they might make nice nostalgia filled time capsules for next gen when you have to pay to open the disc tray and the run button is dlc or whatever.

7th gen it started going downhill fast, 8th gen it got way too fast to stop. This gen is the same as 8th so far.

I'd say it's a shame but the remake's going to suck anyway so why not?
Go ahead, make it unfun and boring. That's been the series' gimmick for a few years now after all.

I wish easy modes weren't just embarrassing enemy stats and would instead have some fun with it and let me get away with some truly heinous antics against those excuses for enemies.

They inexplicably kept him out of UMVC3, one of the interviewers even said something to the effect of "One of the first characters we identified as having nothing new or creative to bring to the game that people would like was MMX."

They cancelled Mega Man Universe which I was more interested in too. A little while later bad box art MM got into SFxT to bury the character even further. Joke's on them though he had a glitch that let him win by timer scam in that game.
There was some 3D FPS Mega Man prototype that got out after a while around the time.
MMZX Advent ended with a preview of a game that was never made if you want to throw it on the pile.

I always thought it was kinda weird how not at all hidden this building was.
There should have been a few characters in gen 2 who read a few of the notes lying around and were frustrated the island exploded because now they might never get a full explanation of what was going on.

Force ghosts hadn't even been invented yet during order 66 right? Wasn't it a bit later when Qui Gon who'd been dead for as long as it took Anakin to go from a kid to a young adult finally figured it out.

What are the pre-requisites for being a force ghost though, surely you just have to be strong enough with the force and not actually a good guy?
Maybe it'd be cool if becoming Vader somehow damaged his force proficiency to the point he couldn't brute force his way to force ghost status.
