Man, people are horrible about him. All this constant speculating about how his death and his health all in the context of "I hope I get my media content!" and completely disregarding him as a person. He's clearly terrible at managing his writing, yadayada. But "waaah I want a book!" isn't justification for dehumanising someone into a story dispenser.

If you don't think the books will be finished, shut the fuck up and move on. If you really want them finished and hope it happens, stop insulting the guy in every conversation because he hasn't finished a book yet. If I was him I'd tell the fans to fuck off too. There's a lot of "staple features" of Pokemon that really need to be culled to be honest, or at least changed. And replaced of course. But they can't just keep the same basic gameplay and pile on more and more features and items each gen.

I'm a big Weezer fan and that might be one of my least favourite of their songs. I don't know if it's overplayed to me or what, I just find it so boring.

I love GTA and I've played GTA Online for a hideously long amount of time, but if any future GTA is missing the good singleplayer, I shan't be buying it.

I wasn't a massive fan. I liked the call-out part, the ending was the bit I enjoyed the most. But the first half was just a lot of winking at the camera. Worst kind of meta. This was less of a Scream movie and more of a movie about Scream. The older films played it straight despite how ridiculous it was. It obviously knew and thought it was cool. Whereas here it felt more like a really easy joke they kept falling back on. Like an alternative Scary Movie 1.

I realise I sound like a crazed fan but I don't actually even like the franchise. I only saw this because my brother wanted to and I felt bad letting him go alone.

The Last Jedi was at the very least interesting in ways TFA and TROS weren't.

The trilogy really did need one person overseeing it though, from more than a managerial/financial perspective.

I've gone from "eh I'll wait for reviews" to "I don't want to see anymore info before I play the game on release day" with that video.

The Xbox One S is still viable I think. Some people will want something cheaper without wanting an all digital console.

There's a character, a high elf I think, who has a line where the voice actress says "oh I messed that up let me try again" and it made it into the game.

People were never obsessed with TV and movies in the past.

Anything serious?

I think it was gallstone induced pain. It would usually go away after 5 hours max but it lasted like 20 hours or something. They think it got infected as well I think. I was throwing up a lot. Gave me antibiotics and morphine and kept me in overnight. I left the hospital yesterday and I was able to eat today without feeling hideously sick and the major pain is near enough gone, but it does feel like someone punched me in the ribs.

I just got out of A&E (that's British for ER) for stomach pain and the first thing I saw was this topic. It's fate.

They're alright. I wouldn't clock it as fake cheese, but it doesn't really resemble mozzarella either. Creamy and oily.

I've heard a lot of my family sing the praises of vegetarian chicken nuggets. "It tastes more like chicken than actual chicken nuggets". But I think the egg they tend to have helps a lot with flavour. Good plant based ones are rarer, although my family had some vegan ones the other day they didn't mind.

I love that Subway "trick" of not asking for double meat until after they've already added the first portion, as if they don't have a scoop that precisely portions out the meat they're serving. They don't care, you're not "tricking" the sandwich artist. They just scoop the meat to the size of the scoop.

The big thing that brings me back here is probably the lack of upvote/downvote system. Everything on Reddit feels like it needs to be carefully curated with every counterpoint covered like I'm writing a thesis or everyone will be mean to me. Here, I don't care if you're mean to me. I can't see a numerical representation of how unpopular I am.

The thing that puts me off Undertale is that the entire shtick of the game seems to be the way it remembers your previous playthroughs. But that relies on me doing loads of playthroughs, which I'm only going to do if I completely loved the game on the first time. I got maybe halfway or 2/3 of the way through a second playthrough, and it's exactly the same as the first except Sans has gone "huehuehue" and winked at the camera (through dialogue I mean, I'm not referring to his literal winking at the camera) like twice. Why would I replay it again after this? Because by the third and fourth playthroughs it'll get really compelling? Meh.

Also, Paper Mario Sticker Star is better than Super Paper Mario.

Yeah, every time I try veganuary I tell myself "no fake meat, it always sucks" then I inevitably try some kind and it either makes me give up or at the very least ruins a day or two with how joyless it is.

Nah. Not without a guide. My dad had a solved one on display that I accidentally unsolved. "I'll turn it a couple of times and I'll know where to turn it back". I didn't. Had to find the method to solve it before he found out.

I've played Elder Scrolls Online for something like 300 hours, doing only questing without any of the repeatable raid-type stuff, and I've still got around half of the game that I haven't touched.

The performance. So many console games these days feel barely ported. I'd rather have them than not at all I suppose, but the amount of AA or indie games I try that are clearly a PC UI that hasn't been adapted for console at all and is barely readable on a TV at distance is disappointing.

The Sims 3 on 360 was a bit gimped compared to the PC version IIRC. And it actually launched with an infinite loading bug that took like six months to patch... BUT my point is, it played well. The Sims 4 is on Xbox One and PS4, and it's pretty much a direct port of the PC version. It even has the console available for cheats and stuff. And it runs and plays like garbage. Sure you can buy every single expansion pack, but good luck doing that and not having your game crash in less than ten minutes.

There's always been graphical bugs, inconsistent frame rates, etc., but I feel there's so many games I try these days that just feel like the complete bare minimum was done in regards to releasing it. GTAIV having a patchy frame rate on the 360? Understandable, it might have been the best looking game on the console at the time. Firewatch on the Xbox One having little freezes and crashes? Fuck off, your game looks like it could run on a phone.

oh yeah I can get behind this one. Spent the entire show waiting for it to get good, but absolutely nothing amounted to anything. Whenever it looked like it was about to get good and something interesting was going to happen, it didn't. Rebels was a significant improvement in pretty much every way.

Switch has some really weird ones. Not full on sex ones as far as I'm aware, but there's uncensored nekopara I think. Funny that of the big 3, Nintendo has the most these days.

I always think of 2000-2012ish as when licensed games were at their worst. There was so many throwaway licensed games, even late into the 360's life.
