I just came back from Japan earlier this week and yes, there are a ton of tourists. It really depends on where you go though. Shibuya on a Saturday or Sunday are fucking unbearable.

It's still very enjoyable and generally a great time to go thanks to a very affordably JPY, but just do research before you go on what places to avoid if tourists bother you.

It was my favorite game for a different reason back then. I was 11 when it was released and didn't really understand much of it. I kept understanding more since I played it again and again as I got older. It wasn't until I was 30 though that I understood everything now that it's so much more relatable. It's definitely the most interesting Metal Gear game in the series to me now.

Any rice cooker will do. I've spent as little as $20 on a rice cooker many years ago and it lasted more than a decade. All the rice cooker does is remove one step: turning the heat down at the proper time when steaming rice. For this reason, any cheap rice cooker will do and will yield great results.

It's very very good and a worthy successor to the DS. As always, a console is only as good as the games released on it, and the 3DS is very strong in this regard. One gripe I have with the console is the stick. It's alright, but alright doesn't cut it all the time unfortunately.

Would have been amazing to have a stick that you could push and it'd pop out and turn into a stick like the ones we see on the controllers.

I'm pretty bad in this regard too, but what I've learned is it's important to have a system of where things go. Following this system will take more time than just putting it where you are at that moment, but at least you won't constantly be losing this. I used to misplace my keys all the time. It was a fucking pain because I'd need to leave to be punctual to any given appointment, and I'd be late because I couldn't find my keys.

I thought Crash 4 did what Crash 1-3 did, just better. Sure it was difficult, but on average Crash 1 was probably even more difficult (those aged controls are a big part of what made it hard).

I think Crash 4 is probably the best Crash game ever released. Sure the levels were long, but since they were quality levels, it meant more quality content. They did go overboard with the boxes, and hid some boxes too well, but that doesn't detract from the gameplay. I'd try to get 100% boxes, but if I couldn't find one I'd just look it up. The difficulty was perfect imo, it really felt like an accomplishment when I beat the levels thanks to that.

TC, my wife and I were exactly the same. We had our first girl in 2018 and our second girl in 2020. She got a cesarian for both. Because of this, getting the wife neutered after the second cesarian was comparatively affordable because she was already "open", so to speak.

While we're over the moon with both of our girls, and life couldn't be better - we do feel some regret for having done the neutering. At the time because we essentially doubled the amount of children we had, we thought "two is definitely enough". But now that they're both 4 and 5 we do feel a small amount of regret. Going from 2 to 3 would not have made our life much harder, but we'd have had a third child...

Just telling you about my own experience, this will obviously differ from person to person. Some might think a single child is more than enough. I constantly think of how amazing it would have been to have a third child.

Why condoms instead of a whole glove?

It's for better breathability. The use of finger cots helps keep moisture, body oils, perspiration away from the watch components to prevent them from being damaged. Wearing those gloves for 3-4 hours at a time make your hands really uncomfortable.

I got invited by Omega to their headquarters in Biel Switzerland for a watchmakers course, and made a video documenting the experience. Basically we received an uncased movement, which we completely disassembled, reassembled, and cased. Between each step in the video we were explained what was to be done next and then it was back onto the workbench to execute it.

The watch's (Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 49mm) case has a pretty large 49mm diameter, but this large watch was used because it uses a large movement. Smaller movements are exponentially harder to work on, so it made sense for us beginners to work on such a large movement.

It was a fascinating experience! It might look a lot easier than it was, but this might be because I cut the video as short as possible. For instance, the part I refer to as the "final boss" in the video took about 5-6 minutes just to get the part in properly. I never needed such steady hands to do anything! It was incredibly fun and enlightening! I'm a sucker for mechanical watches, so it was very interesting to get hands on and really understand how they work. The watch features a simple date-less movement displaying the hours minutes and sub-seconds.

Amen TC... Today games that I'm interested in are releasing at a rate that's faster than I'm able to play them. It's pretty sad tbh... I have 2 daughters (4 and 5) and barely find time to play. Last night it was 9pm and they were put to bed. I thought I had a good 3 hours of time to play games. Hopped on the sofa and was sound asleep by 9:05. Woke up at 3am, crawled to bed and here I am now at 8:15...

I'm thinking when they're 8+ years old and don't wanna spend time with their lame-ass parents (us), I'll have time to get back into playing more video games. This could be wishful thinking of course - but hey, I can dream, can't I?

Tbh the kickstarter campaign leaves me with a bad taste. Fucking being charged $28 for shipping, which is more than I paid for a physical copy which was said to include shipping, just like all the other campaigns I backed. Then they go back on their word and charge fucking $28 which is such an obvious overcharging for 1 physical game.

I have hopes the game will be good (it probably will be), but fuck everyone involved for doing this shit to the people who financed their game.

Honestly, it's only the ice cream that makes your smoothie unhealthy. The banana is more than enough to sweeten the smoothie. Try without the ice cream and you'll most likely still enjoy it - and it'll actually be healthy.
