seiya monogatari has so many makings of a masterpiece and i'm glad it isn't being shut out. siimilarly i'm glad ydkj appears to be holding its own too, i feel like dracula x is rather overrated given that it's a bad remake, even if it's still a decent castlevania. lastly, rooting for the vb's one and only shot at winning a match in any of these contests lol, especially since vb wario land is legit a top 2 wario land game imo

i only have duck game and super puzzle platformer deluxe (but would still recommend both)

i remember it actually took me way longer than that before i even realised it was a thing, like i think i'd done at least coffin ending and axe ending before learning it had speedup

you could, it's just unlocked after an initial run iirc

the voice acting is fine but the fact that the whole dual screen/novel and adv mode dialogue is split up and you know, that's kind of really important for the plot makes it really awful. if you're on adv mode you just completely miss over half of the game's script and i hate that that's all you ever see on video playthroughs and stuff

also the game just isn't really suited for the flowchart system

i wish the nonary games release wasn't a bad way to play 999 (personal psa to anyone blind on it please get the ds version instead) but besides that this is obviously superb value

so i accidentally managed to end up in the top 20 players on the server for that game (which had like, at least 10k players) up till now despite not spending a cent on it

the music appears to have just come straight from the original phantom of the kill game it's based off so nothing special there (well, actually og phantom of the kill's soundtrack is actually really good but, like, y'know, it means this doesn't have an ost), also it is kinda uh.... very barebones, no story or anything, i think they just reused some of the systems from their failed sakura ignoramus game last year and took out any actual gameplay to make it an autobattler. despite this i can say i didn't outright dislike it, the rewards were solid (constantly being barraged by "surprise sales" to get character shards for like $50 aside), since it just gives you like 150 gacha rolls as free rewards in the first few hours. also yeah the blockchain and nft elements are tied to the game but not like directly in it (breathes a sigh of relief)

anyway i got a playtest invite for a certain other game so i guess i have an excuse to abandon it lol

i'm keeping my fingers crossed the elements are limited to just "you can turn your gacha characters into nfts" (i've actually tried another one that had this out of the blue, of course i didn't use the feature though) and not "this is absolutely going to murder my pc"

vanillaware apparently started working on it even before 13 sentinels so it'd be a disappointment if it wasn't at least that lol

it may have seemed like a silly statement at the time but it's pretty obvious that they're serious about wanting to revitalise the strategy rpg genre or whatever the tagline was. albeit, more specifically parts that have actually died out (like ogre battle or growlanser, and even arguably valkyrie profile)

Death Trick Double Blind landed on the 14th (aka. the kinda empty week) so that makes it even more certain i'll be picking it up

by the way on a not march game note since i don't feel like bumping the february topic any more lol, i couldn't actually afford to pick up hebereke 2 straight away so i've only been playing astral party and turns out that's been very successful so far. has been peaking at 30k concurrent players on day 1 despite the online infrastructure for it not being capable of handling even close to that lol
