You do realize that a photo, which is literally a split second in time, would not show a motion trail from a bullet, as if it were a smoke trail, because bullets... Don't leave a trail through the air, and you wouldn't see a motion trail in a single photograph, right? Like, you do realize you're being duped, right? Such a trail would only appear through water, or another, thicker, substance. Not in literally the air.

Yeah, there's not going to be a wave, precisely for the same reason that there wasn't a wave the last time they predicted it: Trump is already at about 100% turnout. The issue for him is his maximum amount of voters isn't enough, and he relies entirely on the left not turning out enough, which is precisely why they're fighting so hard to limit voting, in the first place. They know this.

The problem for Trump has literally always been number of people that can turn out, not turnout itself.

The difference between the right and left is that the right ALWAYS turns out, the left doesn't. Thus, I don't believe in fears that this "energizes" his base, because they were already going to show up. It's the left that struggles to get people to show.

I fall into that timeline where, we knew LATER that covid was already being transferred from person to person, we just didn't know how much/how rapidly. I got sick early January 2020, and it didn't really become a known "Oh shit it's here" thing until later January 2020. My doctor can only guess, based on symptoms/timing/etc., I obviously didn't get tested at the time, since testing wasn't a thing, but... Yeah. And then the cough issue just makes them more sure, since they're like "Yeah this is probably related to long covid." But, like you said, we can't really nail down a treatment plan/cure, we just revolve around "Well, it's not life threatening, and here's how you can kinda minimize it."

I feel for everybody going through anything long covid related. We're still at the point where they really have no idea how to properly treat things or what to expect.

My doctor is convinced I caught it back before we realized covid was actually a thing, since I went to a hockey game and got super sick and felt like I was going to die for a few days and then suddenly felt fine. Since then, though, I've got this cough that just literally has never gone away. It's not an all day thing, it's not consistent, it tends to only happen after I've been sitting for awhile, or if I change temperatures real quickly, and so on, because I get super mucous-y, and they've already ruled out allergies, so their best guess is "I already thought you had covid so honestly this is probably long covid."

I'm otherwise fine and the cough doesn't seem like it's anything deeper other than my body kinda being a jerk at times and being like "HAVE SOME MUCOUS" but

What I'm trying to say is, I feel ya.

Yeah, it always baffles me how few people that complain about the term "soccer" appear to know Americans didn't come up with it, in the first place. Americans literally use it exactly how the British did: To differentiate between different kinds of "football," hence "rugger" and "soccer."

Sorry, I misread their post, but it's specifically because it was a man, the production manager, who said that, not the armorer, and thus I took "his" as meaning the armorer in question.

The armorer never raised those concerns, somebody else did. The entire case against the armorer was specifically because she failed to maintain gun safety and gun safety training, not that she accused others of doing so.

So, yes, I did read it wrong, but it's because the facts don't line up with what the post was saying, and thus I accidentally substituted things in.

The only training that didn't happen, per the armorer's request, was training with a minor, which couldn't happen due to insurance reasons, and had nothing to do with Alec being trained. And the training for the minor was apparently deemed unnecessary since they wouldn't be handling a gun.

EDIT: I think I see the confusion. I guess the armorer did claim training days were denied, but that's when it was brought up that the training was with a minor. The production manager saying the armorer passed on training was apparently a different incident all together. So, yeah, that's my bad.

It's still a concern, since recruiters will absolutely put pressure on those that score well to enlist, and we should absolutely be concerned about the government/military trying to influence young people like that, but it's not quite mandatory enlisting.

Also, to be fair, TC is jumping the gun here, a bit.

Project 2025 isn't (yet) pushing for mandatory enlisting.

They are, however, pushing for every student in public school to be required to take the military entrance exams, which doesn't mean you're automatically enlisted, but it does mean you'll be heavily targeted by recruiters if you score well.

The obvious fear is in potentially putting that kind of pressure on a young person, and that they may be persuaded to make a poor choice in enlisting that they wouldn't have made, otherwise.

I'm not really sure that refutes what was said, though? Whether it was meant to be more "boring" or not, the fact is... It WAS more boring, and thus is viewed a bit negatively since it followed such a great arc.

It wasn't necessarily bad writing or anything, it just... Is what it is. Of course a cooldown arc is going to be viewed more negatively than the arc it follows, especially if people are especially fond of that previous arc. That's true of any anime.

EDIT: There may be confusion. I'm not saying it was like, extraordinarily bad or anything. I'm just saying anything more slow, especially something designed to be, following something like Water 7/Enies Lobby, is naturally going to be viewed more negatively in comparison. That doesn't mean it's bad, it just means... It did its job, and it's job was to feel kinda... Bloaty/filler-ish, to cool people down.

The blame doesnt lie entirely on him, but as a producer, had he not chosen to cut corners, this could have been avoided.

The armorer was a woman, first of all.

Second, it was a production manager who says they heard about misfires, but late, and indirectly, specifically because the armorer in question hid that information from them.

The armorer was an inexperienced nepotism hire that barely did her job and literally brought live ammunition on to the set for "target practice" in between takes.

So, yes, as a producer, Baldwin absolutely should have either not hired her, or if he didn't, directly, should have had her removed.

However, that has nothing to do with this case, because this case wasn't about that.

Basically, though, you may want to revisit what you think you know about this case.

Will never understand the hate for Thriller Bark, it is a great wind down after the emotions of Enies Lobby.

As somebody just getting through the series right now, I absolutely don't hate Thriller Bark, I just feel like it's the victim of following Water 7/Enies Lobby, which is just fantastic, and compared to that, it does definitely feel kinda... Slower?

I really enjoyed that arc in general. I'm watching the anime, and I'm... I think halfway through Doflamingo and I do think I'm starting to notice where this is going to drag on, but I'm still enjoying it so far.

Cases like this are what happens when a prosecutor cares more about taking a wild swing for their career, over actually seeking any kind of justice.

What's even the last big example of a prosecutor calling themself as a witness?
