The prosecution directed police to file evidence under a different case number and claimed it wasnt material. Then when caught the prosecutor called herself as a witness, that is fucking nuts.

Holy shit, I completely overlooked this.

The court discussed the defense's motion in the absence of the jury. In an unexpected move, the special prosecutor on the case, Kari Morrissey, also called herself to testify on the matter.
During cross-examination of Morrissey, it was revealed that the other prosecutor in the case, Erlinda Ocampo Johnson, resigned from the case on Friday. Morrissey said it was because Johnson "didn't agree with the decision to have a public hearing."

That's literally insane. So insane, that the other prosecutor resigned over it.

Just... Wow.

EDIT: Quoted the wrong person. Oops.

TC has always been a troll, atleast on this board and 261. Part of their act is posting really ridiculous stuff for a few months, then posting literally the exact opposite.

For example, for most of last year they were posting "The south is the worst! Does the south deserve to exist? Should we nuke Texas?" topics, and then toward the end of the year they started posting "Too many people hate the south! The south is the best! Why do people hate Texas?" topics.

It's been out for almost two months, to be fair. Isn't that about what the average song lasts, toward the top of the charts? I don't know, to be fair, I haven't exactly kept up. It just felt to me like artists today push a single for about a month or so and then push the next one.

EDIT: Basically, I thought the point was being on the chart at all, not necessarily about how high the song is, unless it's #1, and it's why they push "Weeks on the chart" as such a big metric.

Those games were already translated, just unreleased. It's why they were available in English via emulation for so long. I don't believe there has been an example of them actually translating a game recently.

That said, I'd support this if it was an RPG or something, but from what it appears, there's very little actual reason to need to be able to read anything to play these games.

To be fair, it's literally a local news station breaking news segment, so it's very possible they saw it on their own TV and decided to share it.

It's easy enough to Google based on the title and find the articles.

I absolutely agree about being anti-video if it's one of those... Youtuber reacts kind of things, but linking to actual news station videos seems alright enough.

Did they really, though, or just the Final Fantasy team?

It feels like there's a more varied array of turn-based games than there ever has been before. Are there as many in overall number? Maybe not. But the range of options has definitely grown. You have your traditional Dragon Quest, you have Marvel jumping into the fray over a few games, you have Yakuza/Like a Dragon, etc. and so on.

I think what really makes the combat in 7 and 8 feel great is that it captures the oomph of each attack. I can feel it every time Kasuga goes in to do a follow-up with his bat on a knocked down enemy. It just looks and feels so satisfying.

For sure. I think the way LAD animates the battles is very effective, in particular. Everybody is moving around, even when it's not their turn, and the characters will do follow-up attacks without your input, sometimes because you leveled them up enough, or sometimes because... You knocked the enemy in their direction, so they reacted. It makes it feel very alive.

I think it's very telling that, despite initial backlash over Yakuza/Like a Dragon going from an action game to a turn-based JRPG style game, the direct sequel to said first JRPG game in the series... Was the fastest selling in the history of the series.

This case was terrible from the start. No matter how you feel about what happened, he was never guilty, as an actor, directly. Actors are always the absolute last line of knowing if/when a gun may be loaded/malfunctioning/etc., there should be several people in front of them.

Charging him as a producer obviously had much, much more teeth, since it could be argued he had some say over how the set was run, who was hired, etc. and so on. This case in particular, though, just seemed vindictive from the start, and/or the prosecutor thought they could become a star.

Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer dismissed the case with prejudice based on the misconduct of police and prosecutors over the withholding of evidence from the defense in the shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film Rust.

...Yeah, this seems like a pretty big deal. If police and prosecutors were literally withholding evidence, and destroyed the gun, as stated above, then... That's a problem.

That said, it feels like this case was doomed from the start, since they weren't attempting to charge him for his role as a producer, they were literally trying to charge him directly for the shooting, for being negligent. That was pretty much always a non-starter, no matter how you feel about the whole situation. The fact they then apparently withheld evidence is... Not good.

My ears used to get clogged up easily several years ago, and I'd have to get them flushed out. My doctor suggested I clean them with q-tips/cotton swabs, which is normally frowned upon since people do it wrong and either damage their ear or push the wax in worse, but they showed me how to do it. I don't put the swab in very far, and I twist it as I do, which causes it to kinda catch the wax that's deeper in and pull some of it out. Not completely, but enough to keep it under control.

I'm not at all suggesting doing this, just saying what ended up working for me.

I could absolutely see this being a situation like that Naruto game where it added rather substantial DLC as "Road to Boruto" or whatever.

How upset I am or not will depend entirely on how many characters they include. Previous games had "lesser" characters like Ikkaku and Yumichika. If it still gives me characters like that... Alright, cool.

Also, let's get Ganju in a non-Nintendo game, please! I think he has literally only appeared in the DS and Wii games, which meant touch screen and waggle.
