Artificial intelligence has invented two new potential antibiotics that could kill drug-resistant gonorrhoea and MRSA, researchers have revealed.
The drugs were designed atom-by-atom by the AI and killed the superbugs in laboratory and animal tests

Researchers have previously used AI to trawl through thousands of known chemicals in an attempt to identify ones with potential to become new antibiotics.

The two compounds still need years of refinement and clinical trials before they could be prescribed.
But the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) team behind it say AI could start a "second golden age" in antibiotic discovery.

Antibiotics kill bacteria, but infections that resist treatment are now causing more than a million deaths a year. Now, the MIT team have gone one step further by using generative AI to design antibiotics in the first place for the sexually transmitted infection gonorrhoea and for potentially-deadly MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus).

This is the sort of thing that we should be using AI for and not generating pictures of monkeys.

This. The PS3's security is busted right open so there's not much a patch can do to stop it at this point. Same with the Vita. The patches are usually only for the blu-ray player.

Ugh that title. It bugs me when something is labeled incorrectly when it comes to retro gaming. It says "64" but it started with SNES graphics, and went past the N64 to the GCN.

Reminds me of a song that was labeled something like "8-bit memories" but then proceeded to play SNES sound effects in its intro.

Farage will say anything to get elected, but it's in his (and his party's nature considering it's made up of ex-Tories who came up with the idea in the first place) to keep it in place. Scrapping it opens them to to criticism of not thinking about the children. If anything, they'll push harder for more sites to be blocked such as LGBT support sites. The far right would love more control over what their citizens see and I don't see why Reform would be any different, they're only saying this to get elected.

As much as I hate the word, Farage is a grifter following the MAGA playbook. He's already come out to say that gay marriage was a mistake and implementing Doge in the UK is a priority.

It's quite likely considering the rumours we've been hearing. Sony are also bringing in power saving modes for PS5, where the console will run games at a lower resolution in order for the console to use less energy - this is perfect for a handheld.

I assume it'll arrive around the time the PS6 launches as a companion device.

It starts off well, I think the first three levels are good but it starts to go downhill from there.

Xbox has started to block people from playing games online in the UK unless they can prove they're over 18 and have plans to bring it to more countries "soon".
