This might make sense if like the majority were eligible for asylum, but only about 30% are approved, and that's for affirmative, which you have to come through a port for. The majority cross illegally, which is defensive, which has an approval rate of around 15%.

People don't want to blow billions in local and state taxpayer money like here in NYC on people that may be asylum seekers, especially while recovering from a pandemic. Nor do they want to import poverty from other countries and increase competition in the poorest neighborhoods.

Yeah, in February 2024, after several years of record shattering numbers, and only when the polls were looking bad for Biden. A bill with numerous issues, and where going by CBP numbers, would not have triggered the restrictions between February and June. Legalizing marijuana has literally no electoral effect whatsoever. Multiple states have legalized it. Hochul did it and it got her zero votes. Biden rescheduled it and it got him zero votes. Complete non-issue in America.

Hold on, this isnt adding up. If only 1 million less people voted, then how did Trump get 2 million less and Harris get 14 million less? Theres no way that third parties got 15 million votes.

edit: AP is reporting that Trump got about 73mil, Harris got 68mil, and third parties collectively got 2mil. That only adds up to 143, and the site you linked says 158.

They still have a lot of votes left to count.

I did not say voter turnout is the sole reason Kamala lost. So when talking about reasons why Kamala lost, none of my post discussing a particular area is claiming thats the sole reason she lost. She lost for over several reasons.

But this idea that people staying home is not one of the reasons, is just false. People staying home that leans to your side, is not in anyway a boon.

Unless the numbers actually hit the same numbers of voters from 2024 overall, not theoretically, but actually.... voter turnout went down. Voter turnout being down means less people voted, and worse it appears voter turnout showed up mostly for the Orange Messiah.

Turnout went down, not up.
Trump in 2020 got approx 74 million votes.
Trump in 2024 has approx 72 million votes
Biden in 2020 got approx 82 million votes
Kamala in 2024 has approx 68 million votes rounding up.

Mathematically even IF you try to argue some votes flipped to Trump to claim millions didnt stay home, the math still isn't mathing. Trump went from 74 to 72. Democrats went from 82 to 68.

The math shows we had people who voted Dem in 2020, stay home in 2024 into the millions.

Those are not final numbers. They're still counting.

Kind of sucks that I can't build a viable flight plan from my local airport to ISP (it just keeps wanting me to go to JFK or LGA).

If I want to fly to ISP I have to go from Orlando (although it is a direct flight).

Is there a reason you're trying to go to MacArthur and not JFK or LGA?
