Going into a fucking loop in Tama and Minorikawa's 13.00-14.00 segment. The lack of skipping previously read text is really killing my interest in continuing on.

the first 3 hours of the in-game time. I'm about 12 hours in and am literally about to call it quits (at 13:00-14:00 o' clock segments in the game)

This game came up on my radar after a lot of people rated it very highly in the rate the VG story topics. I remember this one in particular catching my eye because it was ranked right next to Judgment and that game has one of my favorite stories in gaming.

Well on to topic, the game got off to a very intriguing start but then the pacing goes absolutely out of whack bananas after about the 2nd in-game hour. Too many chases too many ridiculous pointless bad endings. Stuff and story arcs about underage gang members (lol). Meaningless slice of boring life expositions prime example being that fat girl who can eat 5000 calories in a single meal, failed attempt at psychological horror with that douchebag Kashiwara. Just too many things where they drop the ball with comedy, psychology and entertainment.

For the characters, I think all of them are ok-good except Tama (and I seriously suspect her identity to be Maria given how they are going out of their way to hide her appearance). Her segment with all the juvenile comedy and the motive being a fundraiser for a fucking necklace is the killer for me so far.

I do think the game can be great when it hits its stride though. Osawa's story is really really interesting (except for the Kashiwagi shit) for one. The stuff about the UA virus is the most intriguing part of the game. Minorikawa is a very entertaining character stuck in a meaningless plotline at the moment. Kano's detective perspective in the story is great when it is not sidetracked by goofiness. And Achi and Hitomi's steadily developing relationship is done well when they aren't in endless chases and the lol pre pubescent gangs of Japan storyline.

So I really wanna ask the people who rated the game in the VG story topic, does this get better in context of what I have said? Does the game's pacing get better, does the overall storyline become more serious and intriguing rather than just beating around the bush with endless chases and meaningless juvenile comedy that take up about half of the story's content?

VII is a really really long game. My PS1 save file was something like 220 hours. The 3DS version is faster and better (from what I have seen) but I haven't completed it.

I'll never play FFXIV again because ARR reminded me why I don't play MMOs anymore. Such a fucking slog yet honestly it was less of a slog than WoW which I played a lot of, a decade and a half ago.

So the top spot as long as an MMO takes it, is always gonna be invisible to my eyes.

Well at least I learned a lesson from betting for England in Euro 2020 and renounced betting in football matches ever again.

The defender with the blatant grab and shove which lead to the penalty was the worst thing ever. France had no momentum at all at that time. The Mbappe penalty changed the game because it ripped Messi's soul apart. Messi was playing like a god till that goal.

The stinger is Messi would have been hands down undisputed GOAT if they held the lead and won 2-0.

Now not only did Mbappe score twice and snatch the golden boot honors but France thoroughly embarrassed Argentina in the last 18 minutes that they played and looks more dangerous and likely to win.

I am not really even a big Messi fan (I do like him more than most other Star players though) and completely neutral to Argentina but even I feel like he deserved what would have been the perfect swansong to his International career.

I don't follow American Football so no idea what that is.

Messi with golden boot and a 2-0 lead cruising to the trophy and one fuck up costs them and lights a fire up a team that has been literally asleep for 80mins' ass.

Literally the only thing worse in sports is Nadal eclipsing Federer's Slam count (which ended up happening) and fucking Portal winning a WC in the future.

France winning after being absolutely outplayed for 80mins means I don't ever need to see Football again.

Uhh the Berserker fights were great. The only annoying thing about the Surtr challenges was you have to keep doing the minor challenge to unlock the big challenges. Don't make me replay the easy, boring challenges!

This exactly.

I personally liked the Berserker fights more than the Valkyries from GoW2018 because it felt more varied.

And the Surtr Trials aren't any worse than they were in GoW2018 where you had to repeat previous challenges you have already completed.
