Tactics Ogre is amazing. Already played it on PSP, though!

The Reborn version destroys the PSP version which destroyed the PS1 and SNES version. Which says new is better.

Speaking of which, I finally completed Tactics Ogre because Reborn ironed out all the bullshit and grinding from the PSP version.

Dial of Destiny is such a dumb name for a subtitle. It sounds like something you'd see on a spoof movie.

But then there are people who defend something like Fire Emblem Engage by saying "aww ya jes hatin', it's not bad". People just have double standards when it comes to things they want to like and don't. This is not directed at you so don't misunderstand.

Maybe I shot myself in the foot here by using Horizon as an example. I meant something on the level of say a Red Dead Redemption or like I already mentioned, The Last of Us. I'm not counting Demon's, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro or Elden Ring because those games are too similar to be given the distinction of brand new IPs. If those count then obviously Elden Ring wins by a landslide.

I really wanted this game to do well but like most original IPs of late, it fails to set the world on fire.

Was The Last of Us (or Horizon to a much lesser extent) the last big original IP or am I forgetting something?

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

People online these days will complain about anything that requires them to have an attention span more than that of a goldfish. Ironwood is a fantastic deviation from the main quest. First of all, we are exploring Jotun-fucking-heim. A realm in which we thought all the giants were dead in the previous game. Exploring and taking in the flora of fauna was breathtaking. The dialogue between Atreus and Angrboda came off very natural like between two people who have instant chemistry. And the boss battle was amazing. I absolutely loved everything about that part.

I couldn't stop laughing at the trailer being a 'highlight' reel for the game's entire story. Imagine watching that without having played the game beforehand.

Lol sales numbers are out and it's something like 10 millon units in 3 days. Fastest selling Nintendo title or something something. Likely gonna overtake Elden Ring, a once in a lifetime caliber video game, within a month.

Maybe we'll have a Pokemon game that has production values and runs like a current gen video game during our grand children's lifetime when ThePokemonCompany has amassed 10 trillion in revenue.

Seems like it. We've had some weird upsets out of nowhere and mostly at the well renowned JRPGs' expense.

Kept me intrigued throughout its 150 hour journey. Some of the most memorable side quests in a video game, a great cast of characters with so much character development, innovative and well executed lore and overall just an amazing story.

What are you talking about. This game had insane hype leading up to its release and is one of the most anticipated video game sequels considering how GoW 2018 ended on such a cliffhanger with so much world building and mysteries left to uncover.

This game is the talk everywhere amongst my friends, most of whom are not more than casual gamers at best.

Game 100% complete. It literally says so on the screen lol. Ended up getting the platinum as well.

Yes I did it. I think Sigrun was harder overall than Gna because the timing window for dodging the Valhalla stomp is much more lenient and it does less damage. And I tried out King Hrolf's relic which really melts her health bar.

Just a few more collectibles and I'm done with 100%.

Beat Berserker King by the skin of my teeth and now New Valkyrie Queen is kicking my ass.
