So when it comes to farming crysts, specifically alcrysts, does using Xon, Croft, and Pod 153 actually hinder your acquistion?

I need 20 some odd Tech Alcrysts for Xon's Awakening for that Gil Finder thing, but I find that alcrysts in general are just a pain in the ass to farm.

The only STMR I'll have is Noctis'. I have 6 of him, and I think I'd rather have two 7*s and an STMR instead of three 7*s of him.

I need one more Balthier and Ace to get STMRs for either of them. Any other 7* I have ready to go, I only have 2 of the unit.

Dark Fina is the only one of that group of 7* starters that I can do.

I don't have her TMR, and I've never used her, so still on the fence if I really want to spend all the resources getting her there or just wait since I'll be for sure using Trance Terra's 7* and possibly BS Sakura's when they come around (and how many 7* Mages will I really need?).

Is it sad that Weapon enhancements don't really interest me at all at the moment? Like even after a weekend of Snappers, I still probably just plan on working on Story Event and maybe another Esper or Trial attempt.

Ace is god-tier considering his three elemental 75% imperials so that's nothing to complain about. A2 being benched though, why? are you going fists only with her, not taking advantage of her ability to equip greatswords? the best imperial for wind - on somebody worthwhile anyway - is Barbariccia but it's on her LB.

I use A2, her main equips are Excalibur and Aigaion Arm. I use Ace for the Imperil. I could maybe use 9S for imperiling Wind and drop the Excalibur for Beastlord or something too.

However, I have fully enhanced Tidus and Fryevia, and they can self imperil, and I wouldn't need Ace for Light, freeing up the spot for MS Nichol if I so choose.

Without imperiling Wind, I am not sure if A2 is really capable of dishing out the same damage as Fryevia unless she is berserked, but I am no math guru, so I'm assuming Fry does more damage currently given her Magic Based Dual Wield with self imperiling ability. Using Nichol over Ace would also mean higher stat buffs over buffing with Ayaka, and frees up Ayaka's turn 1 for whatever I else I could squeeze out of her.

I'm not bashing A2 at all, but for generalized content clearing potential, I'm not sure if the better generic setup is something like:

Ayaka
Basch
A2
Ace / 9S
Flex DPS
Friend Whatever fits with the team.

-or-

Ayaka
Basch
Fryevia
MS Nichol
Flex DPS (likely magical, like Trance Terra)
Friend Fryevia

...right now Group 2 looks better, hence why benching A2 might be something to consider.

I can only field 5 of my own units, and I have tons of choices. I can't really use everything awesome.

If it wasn't for Tri-Beam Laser +2 having such an amazing Imperil, I'd probably replace Ace with M.S.Nichol as well.

I'm just not sure how best to imperil for Thunder and Light for my Thundaja / Final Thunder Sakura casts and Excalibur chains. I still don't have a Wind imperil for A2 and Aigaion Arm either.

I might just give up on any chaining and imperiling other than Water and Ice since I can use Fry and Tidus and have them self imperil, and just use non-elemental damage spell casting. A2 being benched just cause I can't imperil elements for her seems pretty depressing though since she's the only unit I can break 1100 stat on.

What is the best Wind Imperil unit to pair with A2 using Aigaion Arm? Just realized I've never even thought of this until now.

My main chainers and/or imperils currently are:
Fryevia (Ice imperil)
Tidus (Water imperil)
Veritas of Dark (Dark imperil)
Ace (Imperils Fire, Thunder, and Light) for units using things like Excalibur

My other chainers don't have need of it I think, like Trance Terra and Grim Lord Sakura since they are non-elemental, and I don't think I've had any need of Earth imperiling yet.

I'm guessing that these enhancements don't stack if you are already at cap though, right? I can hit cap on just about any character that Dual Wields with a Large Sword and another bladed weapon, so getting the 15% Atk/Hp enhancement for Katanas probably isn't going to help me as much?

I was heavily considering pulling for the Awakened Rain, but I only have 7k Lapis, ~60 Tickets, and a dozen 4* tickets.

I think I'm probably going to hold off on pulling at all until Sieghart(sp?) comes around. Hopefully I'll be sitting on a mountain of summon tickets at that point and I can have a better chance at getting 2 of him for the superior 7* tank.

I don't usually worry about filling out my pokedex of ffbe units, or min maxing from banner to banner, so I'd rather go all in on long term goals.

On another note, I have been doing manual TMR farming for the past 3 months during times where I just don't care about what I spend my energy on. I can't Macro since I don't have a reliable computer, and I can't do FReps on my phone until I do, so I've done it with patience and persistence.

I just got two copies of Ring of Lucii, and 3 more are within 10% of being done!

My best flat attack accessories are Ifrit's Claw and Marshall Glove, which probably isn't a big deal since I'm not sure I'm making any use of TDH yet I think.

I have 1 Buster Style, 1 Marshall Glove, and 1 Doublehand, but the attack Stat is about the same for Tidus either way, so Dual Wield is probably better.

How am I hitting the 300% cap if I'm only hitting 180% with the materia, and 70% from his traits (sun crest 2 [+40%] and attack +30%)?

Maybe I'm not understanding the math. I don't think I've ever had to worry about hitting the Stat cap before.

Debating getting Soul of Thamasa on my next 100% Moogle. It's kind of garbage by the looks of it, but Trance Terra is probably going to my strongest 7* prospect and I'll want it when those release.

There are a ton of other things I still need though, so it'd be putting other currently better TMRs back, like Awesome Swordsman, Brotherhood, Arcturus, Save the Queen (IX), a second Needle, Dark Bond, Ziedrich, or Judge Helm, a lot of which are for other 7* prospects.

Also... A while back I used 100 trusts on a Marshal Glove and Buster Form, but wondering if Doublehand building is still worth it, though I'm missing another Marshal Glove still. I was debating Tidus or Balthier as my best candidates as they are also 7* prospects.

5k was huge... I got Loren, Aileen, and CG Lasswell. All four 5*s are firsts for me though.

Can anyone offer insight on Gladio 7* form?

I'm probably going to pull on the step up banners, but not sure if I should gamble on magic/tank hoping for Basch 2 if Gladio is a subpar 7* tank, or if I should go for attack banner which might have a chance at offering me a plethora of other options.

Knowing my luck, I'd pull my first Wilhelm and not a Basch, or another Gladio even, or just a slew of magic users lol, but it might be a worthwhile gamble if my tank slot is still up in the air for future content.

I haven't done the half price daily in a little over a month now. I don't pull heavily enough on banners to even feel confident with a 5% 5* rate, so I tuck the Lapis away and go for the sure things of like 10% Moogles or other bonuses.

I only spend tickets on individual summons for daily quests or if I'm in need of a bonus unit for events or something. Too much disappointment otherwise, and I'm not much of a gambler anyways.

I uninstalled last night. The end game grind was already rather intense, the latest update killed it for me eventually. I did about 30-40 BD runs and didn't get even one average good piece of gear. Kept getting multiple crit resist substats on dps gear, including one caster piece that had 3 Mag crit res and 1 phys crit res.

Burnt out as it was, when I saw that, I was just done.

I have 6 Noctis which is rather insane. Apparently the game wants me to have two 7*s and his Super TMR.

I'm lucky to have dupes of even a few other 5* bases, and then I'm just flooded with Noctii.

I'm always oblivious to some aspect of these hard fights, usually something I don't think about, but sometimes the obvious as well. I just noticed that it said Kain wasnt vulnerable to breaks, so that was probably a good part of my problem lol.

Edit: ^like you said. It also helped that my Marie was finally off expedition duty that I even gave her a try lol.

I was using 9S for breaks and DamRes. It was typically the jumps kept killing Basch even through Reraise, and spending turns to get him up meant loss of provokes.

I never got hit by any status ailments. It was usually just the jumps and party wide aoe damage that I couldn't keep up with. I was probably pushing his thresholds improperly too.

The new update might have accelerated my eventual end to this game.

Really, the best way to get gear now is the t6 legendary selectors when you can get them, and then manually awaken them up and tier ascend them twice. I hate dragons enough as is, farming for optimal equipment is just bonkers, and leveling low level option selected gear is such a hard grind.

Didn't Chris Hardwick just get married to his long time girlfriend? How long ago did Chloe and Chris break up? Not that the described behavior is justifiable, but this could simply be another attempt to bandwagon a current hot topic and might be a bit blown out of proportion for publicity sake.
