evidence of Toast's alleged stalking:

https://twitter.com/disguisedtoast/status/720824945782050816

but seriously, unless you have some genuine events or accusations to point to, those are all pretty absurd things to say

Toast is a pretty socially awkward guy who likes to poke fun about how inept he is at interaction with people in general, and the opposite sex in particular. He doesn't encourage his chat when it makes comments about how he should make moves on girls he streams with sometimes like Hafu, But he does make a lot of jokes at his own expense on the subject.

He gives off the impression of a shy nerd who's afraid of actually interacting with people, but I've never seen anything to indicate he'd actually do anything "creepy"

I've watched a lot of casual streams and videos from events and the overarching story is that Toast is somewhat passive about interacting with people but a lot of the more socially savvy personalities like Natalie and Brian Kibler seem to make it their mission to draw Toast out of his shell and get him to be part of all the socializing. For his part, he isn't too resistant but is clearly just not comfortable behaving in an extroverted manner. He's pretty much a wallflower, but I think that will change as he gets more used to being in situations like that. It seems pretty clear he just hasn't had a lot of experience in social situations like parties IRL before. With people like the Kiblers looking out for him, I think he'll just get better at that sort of thing over time

A neat example to see how Toast behaves in situations is this behind the scenes video from The Bahamas HCT earlier this year (Trump is a beauty in this)

Also lately I've seen Toast stream with Renniesaurus for Battlerite, and with Pokimane, LilyPIchu, and some others in League. He's also moved into a streamer house with those league streamers. I haven't heard anything bad happening with any of these people so... where does all this "stalker" stuff come from?

Kill all of his minions.

oh yeah, practical advice. definitely kill minions, especially high mana cost low health minions before he evolves. if he dopplegangsters, the priority is to kill the two he doesn't evolve, not the new big monster he created. He'll often play minions with bad deathrattles like bombsquad - kill these asap if he doesnt evolve them right away.

It's not that hard. He creates value every turn by evolving but every boss creates value in some way, either by pelitng you with damage or by creating a 5/5 or whatever. You just have to keep up with value.

I just lost to him on my first paladin run at 7/8 though so fuck that guy he's impossible

I strongly believe in universal health care. It's one of the most important services a government should even be there for.

If something life endangering happens to you, you should be able to seek medical aid without fear of it ruining your life financially or some other way.

The idea that if you suffer some kind of medical crisis in the US, you are faced with the dilemma of potentially owing tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars if you go the hospital is insane. Like how is that possibly the state of affairs there?

If you are literally dying it's not a choice at all. The whole process makes no sense to me.

In all of the Star Wars content I've consumed over the years, It's almost always the case that the apprentice kills the master.

Sith are self motivated. Why would they care about something like the "long term survival / victory of the Sith". Their entire premise is that they act solely for their own dark desires.

this is a new video (it's newer than this topic!) showing all the things that changed from Lucas's early cut of A New Hope to the release

where did they get all this footage from the early cut? I've never even heard of a lot of this stuff. Treadwell? What the fuck is that?

I'd always heard that a talented group of people had taken George's mess of a movie to fix ANH and Empire into the masterpieces they are, but this really sells it.

Pushed him into fatigue and he had two cards left. but I was just barely out of gas and eventually ran out of options against his hero power. It's so much value. So I just barely lost after he was at fatigue with 2 cards in his hand that he cuoldn't play. Fun game.

And then I got absolutely nothing for it

The stuff in Shadesmar was okay. It was neat seeing a different aspect of the world, but it wasn't too exciting there either.

The only really good part of Kholinar was Shallan's arc. As stupid as her time consuming plot was, her fuck up actually made sense for the character and did a great job growing her, and her scenes with Wit were great.

I actually wish I'd reread Words of Radiance because I didn't have a completely clear idea of how we left her mentally after that book, and her fragile state of mind would have been even better with that context. As it is, her hiding from the truths of her past and hiding herself within her disguises was great. Adolin seeing through her disguises actually made the relationship pretty endearing. I'd say Shallan is definitely one of the high points of this book.

Azure was cool. It was great having Vivenna back. I'm curious what's going on with her shardblade. Is it sentient like Nightblood? Is it a more refined version? Perhaps a weaker but more stable version? I'm curious to see where she goes. Obviously she should have come with the group and she would have reunited with both Vasher and Nightblood but oh well, I'm sure we'll see her again soon.

The setting for the final battle was kind of dumb. I REALLY dislike the "k I'm just gonna mind control your whole army" thing. It's sooo goddamn cheap. He can just take all your guys no problem. Easy win! If they were actually willing like Amaram, that's one thing. But just being angry? Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Even with the Thrill I don't like it.

Dalinar did have some great flashback stuff. The Rift was awesome both times. Really good stuff there, even though many of his flashbacks were kinda generic.

He was a straight up G in the climax. I thought the idea of him being Odium's champion was pretty dumb. I was like "okay this is a stupid idea, obviously he wouldn't WANT to be the champion, and if it actually happens that would be completely fucking stupid." But I couldn't help but be excited when he resisted and had that one glory spren in his fist. Then he partially ascended and told Odium to go fuck himself.

Even though his content was mostly boring for the first half of the book, I don't know why anybody would hate Dalinar. He's totally badass. I do like the very big contrast we see of how brutish and selfish he was in the past, compared to the regal general we've been seeing since the first book. It's almost hard to believe it's the same guy, but I guess that's why he's our hero and also why Odium wanted him. It's too bad for him that Cultivation personally took an interest in growing Dalinar into someone who could resist Odium.

Szeth was cool. Nightblood was cool. Lift was awesome. Nale is stupid as fuck. I'm tired of that guy being stupid as fuck about everything. After Lift's scenes with him in Edgedancer, his new resolve is just fucking stupid.

The Bridge Four scenes were okay. Like they were fun, but since so little was happening for how long this book was, I don't think we needed hangout chapters like those. I already love Bridge Four. It's not like I need to be convinced to like them.

Renarin was meh. Jasnah might be the most physically capable fighter in the series. Even Dalinar and Kaladin might get fucked up by her. When Amaram threatened her and she took a fighting stance and was like "oh yes, give me a reason, bitch" I was so on board for an asswhooping.

I don't know what else I want to talk about. Feel free to ask me about things.

Okay, here's my thoughts on the book

This book was too long. Brandon told us how insanely long it was and I got hyped, because an even longer version of WoR or WoK? Sign me up!

But it doesn't utilize the length.

I felt like nothing noteworthy or interesting happened for the first 50-70%of the book. It was just Dalinar giving a very poor attempt at politics, Kaladin hanging out with his old homies and some parshmen, and Dalinar flashbacks of how he conquered Alethkar with Gavilar. The Dalinar flashbacks kinda cool, but a lot of them felt very by the numbers. We were just going through the motions of some generic fighting.

The only really interesting thing was Shallan and her split personalities, and her hunt and vanquishing of the unmade in Urithiru.

The worst part about all this, is that it seemed so clear to me that they needed to be DOING SOMETHING. Hey, a backwards storm swept through the world and ruined literally everything. You currently believe that red eyed void bringers like you fought in the Shattered Plains appeared in every city and town. If you just sit in your tower and try to play politics, the world will literally not survive another week. You can't just chill and play house. GO DO SOMETHING. Instead they spend weeks just hanging out.

Like some of the high princes were just chilling in the warcamps still and weren't joining Dalinar in Urithiru. So.... not even THOSE guys are gonna march their army back to Alethkar and help their populace thats destroyed by the Everstorm and besieged by Voidbringers?

It just felt so stupid.

Then they decide "okay hey lets try and take back Kholinar before the void bringer army gets there, how does three weeks from now sound???" Like bitch, get to Kholinar NOW

So the Kholinar arc begins. And goddamnit it's more of the same. Okay, so a void bringer army is coming, and there's all these mysteries! Who's running the wall, what is with the Cult of Moments, what's going on in the palace? What are the remaining lords doing? Let's split up and spend weeks hanging out and maybe we'll figure it out!

Seriously, what the fuck. The void bringer army is coming. Like, bitch, storm the goddamn palace.

Every single time someone would learn something new, they'd be like "wow, lets see what I can do with this information TOMMORROW?? it's bed time now though!" and I'd tear my hair out.

Kaladin on the wall was the worst. He had a pretty clear idea of what kind of person Azure was... and instead of confronting her, he just chills with her guards for a few days... and then confronts her anyways. Why did he not just do this three days ago? Once he does, she just lets him take 500 dudes to go storm the goddamn palace immediately.

But of course it's too late, the void bringer army is here. Because you've been fucking around for MONTHS for no reason.

Seriously, I do not understand how Sanderson story boarded this. The attempt to retake the city was a complete failure because the characters acted uncharacteristically stupid. Would they have been able to overcome the Unmade without the void bringer army attacking? Hard to say... but it was super fucking hopeless once they waited for the void bringers to attack. At the very least, Elhokar would have survived that shit.

Killing Elhokar there was dumb as hell too. I don't mind him dying in general but wow does it make the climax of WoR feel worthless when they let Moash just kill him so soon after.

Honestly this is all such a disaster.

Even with Wit and Vivenna doing everything they can to hold this city, the main characters colossally fuck it up.

Also I was wondering, are you familiar with Overwatch and all the animated shorts? If not I'd be super interested in seeing your reactions and writeups to those bad boys. If you are familiar then nvm carry on.

i'm not, but isn't overwatch a video game and not a TV show?

I've been meaning to respond to this since this was when I went on my trip

Yeah, it is a video game. But they've been making short form episodes called Animated Shorts to flesh out the characters and show important events in the game's lore.

Overwatch is a team based shooter like Team Fortress 2, with unique characters with very unique abilities and designs. The game is pretty much just objective based multiplayer matches like escort the payload or capture the point type game modes, but there's no story mode or anything. The only in game lore comes from the banter the characters have and the details found in the in game maps (which is all kicked up a level from TF2)

Since the game isn't really telling the story behind these characters, they decided to use cinematic Pixar quality level videos.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with Blizzard, but they have always been very highly regarded for their cinematics. They are basically the best in the business at it, and they've been doing it since the late 90ies when CGI looked terrible. But their videos up until now have always been either cinematic hype trailers for a new game, or excerpts of a scene in a game that could be better shown in a cinematic, and thus is very dependent on the context of the game.

This means the videos were very high quality and showed something really cool, but didn't really tell complete stories. Just cool snippets of a story.

EXAMPLES OF HIGH QUALITY (you don't have to watch these, they are just examples of what they are capable of)
World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth trailer (the newest one they've made)

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King trailer (my favourite)

Starcraft: Kerrigan at New Gettysburg (a very classic and pivotal moment for a huge character in Starcraft)

Even the best examples of their cinematics like these are only a few minutes, and don't really tell too much of a story.

But they realized that with Overwatch's lack of an ingame story, they could take their skill making cinematics to make fleshed out animated shorts. These still aren't super long, but they are easily over double the length of their usual cinematics, typically about 8 minutes, and that gives them more room to breathe and tell a story. They provide backstory to the world, they offer some characterization, and sometimes have cool fight scenes.

That's why it'd be fun to see your thoughts about these cinematics, since you love to break down narrative choices, so your analysis on these shorts would be neat.

If your interested, these are the first few

The first one is a bit more like their usual trailers, since this was what was originally showed to us when they first announced the game at Blizzcon. It was described as The Incredibles meets Team Fortress 2, which I think is pretty apt.

Overwatch Cinematic Trailer

These next two are more like the rest of the shorts, though they feature the same characters the cinematic trailer. The later ones use many different characters

"Recall"

"Alive"

If this sounds interesting and you enjoy these first videos, I'll make a list of the order of all the others to watch. If it all sounds lame, then pls ignore

So I just got to the chapter with Dalinar, Evi, and the Rift.

Maybe I am just a cynical bastard but...

...Dalinar as completely justified? He came and offered Tanalan a chance to stand down. Tanalan proceeded to betray Dalinar, killing most of his elites and almost killing him in brutal, cowardly fashion.

Like if you're a leader and you pull something like that against the motherfucking Blackthorn, you are basically sacrificing your people if things don't work out.

I didn't mind at all the fact that he set the Rift on fire. Tanalan's fault. I know you're supposed to view the chapter as "Oh god Dalinar no please stop!" but I was rooting for him to burn them all. Maybe I'm just sadistic.

Also, Sanderson doesn't really develop Evi enough for me to care all that much about what happens to her. I feel for Dalinar and all but at the same time it was just... she was rushed, I think.

Yeah it's definitely fucked up to think that way

The normal response is "Tanalan is a fucking idiot, of *course* this was going to cause the Blackthorn to massacre your people and kill your children" not "Hell yeah Dalinar, burn those fucking kids"

I'm sure Disney will be thrilled to hear Star Wars equated to Joe Camel.

In fairness, there are several mobile Marvel games with loot boxes that might fall foul of this too, depending on whether they plan to hit F2P stuff as well.

There are *tons* of games that have been implementing this since Blizzard perfected it in Hearthstone and Overwatch. Most of them won't suffer public backlash in particular even if they are affected by legislation. Star Wars is just because Battlefront 2 is so big and widely publicized about it.

It's hilarious that Star Wars was the game that pushed it too far and ruined it for everyone.

I forget the details but I distinctly remember Eshonai's mind railing helplessly against the spren controlling her body. It wasn't Eshonai doing anything after the major personality shift. I can't remember if it was just stormform or not though.

There are certainly forms of depression he lines up with but they are emotional problems you would deal with in therapy, not medical problems you would treat by "curing" it.

Syl is basically his therapist.

Radiata Stories was a really cool game and I'd love a new game like that. Skies of Arcadia too, though the battle systems weren't the same

MM isn't a recruitment rpg in the slightest and man that is such silly stretch to try to make. You're just collecting items . It's not even a fringe example.

Series prediction based on the first and second Interludes with ~~~~Venli~~~~

Like others have said, I really doubt Eshonai's contribution to the present is finished. She's likely getting a flashback book, but I strongly doubt she won't contribute to the present. I'm about 80% sure she's coming back, and it's because of the light Venli saw under her corpse. It's not the first time a book flashback character died and came back somehow, so she might pull it off with whatever that light is. If she doesn't get a full resurrection somehow, then I think she'll come back as a spren to guide Venli, like how the voidbringers are. I doubt she'll possess anyone but she can follow Venli around and guide her like a Radiant's spren.

Though personally I hope she makes a full comeback. I like Eshonai, and I don't really like Venli. I'd prefer Eshonai big time.

One thing that kind of gets me is that Stormlight doesn't cure Kaladin's depression. We know it can cure brain damage, so is Sanderson depression is an entirely mental problem with no physical component? Same with various characters' addictions.

This is a very weird view on depression

Kaladin isn't clinically depressed from the chemical imbalance in his brain

Kaladin is disillusioned from lots of bad things happening in his life. He's reluctant to trust or believe in things because of those seriously really bad things and some bad things that continue to happen.

Kaladin actually does get happy all the time from little things please him, whether its hanging out with Bridge Four, chatting with Shallan or Adolin, finding his parents alive, or just with Syl being Syl. There's nothing wrong with him. He's just a man who experiences emotion, and he's experienced a lot of hardship.

Stormlight washing that sadness away would be... so wrong. It would just make him numb to the bad experiences of his life. Should it still other negative emotions like anger or hatred too?

Kaladin would be little better off than Teft if Stormlight worked that way.
