I dont know why people hate the lootboxes so much. It funds free content and you can still get most of what you want without paying.

Other than the unrealistic concept of an online multiplayer game that receives regular updates being $60 once and getting updates for free forever, Overwatch is the lesser of evils compared to many other loot box systems, but loot boxes are at it's core still a system that exploits people with gambling addictions.

Yeah, Blizzard is a business so they won't, but Overwatch's loot box system is so ridiculously successful they don't really need to charge for the base game.

You know that experiment on willpower they did years ago where they put a cookie/marshmallow in front of a child in an empty room and told them if they didn't eat it for 15 minutes, they would get another one on top of the one on the table?

What if the child reasoned that, there is no guarantee the people performing the experiment were telling the truth, so it's a safer bet to eat the cookie/marshmallow while it's as fresh as possible and while nobody could stop them while in the room alone, over the uncertain possibility of getting another cookie/marshmallow?

Depends on what you want out of your phone.

Personally, I like water proofing and a mircoSD card slot.

A removable battery is becoming less and less common but it's a good option if you want to replace your battery 1/2 way through the life span of the phone to keep the charge up.

If you want a phone with all the bells and whistles and don't mind paying it's usually Samsung's phone.

The movies don't even go that far to try to establish motive.

People are killing each other for extremely arbitrary reasons.

"My neighbor has more money than me and it makes me feel bad. Rather than rob them I'm going to kill them and keep my financial situation the same".

"This guy wouldn't let my take things from his store without paying."

"I killed my parents because being an orphan with no income is better than them telling me off for behaving badly".

"It's fun to kill random people at the extreme risk of also getting killed myself. The rest of the year isn't worth living if I can't also do this."

The purge is a good concept with terrible execution. There is no explained reason why crime is almost 0 because people go on a murder spree once a day a year, and that fact that it does work means the society in which the purge takes place consists of mostly psychopaths with a need to mass murder innocents anyway. The movie plays it off as a conspiracy by the rich, but as I said earlier, the fact that the purge works at all means there was already something deeply wrong with the people of that society.

Realistically, if all crime was legal for 12 hours, people would be raping and robbing each other, in the purge movies, all anyone cares about is going on murder sprees.

I'm that guy that gets something from the bottom of the stack and reaches behind the stuff in front to get the product less people have touched. I also look over the products to see which one in the best of all of them.

In super markets, the stuff in the back usually expires later.

But if you had a the choice between a dented can, and a non dented can, why would you choose the dented one? Is putting down the dented can and getting a not dented one too much of a waste of your time?

Well, assuming there is an ejection and parachute system like jets, people inside the flying vehicles might be safe if there is mechanical failure, but everybody below where the vehicle crashes would be screwed.

I did a quick google and ejection seats exist that self right and some that launch down rather than up.

The biggest issue with flying cars would eventually be the logistics, but self driving cars are coming so in theory if vehicles can drive themselves human error will be kept to a minimum which would also apply to flying vehicles.

That said, I don't expect civilian owned flying vehicles any time soon. The issue with that right now isn't even the logistics, it's making personalized flying vehicles safe and cost effective that work without a huge take off and landing zone.

Youtube basically finding more and more ways to pay people less and less because google knows they have a monopoly on the market and can do whatever they want.

They are also making it harder and harder for small channels and directing their focus at big channels because that's where the big bucks are made.

I know another reason this is being done is as an anti piracy measure, with the theory that people won't create a new channel and put up pirated content because they won't make any money off of it and their channel should be taken down before they reach the minimum hours and subscribers.

Most rich and influential people don't run for office because they are already rich and influential and running for a political position is a lot of work for no benefit.

Someone like Oprah is already influential enough where she can basically tell all her fans who to vote for anyway.
