now that Info Tree Dangan gets a real opponent for me and I have to actually think about the match it's in, I'm honestly surprised at how well the song works for me. Even the vocals don't seem bad and seem to add to the song rather than dragging things far down like most other vocals do for me (like especially Living in the City). I also really appreciate the emotional tone it's got too, the song's a nice strong spectacle to listen to here.

filling out a R3+ Bracket I've come to realize Danger ARM version is very much in the running to be my favorite song left in this contest. Part of this however comes with how much I want to count the vocals part or how easy it would be to stop the song at 3:16 and feel like I listened to a full song..... Either way it pretty easily beats 444 for me, even though 444 is also a great song and my 2nd favorite today.

An olympic related thought that's been on my mind...

I remember in one of the recent olympic events from the past few years, the gold medal for snowboarding or something was awarded to someone so completely unexpected, where some TV stations weren't even bothering with filming their attempt and were just filming interviews at the time instead...
What I'm wondering is, has this kind of thing ever happened in a judged event? Someone completely unexpected managing to earn gold, I mean. Like, a part of me wonders if the human judge element would allow for that sort of thing, or if subconscious biases & expectations would be too strong or something like that.

First match very close. I love the way Stella pt2 showcases those cool rhythms on those strong notes, but the sort of "emotional aesthetic" it also does kind of makes me want to be listening to something else. Point of no return is solidly good all the way through. No part of it ever really reaches the cool rhythm/strong note stuff Stella does but also no part ever makes me unhappy to be listening to it either

Hi, surprise, I can't believe I'm doing this but I'm changing my Match 3 vote to

Class::CIEL_N_PROTECTA;

Ultimately, Foregone Destruction is... It's fine, but it just feels a bit plain to me, and while it's got a fairly cool aura sound to it, it never really goes anywhere for me. Ciel 'n Protecta on the other hand feels more musically interesting to me in the places it goes. And there is...something I actually do like about the weird coding chants it does. The only problem is the main singing, y'know, the whole main focus of the song, which -Really- hurts. But somehow right now I'm not as intensely opposed to that main singing as I was in Round 1, and balancing all the factors and stuff I do feel like I'm enjoying listening through Ciel & Protecta more than I am with Foregone Destruction today, oops. Sorry to fans of FD, hopefully this won't change the outcome of this match or anything!

I feel like Dreams in a Pie is sort of like Bound Together, but not the full deal, in that right now I like this song more than it may seem like I might, but it's still not enough to be all that competitive. I do respect it though. I like the thing with those single syllables going into that alternate key tone at :29 and then :39.

Match #2 annoys the heck out of me, I'd certainly take either of those songs over any of the other 4 today. S-Rank & Hurry Up manage to appeal to different parts of me, and it seems much less common to find songs with Hurry Up's appeal than it is to find S-Rank's. With Hurry Up, I Love the surreal, world-breaking feel of it's first half. But then it gets to 1:47, and that section is too "normal" and repetitive. Partly because I don't think it's really meant to be listened to this way! You're supposed to HURRY UP and finish the level before this part of the music plays! Plus the parts of the level where this plays have differing timers so this part probably just repeats itself because it's past the point where it would fully play in some levels, but not others. So in a way I sort of wonder just how "intended" it is to be listened to like this! But anyway then it gets to the oops the universe died because you didn't hurry up good and I appreciate this un-music part being added to the Loop. I love the unique experience that song brings but unfortunately S-Rank battle is so good I have to vote for it instead
