You do realize it's required by law to send them a notice through email, phone, or through post mail that their medicaid will be ending soon, and direct them to a website to update their information, or fill out the forms they get through post mail if they want to do it physically? Nearly 1.2 million were removed for procedural reasons, stymied by the red tape of the renewal process. As of last month, this included more than 858,000 kids. In some of these cases, according to Medicaid advocates, families moved and never received the letter informing them that they needed to submit certain income information, or the notification was written in a language they dont read, or they submitted paperwork but it was missing a signature, or they needed assistance renewing their coverage but couldnt get through to HHSC by calling 211.

If anyone actually read the article. Nearly 20 million Americans lost their medicaid, 1.3 million of them being kids, not 1.9. That was the overall, along with adults. But Texas also kept on about 2 million on Medicaid.

Also, they didn't kick them out because, "Fuck them kids", they just didn't renewal.

It's important to note, however, that a substantial number of those who no longer have Medicaid were removed for procedural reasons. The KFF found that 69 percent of those removed no longer had coverage because they didn't complete the renewal process.

That frequently happens when states no longer have current contact information for the enrollees or if the enrollee doesn't know or understand how to complete the renewal within a set time. In Texas, it accounted for 66 percent of those removed.

Sadly a large percentage of these people likely would not support these actions provided they were actually properly educated on what was going on instead of just taking Fox News at face value.
