On a different note, how much of a different experience will Awakening be if I import my Warden from Origins instead of starting from scratch? Does it matter if my Elven mage died after defeating the Archdemon?

I am tempted to replay it either with a Dwarven two-handed build with class undecided or Human arcane warrior. I'm loath to sacrifice Alistair so might opt to use Loghain if I can figure out how to recruit him without pissing off Alistair. Of course there's also Morrigan's option which I guess based on the DLC is the canon choice?

Thank you for the responses and opinions. I have already played Origins and II years ago but never got around to finishing Awakening or all the other DLCs. Bad experience or not, I'll like to at least wrap up the story.

You should just ditch the series and play Witcher 3 instead. Bioware games will play like shit after you play it for a while.

I'll get to that someday after I actually finish the first Witcher. Tried a little but the combat kinda discourage me from trying again. The whole timing and mouse clicking didn't seem that appealing.

Plus one of the reasons I enjoyed DA: Origins is cause of some aspects from Baldur's Gate II. Witch doesn't quite have the same vibe, right?

EDIT: Interesting enough, some fans of Baldur's Gate II and Planescape Torment praise Witch 3 story as being comparable. Guess I'll just have to muscle my way through Witcher and Assassins of Kings one of these days.

With the sale on Origins now, I'm tempted to get Inquisition but have never completed all the DLCs for Origins, Awakening, or II. I am sure it doesn't really matter that much since I can probably use Dragon Age Keep to set the background for Inquisition but at the same time it wouldn't hurt to actually finish the DLCs and get a refresher on the story.

To fans of the series, would you consider it worth replaying Origins, Awakening, and II before Inquisition?

Comments and opinions are appreciated,

Thank you

From a non-religious standpoint there is some sense to it I'd say. Most folks have a three or four-day weekend thus making it easier to have family get-togethers. You can bet none of my family and relatives get together on Memorial Day, July 4th, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. to celebrate the meaning behind those days. To us the extended weekend just allow us to have a potluck and reunion of sort.

Most notably, in the areas where Google Fiber has been operating, other ISP's have provided similar speeds for similar costs, exposing the reality that they've been deliberately throttling their speeds so they can charge more for minor incremental upgrades, rather than for any technical reasons.

To my understanding as well, internet speed in other parts of the world are notably faster than ours to boot.

One word, infrastructure.

Of course, there's this issue. I think it was going to be nigh impossible in Los Angeles County for example since installing the fiber lines underground will be difficult/impossible with all the existing pipes and other lines.

Installing above ground will require building new towers and/or pigging back off other ISPs towers and I'd imagine they'll be hardpressed to share.

REI return policy use to be very lenient, something along the lines of accepting returns regardless of how old. I can only guess it was abused too much so they've reduced the return to one year period which is still a long time.

I had a pair of $200 boots that I had hiked in for maybe 150-200 miles when one of the lace hooks tore out. I asked both the manufacturer and REI if they can just repair it but with a waterproof layer in-between, it wasn't really repairable to its previous state. The boots were still within the one-year return period and the associate actually suggested I simply return it for a new pair. I actually felt bad as I wanted to keep the same pair of boots and just repair them but overall was probably easier for everyone for me to just trade-in for a new one.

I am curious as to what evidences were presented to make the jurors believe him finding the gun was a coincidence and it accidentally going off. Like some have mentioned, I'd imagine manslaughter would still apply though what would the proper procedure even be? Leave the gun alone and call the authorities?

According to NPR.

https://goo.gl/uwDzwJ

The gun was stolen four days before the killing from the parked car of a visiting Bureau of Land Management ranger. And even the prosecution agreed that there was no evidence linking Garcia Zarate to that robbery.

I guess it could very well be one of those weird flukes when the stars aligned. And then there's this.

there were only brief references to the defendant's immigration status.

I wonder if the jurors would have thought differently. Though I guess maybe if this whole mess was a fluke and none of it was ill intended, it could very well happen to anyone regardless of how innocent or guilty they are of other crimes. Can't say I would want to be on this jury panel and having to focus on just the shooting itself and not his status as an illegal immigrant.

Zeus posted...

Obviously there is bound to be lost of civilians lives in both North and South Korea and of course the post-war/battle clean-up won't be easy.

I do wonder how many are willing to sacrifice whatever number of Koreans if it means the end of that regime. Do some American honestly feel that threatened that they are willing to sacrifice other civilians to end a regime? Will these same Americans be willing to enlist and fight this war?

Plus, with Bruce being mortal and Diana being essentially immortal, I do not know how that will work out in the long run. I think in the animated series though, Diana and Steve were at the very least still friends decades later.

Curious though, is Batman Beyond canon? Bruce actually lives that long despite his life style?

The amount of food and water we waste in the States is bothersome to me and unfortunately some businesses can't do much about their leftover food due to the liabilities and laws involved. Hell, a coworker use to work in a market and told me they would purposely sabotage produce goods when throwing them away to discourage people from dumpster diving.

As for water, even in areas with regular rain I'd imagine it still takes effort to treat said water so just because there's an abundance of water in said area doesn't mean it was effortless to treat. There's also of course all the water we lose to leaks in our piping system across the States.

Not directly related but I recall back in college, a friend would always scoop a lot of tarter sauce for his fried fish but proceed to use only a quarter of it. It baffled me why he couldn't just scoop only what he needed and if he needed more, to just get more.

EDIT: I find it bizarre how we rate ourselves a first world country and yet hunger is still an issue in some areas despite the amount of food that goes to waste. Granted I am sure just because there is food to go around, that doesn't mean the logistics to get said food to those in need is available for free.

There is a lot of good and bad that comes with the process. In the long run I think it improves communities by stimulating the economy.

My friend suggested the same. He feels you can't hold back progress in a neighborhood by trying to be nice to its denizens. At some point said denizens need to adapt and improve their own lives if they hope to remain in the area.

Personally I do and would not be oppose to dating a black Woman. Can't say most Black women would be interested in a Chinese man though. I think percentage wise, Black women and Asian men are the lowest percentage of interracial relationships.

Friend and I had a lengthy discussion about this. I feel there needs to be some protection in place to prevent people from getting push out frequently and having to relocate and find another place to live.

But at the same time I understand these apartments are a business and the owners should be able to do as they wish so long as it is within the confines of the law. Whether or not said laws should be revised to assist the rentees, that's another discussion.

It is a little weird with me and hunting/catching live critters. Could I see myself shooting, skinning, and gutting a deer, rabbit, etc. No. Could I see myself catching, skinning, and gutting a fish? Yes.

I just hate in when it's just white text on a black background with little or no music.
Like Arkham City. Longass credits with white text on a black background with almost no sound or music whatsoever.
Have at least some kickass music and I'm happy.

I liked how Borderlands 2 did their credit roll. It had both music and various artwork showing post-game events.
