I think my cousin have you beat by a few years. She met her husband around 9th grade, got married in their mid 20's and now in their mid 30's have two daughters with a third kid on the way. Still, kudos to you for maintaining said relationship all this time.

A former coworker of mine broke-up with his high school sweetheart after high school but after college they got back together and few years ago got married. Apart from arranged marriages, I do wonder what is the youngest sweethearts who maintained a happy marriage.

Monsters get 2.6 times the health in multiplayer which isn't that bad.

Thank you for the insight. 2.6x more health doesn't seem that bad at all especially given how one player can something act as a distraction/tank while the other player(s) can set traps, focus on the tail/limbs, etc. Of course monsters will always have that sixth sense of knowing when someone is trying to heal and make a beeline for that player.

I read of friendly fire but my friend(s) and I were good about keeping our distance. My friend with the hammer usually focus on the head while I with the SS focus on the tail/limbs or mounting attacks.

I actually think 4 players is overkill when people know what they're doing.

I have read of groups with three players going ham while one focus on just crowd control. I never witness it in person but can only imagine when setup right, monsters go down quickly.

Yeah, It's still a thing. The game even directly displays "OUT OF RANGE" when you're not in critical distance now.

Good to know. I didn't play with LBG that long but I'd imagine at some point one would be accustom to being at the critical distance without any indicators.

The enemies scale in multiplayer but they don't scale based upon the number of players. So basically it scales up to a monster that should be beaten by four people, but you're only playing with two.

Has it always been like this in previous MH installments? I know in MH4U hunts were scaled based on the number of monsters. When hunting a single monster its health would be 100% of its norm for example but when hunting two of them, their health are reduced. I co-oped through most of it with one friend with a third occasionally joining us so can't say if I noticed a difference between two and three players.

Dynalo posted...
What weapons does everyone prefer?

I'll probably start off with sword and shield again and then shift to light bowgun or start off immediately with the LBG. I played through most of MH4U with SS and besides liking the mobility I also enjoyed playing the "support" role with paralysis and traps. I am somewhat tempted to try the charge blade for when I want the extra oomph though.

EDIT: Speaking of LBG, I watched a video and it seems much more mobile now but the video didn't mention critical distance. Is that still a thing where you deal the most damage by being at a certain distance from your target? I think in MH4U, the screen will shake slightly if you were at the right distance.

Ah neat, that doesn't sound as bad. Last time my friends and I co-oped in a Monster Hunter game was with MH4U on the 3DS and for that we soloed through the story.

So if I understand you correctly, one can directly join a friends game by simply answering the SOS without leaving the game and still get credit for the storyline quest. Said online settings can be set so only friends can answer the SoS, right? I never used the SoS flares in MH4U so am not 100% sure how they work, I assume it just makes your game appear on the list of open games.

I do wonder how some musicians feels when fans selectively choose which song to purchase out of an album instead of the entire thing. Out of most albums/soundtracks, some I like the entire selection while for some I might only like two or three songs.

Depending on who you ask, Fallout 4 is a good game but not a good Fallout game. If anything I see FO4 more like a wasteland mod of Skyrim than a Fallout game. I've read some folks suggest FO4 wouldn't receive the flack it did if it wasn't called a Fallout game. I can kinda agree with this. For example I personally viewed Deus Ex: Invisible Wars the same. Its a good game but not a good Deus Ex game. By calling it a Deus Ex game I go in expecting certain aspects of a Deus Ex game and when those aspects are missing, I'm already less than satisfy even if I thought the gameplay was enjoyable.

Of course you also have fans like me who weren't 100% happy with the changes from Fallout and Fallout 2 to Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas but overtime learned to appreciate the good aspects of the game. I miss the black humor of FO and FO2 but feel FO3 and FO:NV does a better job with the immersion. I don't mind the isometric view of the earlier Fallout games but the controls do feel archaic nowadays.

I briefly played FO4 during the free weekend and might pick it up while the sale is still on. For better or worse we'll not getting another STALKER game anytime soon so FO4 with mods might be the closest thing I'll get.

I'd admit though, one thing I feel FO4 did maybe better is limiting you to certain perks/builds based on your SPECIAL stats. I know previous Fallout games did the same but it was kinda easy to get around that with a high Intelligence and maxing out your skills. In my current playthrough in FO:NV I have a Charisma of 1 but Intelligence of 10. It was simple to max out my Speech and Barter skills due to my high Intelligence despite my very low Charisma. In the initial release of FO:NV we had a level cap of 30 so could only go so far with our skills and had to specialize. Granted with the four DLCs and our level cap at 50 now it is simple to max out all skills by 50. Our perks are still limited by our SPECIAL stats but with all skills at 100, it is relatively easy to get through most/all situations even if we're missing certain perks.

Of course being a cheater they don't care about anyone but themselves if they want a safety net to fall back on so it's almost futile to try and understand them. The worse I think though are the folks who use their partner as a stepping stone to get to someone else.

Recently friends and I were talking about Netflix growth and how it went up about $100 a share in a year which makes me wonder if I should pay more attention to the market as a whole.

Some family and friends seem to regularly keep up with various prices of stocks, shares, etc. and might grab buy/sell them when the prices seem optimal. I am not sure if they deal with brokers or handle their investments directly.

Personally I've kinda just treated it as fire-n-forget with Franklin Templeton Investments and just put in X dollars per month and hope for some growth. With my 401k I do meet with our company's broker every few months to see what he advises and adjust my portfolio from there.

To anyone with stocks, shares, investments, etc. How do you handle it? Do you just let your broker handle whatever money you put in each month or do you handle it directly?

Comments are appreciated,

Thank you.

I am surprise Bank of America isn't top 5 or top 10. Aren't they usually number one? Personally I have never had issues with BoA but I have heard stories. Or as my friend, another BoA user, suggest it. They only care about you if you have money.

Other countries got American Football teams as well.

Interesting. Thank you for the insight. And here I thought only the U.S. had football while everyone else had rugby.

World baseball classic

And that just goes to show how little I know about baseball. Thanks for the insight. I knew of such a league for the Little Leagues but wasn't aware it was for Major too.

Friends and I briefly talked about this last time. We thought it sounded odd as well. Hell, in the baseball World Series, to my understanding it is just U.S. teams despite other countries having baseball teams. Would be neat to have an actual international competition though.

Nope. Only time I get modded is when I foolishly ask about stuff against the ToS and/or not use the spoiler tags which are all my fault anyway.

I feel so many of these jokes are running the fine line between being racist and a simple humorous jab that it's easy to go in either directions depending on one personal view point. If my coworkers make any stereotypical Chinese jokes with me I laugh with them cause I know some are true and my coworkers themselves are still good people.

I guess it really comes down to how well the people involve knows each other. To me, one should avoid such jokes until a solid connection exist. One person once commented about us Asians often preferring tea over coffee. There was nothing offensive about that as he based it on observation. Myself and majority of my Asian coworkers drank tea with only a few drinking coffee.

Anyway it's a joke. Some folk need thicker skin.

I'll agree with you on this but I feel it goes both ways. Everyone should have thicker skin but everyone should also be mindful of whether or not said joke/comment might cross the line and part of that depends on the current people you're around. We don't need to live lives like we're walking on egg shells but there are time and place for said jokes.

I try to think of what I like but all I can think back to is the twins and their sacrifice.....

EDIT: Didn't realize they were cured later. Neat.
