Alright, so the previous topic was lost, and all the rules are gone. General information: every generation of Pokemon starts with the first ten in the Pokedex. Five advance. Then a new five face those five, and so on and so forth. This goes until we reach the end of a generation, at which point each round becomes single elimination until we determine a generation winner. At the moment, Jolteon, Feraligatr, Flygon, and Gliscor have won generations and will be involved in the grand finals alongside the winners of Gen V, VI, VII, and the three Pokemon with the longest winning streaks to give us a final ten.

In the event of a tiebreaker, I'll hold a one-off topic to break said tie. Those rounds (same as these poll topics) last 24 hours to determine winners and whatnot. For purposes of this contest, no alts and no rallying.

Also, feel free to discuss opinions and predictions and whatnot.

Okay, this is what I was talking about earlier. There was a random scene while I was scouting one of the side areas for missions, and in that scene, Vanille said to Hope that she became Ragnarok and attacked Cocoon. I don't recall hearing anything about Ragnarok before that point. Yet now there's a scene of Fang talking about Ragnarok with Vanille, and this is the first time I recall the conversation actually coming up.

So I completed the first seventeen missions (all leading up to the Cie'th stone outside the tunnel I needed to enter to progress the plot), and finally started advancing the plot! Lotta robots in here, which means a lot of stuff that is a total bitch to do any meaningful damage to, pre-stagger.

I finished through mission 16. I'm gonna do mission 17 because it unlocked a teleport RIGHT next to my current favorite grinding spot, plus I think story progression is nearby too. Maybe.

One thing that's really annoying is the fact that the world map rotates with your character. If I'm running somewhere and I want to check the map for where I'm going, I expect my destination to be in the EXACT same place on the map that it was the last time I checked.

So I'm continuing on my journey, doing missions because why not? And I'm wandering through this annoying labyrinth of tight spaces and an overabundance of mobs. But none of this feels like it's the main plot. So why on earth does Vanille just drop a random "oh yeah, I turned into Ragnarok and wrecked shit" reference? I feel like that's something that I should've learned in the main plot, not just on the road to a random side mission.

Found an even BETTER grinding spot. It's a Behemoth fighting some giant wolf thing, allowing me to get a preemptive strike every time. Takes less than a minute to kill them both at this point, and it's worth 6600 every time.
