Definitely Fanta.

Crush is ok, but slightly more bitter. It's like Sprite > 7-up.

Sunkist is unappealing. It has a "slimy" consistency.

Volunteer? Join community activities like a sports or special interests club. If you're religious, meet people at sermons.

I've had that idea before. Never made a real attempt, I suppose. Would one day a week be enough? That's all I could really spare, apart from my brother. Where would I volunteer? What are the kinds of places that could help me accomplish my goal? And if I'm going to volunteer just so I can try and meet a woman, doesn't that make me selfish?

You seem to be a compassionate person so I'd really suggest volunteering places particularly at events with pods of volunteers. There's so many I've seen hook up over the years.

Thank you for saying so! What is a "pod" of volunteers?

Have you tried online dating with a wider radius? I noticed quite a few guys and gals on OkCupid that were looking for a very wide range.

I don't remember what my eHarmony radius was. My current Bumble radius is 30 miles. I can reach several cities in that radius. I can't imagine going any wider than that, because that's just asking for a long-distance relationship. Bad idea, when I hate driving with a passion.

Well doc, the gist of my problem is I want to get married, but I don't know how to find the right woman.

I have lived in a town of approximately 60000 people since 2003. Moved here when I was a freshman in high school. I'm turning 30 this year. (I would feel worse about that but I actually look pretty young for my age so that isn't as big of a factor in this as it could be.)

After trying to begin my first relationship for all this time, I feel like I have exhausted all conventional Avenues. Nothing ever turned up for me in high school or college. I somehow managed to spend a year and a half in a tiny Christian College that marries 80 percent of its own student population without developing any significant relationships. I made connections for networking but that's about it.

After college I have met a few women, and even went on one date after a party at work. Once we went out for coffee, to my surprise, this woman let me know she already had a boyfriend. A nice detail to leave out before a date isn't it? After that I just don't know. (There are also other situations I'm leaving out for now where I approached women in a casual and friendly atmosphere, and I've been turned down every single time.)

(Well I did meet a fun girl at comic con once. But she turned out to be 19, so I backed off.)

I don't intend on getting drunk off my rear end and hooking up with some bar chick. I'm not a drinker unlike most of this town, and I don't think I would want to hook up with anyone who goes to those type of establishments. I have tried to meet women in my church through small groups and potlucks. But the vast majority of them are already taken. The rest have not shown any interest in me as far as I can tell, though I have reached out to more than a few. I tried online dating in the past, going so far as to pay for eHarmony for 3 months. I never got a single message back from there. I even tried Bumble just recently. Swiped right on probably a hundred women and never got a single message back from them.

Don't get me wrong. I have good friends (guys and girls), and a fantastic, supportive family. We spend a lot of time together and I do my best to go to every party that they invite me to, on the off chance I could meet someone that way.

I love my job working with my brother with autism, as well as a gentleman in a wheelchair here in town. My job helps me make enough money to play basically any game I want at any given time. I go to movies, I participate in a Dungeons & Dragons group as well as other activities here and there. I have all the regular things a man my age would look forward to. All except for a significant romantic relationship. I do my best to stay content but I can't help but feel like I'm missing a vast section of life experience. What do you do when you feel like your town doesn't have many Avenues to meet women, and any efforts you have made have always met with 100% failure?

I'm feeling horribly anxious and depressed. My family is dangerously close to splitting up. Even talking about leaving our hometown. We have always been very close. They mean everything to me.

I'm not married. College is finished and I have nothing to show for that. I have nothing else going on. My brother and sister have special needs. So this move would hurt them just as much as me, if not more so. We're all supposed to be a team, but my parents and neuro-typical sisters just can't seem to get their crap together and let go of petty differences. Makes me so angry.

Being alone is one of my worst fears. But it could very well come true this year. If these differences aren't resolved, Life couldn't get worse, as far as I can tell.

My family is all I have.

There is no light without Darkness. There is no cold without hot. There was also no free will without choice. Adam had Choice. Adam had free will. He chose to receive the knowledge of Good and Evil.

Then Jesus gave us the ability to overcome the consequences of Adam's choice. Yes there is evil in the world. But we are not beholden to it. We still have a choice.

I've been a born-again believer in Jesus Christ for almost 25 years now. Have a tattoo of the Alpha and Omega on my right arm. Here's what I've learned, after reading through the Bible a few times, cover to cover.

God most certainly has an "end game" in mind. Something that benefits him and all of humanity.

Whoever asserted that God did not create people with free will is wrong, plain and simple. We've always had that, and always will. Don't believe me? Look in the bible. What was God's first task for Adam? Tend the garden of Eden, and name all of the animals. Can somebody think of a name, or think of any kind of choice at all without some kind of free will? Of course not.

Free will gave Lucifer the choice to reject God, and become Satan. Free will is what lead Eve to believe Satan's lie, and eat the fruit of the one single tree God asked her and Adam to stay away from. Free will is what allowed Adam to choose to follow Eve's bad decision, rather than to uphold what was right. Free will is also what Jesus used when He decided to follow God's will to die for all the sins of the world, later to rise again. There are countless and countless examples of man using free will in the bible, both in good ways and bad. God created free will, and expects us to use it. We are all held accountable by free will. God is loving, but He is equally just and righteous.

Your entire life is predicated on the concept of free will. You have a choice on whether you accept God and what the bible teaches. Or you can choose to reject it and try to find meaning elsewhere.

When it comes to Heaven, the idea that all it will consist of is sitting on clouds and doing nothing is just a simple cliche. The bible talks about heavenly cities of gold, with lakes made of glass. It says that those in Heaven will finally be given complete, unending access to worship God, and to know Him intimately. It's more than the human mind could ever fully comprehend. We'll see things with new eyes, smell new smells, be far more capable of preforming new actions we can't possibly dream about now! There'll be no more sin, no more pain, no more tears. Just unending worship of the eternal being who created the entire universe and everything in it. It's more wonderful than one could possibly imagine.

This would be humanity's benefit, which I mentioned earlier. God's benefit is that He will be reunited with the only creation made in His image, fully reconnected with those whom He loves.(As for the people and angels/demons who reject God, our benefit is that they'll be fully punished for the evil they caused, and earn the judgement they've deserved for so long.)

Again, don't just take my word for it. I'm paraphrasing heavily, and have probably made a mistake or two in this post. Please read the bible for yourself, and decide what you believe.

I'm not gonna do the whole "post-by-post" response with you, sk8r_ryan. You're clearly more interested in pleasuring your body than in educating your mind. I'm not interested in a petty argument. Just wanted to answer the TC's question.

Anyone who advocates or supports porn will go to any length to generalize their habit. Like a drug addict. Different materials, same excuses. You either accept the truth, or stay part of the problem.

If you really need evidence that badly, look at divorce rates and sex slave statistics. The porn industry massively contributes to those issues, both indirectly and directly, and may be solely responsible for them.

Porn destroys marriage, objectifies women, harms their respect and image in the minds of men, and is completely repugnant. If you support it, you're part of the problem and share some of the guilt that comes with it.

Yes, porn is bad.

How are the koopalings overrated

I don't think I've seen or heard them mentioned in a good twenty years

Har

Completely serious

They were brought back in NSMBW after much fan demand. Then they were subsequently put in NSMB2 and NSMBU in the same capacity with extremely similar battles, and people got weary of them. Then they were put into Mario Kart, taking up a lot of the newcomer space in that game which pissed some people off and they wound up getting in Smash as well. At this point the general consensus is too much Koopalings.

Personally I want to see them get a 3D outing.

Their first comeback was in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.
