• Commercials are almost always boring.
• They usually interrupt whatever you're doing.
• I almost never want what they're selling.
• They're often cheesy and occasionally very stupid.
• They are reused so often you get sick of it.
• If we extend advertisements into the world of pop-ups, now we're talking about malware, and other harmful stuff.
• Pop-ups can be outright filthy, advertising "sex chats" and the like.

If advertisement didnt have the very occasional benefit of actually showing off a nice, desirable product, there would be no redeeming factors for ads at all!

I got matches with multiple women. But Bumble wouldn't allow me to see who without using their coins, or whatever. If I was able to message them, how does that work? I never saw the option. And they never messaged me either.

Bumble sucks. I stick with Hinge.

In addition to the games in my sig I'm also playing Fallout NV and Smash Ultimate.

I got back into Ultimate a little after Banjo was released. A couple local tournaments were held, and I tried them out. I took first place in the second event. Never done that before! After that I've just been desperately clawing my way back into Elite Smash. You need over 5,600,000 GSP now, and even one loss is massively punished. It's a labor of love.

I picked up Mortal Kombat XL in a steam sale. It's better than buying 11 because you actually get everything you pay for. Story was alright, and had a decent length. The variations for fighters they introduced really adds a lot to the experience, and can turn a bad character into a good one. Predictably, the only online players left are the ones who dedicate their lives to the game, so winning is basically impossible. But I had a great time for 30 hours or so.

Never got around to playing New Vegas before, so this is my first go round on PC. It took me about 8 hours to figure out how to properly mod the game into a decent looking experience, by current standards. Otherwise I stayed away from most other mods, to keep it vanilla. I haven't gotten that far into it yet, but it's been pretty fun. Just reached the Mojave Outpost. Some giant scorpions wrecked me pretty good until I broke out the dynamite. Good stuff!

Luigi's Mansion 3 is one of the best games of 2019, IMO. The attention to detail is staggering! Luigi has fantastic animation, and great voice work from the one and only Charles Martinet. Nintendo wasn't afraid to try new things with this sequel, and without giving anything away, it really pays off! The camera is a little awkward sometimes, and the gameplay doesn't allow for a crazy amount of variety. The soundtrack could have also used a little more catchiness. But those are my only nitpicks. It's easily the best in the franchise!

Like you, I was also not a huge fan of Blade runner. But I gave 2049 a try anyways. I think it builds well off of the first movie, and out-performs it in every way. I'm not usually a fan of Ryan Gosling. But I think they managed to take his acting style and give him a role he was perfect for. Kind of like Scwarzenegger before him, with Terminator.

While I'm definitely going for a vanilla experience, I'm also looking to improve things as much as I can.

Graphics are gonna worked on. I also have to choose a good ENB.

I'm also keeping an eye out for quality-of-life things. Like when I played Witcher 3, I made sure Geralt had the ability to jump in ankle-deep water, the blood textures were nicer, and that the weather effects were of better quality. I wouldn't have wanted to play the game without stuff like that!

There is no reason to feel bad for him, outside of empty pity.

He is recognized as one of the worst interpretations of the Joker, of which he is at least partially, personally responsible for.

The most you can give him is that he serves as a great example of what not to do with an iconic character.

You could pick up a Raspberry Pi for around the same price and it runs PlayStation games much better. Morse controller options, too.

I've read that it takes a lot of work to hack the PS Classic into decent shape. Not worth it, IMO.

I think it depends on how it plays out.

If the person in costume made it obvious he was mocking Hitler/Nazi's in general, it would be fine. (Also that thing that was said about it being a 100% accurate costume or not.)

Of course it also depends on who is doing it. Just a regular guy? Should be ok. But someone known for being racist or otherwise questionable? That might raise some red flags.

The short explanation of people living that long in the literal sense is that before the great flood, the condition of Earth's atmosphere was different than it is now, due to differences in pressure, moisture, and a host of other factors. This lead to people living much longer lives.

I'm curious as to how ParanoidObsessive came to that conclusion. There is no clear indication in the Bible itself that leads to anything but a literal translation of the 6 days of creation.

We can speculate on whether those days were literal or not, if we reference how to God a "day" can seem no different than a thousand years. But those passages are in completely different books of the Bible, separated by a world of context and most likely written by completely different authors over the course of hundreds of years.

In other words, we really have no good reason to speculate that it isn't literal, according to God's Word itself. This is why it is most commonly translated as a literal event to this day.

Ironically, it's actually a very modern concept that people in the past were too stupid to understand metaphors and thus had to interpret the Bible purely literally. Even prior to the era of Jesus, Jews were fully aware that the message was more important than the explicit words, and didn't take every single aspect of it literally. Like the whole "world created in six days" thing.

That's a common misconception about the Bible. Technically, yes, you can cherry-pick just about any passage from God's word and use it for whatever ends you'd like to justify. See: The Crusades.

That doesn't make your particular interpretation of the scripture a fact. That may not even support what you're trying to say at all.

I used to be firmly in the Mountain Dew camp. But then Good Mythical Morning pointed out that they think Mello hello is better. I tried one for myself just to compare and haven't gone back.

Mellow Yello has just a tad more depth to it. Got some tang to it. MDew tastes slightly flatter by comparison. It's still perfectly drinkable, though.

I also greatly enjoy other flavors of MDew. White out and Livewire are my go-to's.
