Second of all, what you sound just sounded like a bunch of excuses to me. People shouldn't be afraid to tell customers no, or that you don't have enough time. They should try not to do this, of course. In fact, do it as little as possible. Bend over backwards, if they have to. But if they truly can't...just say so.

I got in a conversation with my mom and sister. Mom occasionally works in a furniture store. My sister has a job hosting in a restaurant inside of a hotel. During one of my sister's stories, she explained that she lied to a customer about how much room was left for the restaurant's capacity. The customer asked if they were booked for a saturday. My sister said she was so busy, that she didn't have time to look at the reservation list. So she lied, and told the customer they were completely booked on Saturday.

I told her that she is beginning to lie too much, and it's going to bite her in the butt.

She told me I'm naive, because I've never worked in retail/sales positions. She said people need to lie at work sometimes. It's impossible to tell the truth all the time, according to her.

My mom was hesitant, but kind of agreed with her. She said in certain situations, people want what they can't have. So sometimes you have to stretch the truth in order to get more sales.

I completely disagree with them both. I've had multiple jobs in the past, and I've never been in a position in life where I felt like lying was the only solution to a problem. I think that's a poor excuse, and it shows a lack of integrity/cowardice. Now they've got me curious, and I want to see what other people think.

What's your stance on the matter? And feel free to share any examples from your own life.

Castlevania is the single-best videogame adaptation I have seen in 25 years.

Granted, that's a low bar. But trust me, this show made my sister cry twice. Someone who has never played a single game in the franchise. It's just a fantastic show. The first season is only 4 episodes, so its very easy to get started.

Highly recommended.

I enjoy homecoming as a whole. It is probably the best of them all. And in general, Tom Holland is the best blend of Peter Parker and Spider-Man.

But man, I can't freaking stand how much collateral damage he causes! And how willing he was to throw Ned to the wayside, or force him into morally questionable decisions. The last time I re-watched the movie it really rubbed me the wrong way.

it's been awhile since I talked about it. but one of my favorite fan theories is the Zero cataclysm Theory. Or whatever it is called. It's the one where Zero ended up being Wily's greatest and most dangerpus creation, and goes on to kill every robot from the classic series including Mega Man. Along with most of the humans, most likely.

I know it's been deconfirmed, and it ends such a bright and cheery time on such a dark, low note. But I honestly think it's much more interesting then... the complete lack of an explanation we have been given. We had all that foreshadowing about Zero from the arcade games, and elsewhere...only to get...no official payoff whatsoever.

I think all the signs point to it happening regardless of the deconfirmation and Keiji Inafune probably didn't have the guts to go through with his original vision. Or he wanted the fans to figure out things for themselves.

Plus it just seems really cool to me, in a morbid kind of way! We know zero started out with that virus. We know he was a crazy murderbot. I just choose to follow the trail of robot blood to its intended conclusion. Wily finally found his victory, in the end. But it cost him his life in the process.

Yeah, he's wrong. Gen 2 was great.

It was the generation that gave us Pineco, the definitive laziest Pokemon ever. They literally just took a pine cone, gave it eyes, and then cut off "ne" in "cone" for its name. Voltorb might just be a Pokeball, but at least it's something relevant to the games and they gave him an actual name.

Plus Gen 2 had Hoppip and fuck that thing.

You know...as opposed to the genius move of putting several eggs together and slapping a pair of eyes on them. Gen 1 sure wasn't lazy! LOL

True for me. I find it much harder to get into new music, or enjoy new artists. I was introduced to bands like Coldplay and System of a Down at that time. I just turned 30, and they are still some of my favorite bands ever.

I'm suspecting its mostly going to be true for everybody. Let's find out. I'm also gonna make this poll at the two main music boards in the special interest section, to get a bigger and more diverse set of results.

If you pick true, talk about which artists/bands/musical genres made the biggest impact on you as a teen.

If you pick false,talk about when you figured out what you do and don't like when it comes to music.

This, for sure. Pepsi has a sweeter, fuller taste. It's my favorite drink of all time, and I have a can almost every day.

Having said that, Good Mythical Morning has successfully converted me from the original Mountain Dew, to Mello Yello. It's definitely the better of the two. (Which was quite the surprise to me, as an avid supporter of multiple flavors of Dew.)

It wasn't revealed until a few months ago that the reason he committed suicide is because he was actually fired from ChannelAwesome because it came to light that he had abused and raped a few teenage girls. And the news did come off as a surprise to the content creators who had been grieving about his death years before.

The chatlogs proved that sexual misconduct had been committed, yes. But all that was proven was that illicit conversations had taken place. (Not even necessarily originating from JewWario.) As far as I know, that's where evidence ends for that situation, and the rest is speculation.

Very few of the hundreds of accusations were proven true with any sort of verifiable evidence. The majority of the issues raised were hugely exaggerated, unprovable anecdotes. Often from past employees looking for an extra handout.

Most people have accepted this information for the one-sided witch hunt it became, and already moved on. Even the cesspool of YouTube comments is finally getting back into the actual content of the channel, and letting go of fruitless grudges.

The only people who continue to bring this up are SJW right-fighters in their never-ending quest to find false topics to ***** about.

The biggest joke was how many people wanted to burn Doug Walker at the stake. When he had very little control over the events in question and was not responsible for almost any of the wrong doing, whether fake or real. But because he's the face of the channel, apparently he'a supposed to quit, or get fired, or something. Who the hell knows? It's massive stupidity.

Apparently that's supposed to be an announcement that season 6 of the original Teen Titans is confirmed. But I can't find a news link to verify this. They all want to talk about this clip, but I've seen nothing official from Cartoon Network, or otherwise.

I'd honestly be pretty stoked if it were true. That "finale" with not-Terra was garbage.
