Considering that the Yakuza series is gonna continue with Ichiban for a while, and it has yearly releases, Yakuza would probably be repped by whatever the most recent RPG would be, admittedly. Unless the series suddenly decides "no, now I'm going to start being bad".

I also think Cyberpunk ain't gonna bounce back; No Man's Sky continues to do a total 180 from its initial reception and gets, like, no buzz here, despite a similar level of exposure (if not the pedigree). Doom'll definitely see a sequel, so time will tell if Eternal is "the last good one" or not, but I'll bank on the eventual follow-up overshadowing it. I also think that Ghosts of Tsushima doesn't have legs and will fade in the memory of nine more years of high quality AAA titles, in the same way that inFamous 2 didn't make the field.

Card Spirits exist in the later series. Dark Magician Girl is very specifically called in one of them (GX I think?) where there's a big festival of people cosplaying as cards. So she just shows up as herself to revel in attention and flirt with people.

But man, just wanna talk about how fun Battletoads was in spite of its inevitable getting stomped on. If you can manage co-op, that's just a constant blast, took me right back to the days of stupid zany co-op fun where the game could just throw anything at you. Only okay as single-player, but recommend to anyone who just wants to kill an afternoon with friends, it's perfect for that.

I'm in the best shape of my life. Just taking a little time, every day, to focus on making myself better in some way, through diet or just taking a bit of time to walk has been great. Still love certain foods too much to be entirely 'fit', but there's a healthy amount of muscle on the frame now, and where fat is, it's healthy and slimmer.

Also was able to finally grow the YouTube channel past 10K subs. It just... feels nice, having something that developed as a hobby into a full-time project go from passion to actually helping paying a few of the bills. Not explosive, but it wouldn't have happened without this year's efforts and taking things in a different direction than before. And that's really cool.

I feel like I can frame this well enough as "do I take Metroid Prime to beat Mass Effect 2"? I'd feel like it and HL2 would've fallen off about the same amount at this point (no matter how far Gordon himself has fallen).

I THINK so, so HL2 > ME2, but I'm not confident about it. Would probably go with a cookie bracket if the winner of this was also likely to win the R3 match after.
