I was hurt the worst of everyone, but all my injuries were internal and I was in shock so it didn't specifically look like I was hurt badly. Cue many doctors and medical staff deciding to simply not check if I was hurt at all. I got sent home the next day, but it turns out my intestines had been severed by the seatbelt and had also damaged my spine from the impact. I mean, imagine getting hit in the belly so hard that it actually impacts your spine. I was told later that if it had fully broken my spine that I would've been completely cut in half(not totally sure I believe that, but eh). Anyways, I couldn't eat, drink, or sleep because of that. I was in constant extreme pain and even after repeated trips back to the hospital, they still didn't actually check if anything was wrong. This went one for nearly a week, by this time I was wishing for death. I couldn't think straight and was mostly out of it. One final trip to the hospital and they recognized I was at death's door. This time they figured out what the problem was, I had gangrene from my dead rotting guts that had been festering for a week... So emergency surgery to remove a bunch of my guts, and I was on the road to recovery. I was told that I wouldn't have survived the night, that it was literally on the verge of being too late to save me. I also had to go through physical therapy afterwards due to my back injury. I still have very painful problems from that. About once or twice a month, my guts cramp up just like they felt back then. I'd definitely rate it 10/10 on the pain scale. He even offered to let me move in with him, but I wussed out(of course). He's a great guy too. It's a trickle-down effect: the longer you're alone the more of a problem being alone (and all that comes with it) will be. This so much. It truly feels like a lot of my self esteem, insecurity, and depression issues would be lessened if someone wanted to be with me like that. Being unwanted sucks. I was talking with one poster, and he became very offended at me for saying he doesn't understand how it feels to be in your mid 30's and still a virgin, because he became (very)sexually active at 15. I don't think there's many people out there who could understand what it feels like, except those who experience it themselves. Maybe it just feels worse for me because of my abusive childhood/young adult life, where I was convinced I was totally worthless. All I know is that sometimes it drives me crazy that I've never had a real connection to someone else. I want a relationship, to be cared about and loved. Of course I want sex too, but that's secondary to being loved. I would hope finding a healthy relationship would include some kind of physical intimacy. Doesn't even matter in the end though. It feels like there's no hope. Even if I changed myself, excercised and became a better person, there'd still be no one to see it. No matter what I do, I'm just going to be alone. People think I'm just a gimmick, rather than someone desparate for a real connection with anyone so get insulted and it just makes me feel even more worthless. Everything in my life comes back to, and confirms the things my dad always said... I'm not worth having around. I tried to get people here to prove that's wrong, but most people here would be happier if I was just never seen again. There are a few that try to help, but they're just being nice. Then again she's just a very friendly type person and maybe she was just in a bubbly mood that night. She usually just hung out till time to leave, talking about Pokemon or drawing things for people. Then this night she actually started paying attention to me, making it a point to stand by me and talk with me even though others were trying to talk with her, and she ignored them, I tried my best to joke around with her, and we laughed. Then it was time for her to leave and my shift was just starting. She stuck around until everyone else left and we talked some more, it was nice. Then she decided to leave, and as she went out the door she called back to me "Hey Duuuuustiiiiiin!" and when I looked, she was leaned really far backwards peeking into the door and she smiled and said "Byeeeeeeeeee!" then vanished real quick. I spent all night long trying to figure out if she was flirting or just in a silly mood. After that she always behaved normally around me, being her quiet but still friendly self. I mean, I feel like I did everything I could to be funny and interesting then, so I assume I misread the situation and she was never interested at all. The other co-workers kept trying to get us to date, saying we'd make a great couple, and we'd have beautiful children. Y'know, the silly stuff people say trying to give obvious hints. Anyway, once I told someone that I'd be willing to date her if she was interested, that all stopped immediately. It's not from an injury, I was born that way. The pee hole is in the wrong location and shaped oddly.
