This.

Also NintendoFAQs. Been this way for literally years.

I could be wrong, but I swear PS3/PS4/PC have been winning these polls for the longest time, now. Nintendo might have the popularity on this site in terms of software, but this is the first time in many years I've seen a home console do this well.

I feel we've come a long way on the internet. "No one takes anything seriously on the internet" became cyberbullying, which became cases of suicide amongst youths. It used to be an anonymous facade where you could say whatever you want and get away with it. Today, that behavior is exposed on social media.

Looking back over 15 years, do you think some of the users here fit the bill as a potential sociopath?

I dislike the right, too. I don't watch Fox News, I'm pro-choice, and I think it's stupid and silly to see people rally for Trump, pretend to be Christian, and completely turn their back on their fellow man if they're of a difference racial background.

But the left is something I interact with on a daily basis. This is usually on social media outlets, particularly Twitter. I'm sick and tired of seeing people get offended over nothing. I'm tired of seeing people immediately take the side of a rapist accuser without any proof. And I'm tired of the bigotry. "We preach tolerance, but if you disagree with us, then you're a bigot!"

(Believe me when I say I know someone like this. He both bitches when people praise Nintendo on E3 events, and he once said all old people should move on so the new generation can take over the world)

I deal with seeing hivemind mentality on a daily basis thanks to Twitter trends. Disagree with someone, most especially a feminist, and expect to have them RT it to their followers to have them dogpile you because you're, to them, a sexist asshole.

Social Justice has never - and will never - accomplish anything. There are two genders. Chromosome syndromes affect less than 1% of the population.

(If your gender appears on an Unown chart, I will cease communications with you immediately)

Most notably is the Smash community, which I am from. There are tons of whiny children that have to post drama on a near-daily basis. "This person hurt my feelings" is a common outcry in the community. You can attempt to run someone over with your car, but God forbid you either make a tasteless joke or call out people for bad behavior.

In terms of the left, this is less related to textbook liberalism, on a political platform, or what the political party stands for. This is more about the people who claim to be feminists (yet are sexist) and think that bitching on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr will get anything to change.

(For the record, I stay the fuck out of politics in a big way. Unfortunately, I see leftist crybabies on a daily basis on Twitter)

Learn to stand on your own two feet and think with your mind. Joining a bipartisan group just puts you at war with your friends.

Wow. No. What an ignorant thing to say.

If you like the exploration aspect more, SM64 and Sunshine are much better. If you just want a 3D platformer for platforming's sake, then the Galaxy games do it wonderfully. I prefer exploration (favorite genres are collectathons and metroidvanias), so I prefer SM64 and Sunshine.

Don't be a pretentious ass.

The most popular 2D Mario game on the site is Super Mario World. This contradicts the placings that Super Mario Bros. 3 had in past "best game ever" contests. Also, there's a heavy tie between the two when it comes to fanbases.

The most popular current-era 2D Mario game on the site is NSMB. This is because DS simply sold the most units. Among anyone who's played them, NSMB is the least popular title. It's the most barebones of the games. Every game beyond it is more challenging and its level design is deeper. NSMBU is arguably the best of the series. Super Mario Run is also heavily entertaining. However, it's been out for only less than a year, and there is still bad stigma amongst some gamers regarding mobile gaming.

Most popular 3D Mario on the site is 64. This is due to heavy nostalgia for the game in general. The "high" is kicking in due to Super Mario Odyssey. What makes this particularly ironic is, in 2007 onwards, many people argued Galaxy was easily the best title in the series.

Both games have sold over 11 million units overall. I feel the Odyssey high is contributing to this.

The best game? It's what you make of it. My favorites are Super Mario Bros. 3, New Super Mario Bros. U, and Super Mario 3D World. But if you're trying to make sense of which one gets the votes, I've given whatever argument I can.

It's not. It's just the most popular since it was a peak era for Mario and nostalgia.

Galaxy was a vocal favorite and still is for anyone who's played both.

Right now, nostalgiacs are on a high because Odyssey "returned" to the larger world format that 64 had.
