The 40 draws were very generous with me. I got a bunch of stuff, including 5 new Awakenings:
Eiko - Healer AASBs are pretty imprtant for DB, even if Eiko sucks
Firion - Not that great, admittedly
Tellah - I have his chain, so this will help
Noel 2 - I already have his first AASB, comboing them should be fun
Aerith - Hell yeah!!! She's my favorite endgame-viable healer (sorry Yuna)

Personally, I like healing 9999 with my USB entries. This was especially useful against Odin, where you could proc a Last Stand, use your USB with Last Stand, and then be able to safely survive 2 major AoE 9999 nukes.

I guess with record boards, you no longer need Mind and Healing Boon to pull that off, but I still think they're nice to have.

Nowadays, I've dropped the Mind Boon, since I already get +15 from 2 6* magicites, but I don't see myself dropping the Healing Boon anytime soon.

Damn, if we hit the stretch goal of 500 million in that matching minigame, we're apparently getting 5(!) Elemental/Realm tickets.

I loved tearing Dahaka to shreds for the Cardia missions. 15:82, mostly thanks to Lightning's Sync. I also have Raines and Snow AASBs for the realm, but Dahaka's dead before those two can even get going.

Even that Vanille Glint+ I pulled at some point is useful here as a free Medica, because I kinda need one before she has enough gauge for her BSB.

As usual, I spent mine on FFVIII. Things were looking pretty good with 2 rainbows and 2 discos, but 3 of them were dupes, including another damn copy of Ward's AASB. Unless I misremember, that's the 5th time I've pulled it. At this rate, I'll be able to cast that thing twice without even using a single Scroll. 9/15 there already.

Arabia is ridiculous.

Bazaar is amazing with its additionnal resources.
Camel Archers are insane: Ranged + movement after attacking, means you can just kill your enemies (including cities) without casualties if you are careful.

The better land trade routes are probably their least useful trait, and even those aren't bad at all.

Killed my last 3 Omegas today.

Ice-weak was by far the worst. Only one source of imperil in Serah's BSB (and Shiva's follow-up attack, I guess), so I couldn't even hope to keep his ice-weakness at a decent level. I was basically fightning him at -60% weakness for his last 20%. A major slog, but Rinoa succeeded shortly before the auto-eject.

Soon-ish, we get an update where you can hone AASBs and AOSBs. Like Syncs, each dupe gets you 2 ranks, or you can use scrolls from lenses for 1 rank each.

If you get an AASB to rank 15, you can cast it twice.
If get an AOSB to rank 10, the cost is lowered to 2 gauges.

Spain is possibly the biggest all-or-nothing civ in the game. If you start the game close to a good wonder, which you are first to discover, the game is basically already won after 10 turns. 500 Gold early on is HUGE. On the other hand, if there are no natural wonders nearby, you're basically playing a civ with no passive, since a few hundred gold over the course of an entire game is meaningless.

Ticket on VIII got me 2 useless 5*s (Quistis BSB and Raijin LMR)

I found Alex very easy. Here's my team:

Seph uses Lifesiphon until he has 4 bars, then uses USB1, AASB, USB2, then ability spam
Kiros spams 6* ninja, then uses his USB, keeps spamming the 6* ninja until he can cast AASB, then more ability spam
Seifer uses LS until he has 4 bars, then uses Radiant Shield BSB, followed by his CSB. Then MoD spam with his imperil Glint when available.
Tyro opens with Godwall, then some Wrath until he can cast AASB, then he switches to entrusting Elarra.
Elarra waits until Alex uses his second attack, then AASB and bard spam. USB2 around the time the chain goes live, then USB1, Bard, Fabula Mage, Magicite, whatever depending on party health.

I didn't even have to play around with the Light Sphere, Alex dies so fast to Sephiroth and Kiros.
Gets the kill around 29-32 seconds.

There are several ways to improve the percentage that each character adds to the Link%, mostly unlocking parts of their Record Board and using Crystal Waters.

You can unlock more characters by breaking the lvl caps or raising the HCs lvl.

What I don't really know though, is what the link % actually does.

Welp, that's a lot of new stuff.

Used a few of my tickets on the Earth banner and actually got Tifa's Sync! I think between this, and the increased damage for characters without en-element, I might be able to tackle Ramuh now.

I did an 11draw on the FFIX, mostly because I'd really like some upgraded Beatrix toys. I only got 1/11 Eiko USB, unfortunately. Can't afford any more draws, with LotR possibly starting tonight.

Aztecs are one of my favorite civs to play. Jaguars are super fun, and they keep all their good traits after upgrading.
Floating Gardens are borderline broken as a unique building with their +10% to food. I always try to get Hanging Gardens for a city that keeps growing every 5 turns or so, all the way until endgame.

Day 1 clear!
I decided to pick Edea's USB2 from the lens shop, that thing is godly. Together with Elarra spamming AcM and her USB1, spells are almost instant cast.

I ignore savage mode in phase 1.
Rinoa used her AASB shortly before phase 2, so awakened Shiva spam takes care of the tornadoes, with some help from Fabula Mage RW, Shiva magicite, and Edea's USB1 which I use before flight mode.

The fight isn't too bad afterwards. Damage was mostly manageable, except a 4-hit Tornado on Elarra in phase 2 that procced her Last Stand from AASB.

If I use Rinoa AASB + Dark Shiva spam, I'm sure the tornados will die quickly. The problem will be that I might run out of gas afterwards.

I checked and Edea's USB2 is actually in the lens shop. Might be worth picking up too, if I go with a mage team, since her AASB ideally wants 1 Witch ability and 1 black magic, but her USB1 is worthless for black magic.

Valefor should be interesting. My Squall and Kiros (or Noel) are more than ready. I'm just not sure if I'll run Serah's Chain or Fran's free chain.

A mage clear could also be possible, since my Rinoa is stacked and Edea at least has her AASB and USB1.

I pulled on IV and III with mythril from the VI event and the login bonus.

IV was kind of a waste with Decil BSB and Ceodore Holy Chain; I pulled Ramza's recently, so that's meh.
III gave CoD's en-dark LMR and Arc's AASB. Not bad.

You can destroy the walls. If you have the dps to burn Shiva fast enough, it may not be worth it, but you can. Especially in phase 2, you want to destroy them if you can't burn through phase 2 before the Curada.

In my physical clears, I ignore the walls in round 2, but they get get destroyed in phase 3 when Noctis uses the AoE samurai.

I'm not sure if the Radiant Shield is worth it. My Vincent is stacked with Glint, Chain, AASB and BUSB, so I really don't have any gauge to spare on it.
My gut says the fire RS might be worth it with the fire chain, the NE one probably isn't.

I still haven't gotten my 4 Ifrits yet, and I've had so many deaths to absolute BS mechanics - mostly having last stand pop, instantly queuing up Aerith USB2, and then having sap kill me before the USB goes off. But also a few deaths to the good old trying to use my healing USB, having it preempted by an animation, and then having the boss kill me before I can reenter the USB. For me this is definitely the worst fight in the 5 year history of the game.

I've had that happen to me so many times, it's really the absolute worst.

I'm done with Ifrit, other than a mage clear eventually. I'm now working on my Shiva magicite, and that fight is such a delight after the bs that was Ifrit.

Celes w-cast Glint, then Dr Mog flies in, and turns one of the Discos into Terra's Sync! Hell yeah! The other disco was Mog Glint+, not that I really cared.
