Anime characters are always either teenagers or ancient or their weights are insane. Reading FF instruction booklets back in the day was always great because you had regular sized adult males listed as like 115 lbs or you find out a guy that looks like hes in his 50s like Auron is only supposed to be 35.

I'm not sure about other branches, but I worked in air traffic where you the dumb idiots got filtered out pretty quickly, because it's not a job you can be a dumb idiot. When I was pretty new to the Air Force this trashy white dude said the n-word around a black coworker who told him to say it again and see what would happen. The kid did it so the black guy took him down and choked him out at work. Pretty sure the entire squadron knew but the only punishment was a "counseling session" followed by a fist bump.

I never got along with the white kid but the lack guy dude was cool, I was one of the first people he told when he got engaged.

My editor wants me to write an article about a newly established group in town that markets events to out-of-towners to try and make the city more of a destination place. They straight up told me that their primary focus is not on locals, so I write a profile on them describing just that.

Meanwhile, my editor reads it, and immediately wants me to change it up because "our audience is locals, they don't care about that," but the thing is they're not going to care anyway. We're a local publication and they advertise events for tourists. The locals are never going care about this story, so why can't we just scrap it?

Well, even the X-Men ended up being an off-brand X-Men, by the time it was reclaimed from Fox.

I disagree, but I can't say your opinion is wrong. You really can't go wrong with Coen bros movies. My personal favorite is O Brother Where Art Thou. Had the greatest movie soundtrack ever until Llewyn Davis came out.

I'm still hoping and praying Blood Meridian gets a theatrical release. Part of its greatness is the writing itself, sure, but it's such a bleak novel that I think it could translate great to film (if the Coens did it...)
